Chapter 16: Stepbrother

"Finally!" Dominic exclaimed when he saw Sandra at his front door. "I miss you!" he hugged her then immediately dragged her inside his pad.

Sandra just chuckled and shook her head as he guided her to sit in one of the high chairs beside the counter. "What did you cook? I'm starving," she said and watched Dominic maneuvered the kitchen.

"Chicken of course," he answered without looking at her, "Where have you been? Took you long enough," he added then glanced at her over his shoulder with squinted eyes.

Sandra's brows slightly furrowed then sighed. "I misplaced my notebook somewhere. I had to search for it, but I just wasted my time and didn't find it"

"Is it important?"

She nodded. "Quite important. Good thing I still remember what's written on it."

"Hhm. Just rewrite it or type it on your computer. It's safer and less hassle. But knowing you.. you'll probably won't be able to sleep tonight because you love your pens and notebooks" he chuckled.
