Prompt 28: The Killing Game/Urban Thriller

The Killing Game

FL:

She is stalked by a strange man who later offers to kill those who bully her. She is frightened about his offer and wants to get rid of him, but it is useless. One day when she is teased by her stepmother, she summons the courage to hit her with a golf club and her stepmother falls down to the ground, unconscious. Just then, the doorbell rings. It is him. He helps her clean up the scene and does the last stroke to kill her stepmother. Then, she agrees to do the game with him---they help each other to kill those who they don’t like. But she feels horrified all the time and finds out she cannot return to normal anymore. What is odd is that she can feel his sincere love towards her but she dares not to respond to it.

 

ML/Potential Development:

1.Why would ML stalk her? Who is he?(wanted serial killer?) What’s their feeling towards each other and how does it develop? The Prehistory?

2.(as a suspense)He is her self-reflected consciousness in her dream. In reality and also reflected in dreams, FL loves her step brother who hates her because of her forbidden love and her illness. So it is true that ML is the one who loves her most in the world. Eventually when FL is too freaked out by ML and decides to kill him, her deed makes him disappear. And SNAP, back in reality. She’s been in a long sleep and kept in an asylum the whole time. And now she wakes up to face the harsh fact, and remembering that this is repeating history. Everytime FL falls into a sedative long sleep, she’ll dream of ML and the same story goes repeatedly, she kills ML every time as the ending. Every Time she’s sober, the pain of reality is so overwhelming that she dreams again. They will reunite in her dream as long as she is alive. And another cycle begins...
