Jace opened the door for her. His lips pressed around the straw of his drink. He watched how her expressions changed only slightly. It was barely noticeable but he caught on to it. He allowed her to walk out in front of him. Then ended up allowing another couple to go in. He was about to let go when a few more people showed up to go in the shop. He sighed softly as he watched Andi get further away from him.

Andi had gotten just a few feet away from him when she noticed she didn’t feel his presence. When she looked back she seen he was still holding the door open. It made her smile seeing that there were chivalrous men in this time. Most gods in the olden days did as they pleased. They took the goddesses as they saw fit and the mortals by force. Thinking back to the fate of Medusa there was a time she wished to have intervene. Athena truly had anger an jealousy problems.

Andi turned back around. She smiled at the people then grabbed his arm. Maybe it was possessiveness or possibly the notion of wanting to feel like a normal mortal. She pulled him away from the door. “It’s very kind of you to be a gentleman but shouldn’t you be that way with the person you’re with instead of leaving them?”

He chuckled. Who knew she had a bit of a possessive side. “Are you telling me you felt lonely while I was being courteous?”

She let go of him and walked off. Embarrassed that he seen through her real feelings. “Not a chance. You’re imagining things. Come on. You said you would help with this video.”

“Sure, sure. I’m on it. But in exchange let’s call this a date and you give me a kiss as a reward. How’s that sound?”

She couldn't believe this was something he would suggest. Her left eyebrow raised in his audacity. If she said no he could renege on his promise. With a sigh she leaned over and kissed his cheek. “A kiss is a kiss. You didn't express where.” She smiled seeing the sour look on his face.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets. He was pouting. If his ears were visible they would be droopy. “I didn't specify but a more sweeter kiss seemed appropriate considering I'm going to be helping you out big.”

“Not a chance. Maybe tomorrow when we go to the Arcade. That is if you can beat me in 5 games.”

His intrigue was piqued. “5 games? I have to beat you and you'll give me a kiss. On the lips?”

“Who knows but I doubt you'll win against me.” She felt in her element teasing him. Having lived for so long she never was able to do these sort of things.

“Then I'll pick the games.” Jace walked her back to her residency.

They stopped just in front of her door. Andi looked hesitant. Her fingers twirling several locks. “So… you promise you'll get to work on that video?”

He covered his mouth to hide his smile. “Sure I will. You're my girl aren't you?”

Her eyes grew big. They nearly popped out of her head. “huh?”

He kissed her forehead. He wanted to leave a mark claiming her as his own but waited until she accepted him for who he was. “We can discuss it after tomorrow.” He patted her head then left.

She only stood there entranced. He had kissed her. Not only kissed her but it seemed he had also claimed her as his girlfriend. Did she just get a boyfriend? Is that possible? No, Jupiter would be furious. He was overprotective but she knew it would be irresponsible of her to have a relationship when the possibility of a threat was looming over their future.

Jace made a call to his best friend and beta. “Hey found out who posted that video on the student site.”

“Sure. It’s already removed. I take it this has something to do with that female you met?”

“Don’t worry about it. Just make sure it's done.” He ended the call. His inner wolf felt irritated. How could she have known anything about Andi already when they only just met hours ago. Corrine could find information about a flea moving from a dog to cat. She was just that plugged in. Whether the was good or bad depends on the situation.

Jace and Corrine grew up together in the same pack. Their moms were as close as close could be. Sometimes their parents would say they were destined to become a power couple. She just wasn’t the one his wolf longed for. He knew that but Corrine wouldn't acknowledge they weren't right for each other. He hoped she wouldn't do something stupid to make sure he was hers.
