Alpha Black would never do this

Tessa had no idea how long she had been staring at the letter before she finally snapped out of it and slowly lifted her gaze back to Helen.

“I know you’ve never liked me Helen, but that doesn’t give you the right to play this kind of prank on me,” Tessa said quietly, staring at her.

Helen chuckled, crossing her legs the way she was seated on her chair. “You think this is a prank? Didn’t you see the Alpha’s seal on the letter?”

“That’s exactly why this is ridiculous, because I know Alpha Black would never do something like this to me.”

Helen let out a short laugh, “why? Because you’re fucking him?”

Tessa’s heart almost stopped. How did she know about that?

Helen smirked. “Why are you so shocked? Did you think no one would ever find out?”

Tessa felt her chest tighten. That was impossible. There was no way Helen could know. She and Black had made sure to keep their relationship hidden.

They only met outside the pack whenever she had time off work. The only moments they interacted inside the pack house were when she delivered his meals or when he mind-linked her. They were careful so there was no way Helen could know.

“You better watch your tongue Helen, you might be the head omega but I won’t stand here and let you throw accusations around. Besides, Alpha Black will have your tongue for spreading lies about him,” Tessa warned, forcing herself to stay calm.

Helen laughed again, “oh please, don’t even try to deny it now. You and I both know what you are. You act all innocent during working hours, but behind closed doors you’re sneaking into Alpha Black’s room moaning for him like the cheap bitch you are,” she paused deliberately making sure every word landed, “what? Did you actually think he was going to marry you? That he’d pull you out of poverty and make you his Luna? Wake up bitch, you were nothing but another slut to him, or why else would he fire you and ask me to hand this to you?”

At this point, Tessa’s eyes felt itchy but she tried her best to hold back her tears.

“You know nothing about me and I suggest you keep your mouth shut before throwing silly accusations at my face.”

Helen shrugged. “Whatever makes you sleep at night dear. The order came directly from the Alpha. Pack your things and leave the pack. You’re not welcome here anymore.”

Tessa stared at her, finding it really hard to believe any of this was actually happening. There was no way Black would do this to her. She felt like she was trapped inside some horrible nightmare she couldn’t escape from.

Without saying another word, she turned and walked out of the office, slamming the door behind her.

Getting outside of Helen’s office with tear filled eyes, Tessa unlocked her phone and dialed Black’s number. She brought the phone to her ear and waited patiently for him to answer. Her call went to voicemail but that didn’t stop her from trying again.

This time around Black cut the call from his end. She dialed his number again and got the same answer.

“Oh God…” Tessa sniffled, trying to get herself together. It felt like her entire world was crumbling piece by piece but she refused to believe it. There had to be an explanation for everything that was happening right now and if Black wouldn’t answer her calls then she would have to go look for him in the Alpha’s mansion.

She didn’t give a shit that omegas like her weren’t allowed inside the Alpha’s mansion, or that getting caught on the mansion grounds could land her in serious trouble.

None of that mattered right now. She was going to find Black.
