“I’m not a child you know,” Green chuckled as I fed her a slice of apple.

“Well, Lilith did say you shouldn’t stress yourself.” I replied and she smirked.

“I can do just fine with an apple,”

I curled my right arm around her neck so she could lean on my shoulder as we sat up on the bed with the plates of fruit on my thighs.

“Don’t be stubborn,” I hushed and she held my waist tighter.

“Your babies are kicking a little more than usual today.” She whispered and I chuckled while I rubbed her belly gently. It always gave me a different kind of joy feeling their gentle pulse. “I have a feeling they might take after my stubbornness.”

“Maybe,” I chuckled. “That’s not such a bad thing you know,” She frowned at me.

“Since they’re taking your stubbornness, they’re surely taking after your courage, will power, and love,” I added and she smiled. “As for me, surely they’ll take after these irresistible charms of mine.”

“You wish,” we both laughed and in this moment I was grateful. For the first time
