Chapter 19

? Adrian's POV ?

We got to the court in less than an hour and Anthony held my hand before we got down from the car.

"Don't fret, babe. Things will work out in your favor", he smiled reassuring.

"Okay", I said and we got down from the car.

We entered into the court room and I sat between Mum and Dad. We waited for some minutes and Frank was brought in accompanied by 2 policemen. As soon as he entered, he looked around and his eyes landed on mine. It has been long I have seen him and he hasn't changed a bit since when I saw him except for his haircut. He smiled at me and I felt myself tense. His smile held many unsaid words and I was scared. Dad squeezed my hand from beside me and I looked away from Frank and to Dad. Dad smiled dryly at me and I felt relieved. 

We waited for some minutes and the judge came in. We stood up when the registrar called "arise" to honor the judge. After we greeted him, we sat and Frank looked at me again.
