Chapter Six

The Rescue

"Dave can we speak to you for a moment" his superior asked 

"Of course sir" replied Dave

"it was a false alarm, it wasn't him at the airport, it was just some guy that looks like him. Go home, we will let you know the next step"

"Shit, Sarah" he said remembering that she would still be waiting for him. He got home to find the door open. 

"Sarah..." he brought out his gun ready for action

"Sarah are you there?" 

He went up to the bedroom, he still couldn't find her, he hurriedly went downstairs, took out his cell phone and called his boss.

"They took her" he said worried

"Who took who?" the boss asked

"They took Sarah" he said trying to hold back tears

"Fuck! you think it was a diversion?" the boss asked

"I don't know, could it be a coincidence? why would they waste time taking her instead of me, I gotta find her, it's all my fault, I should have been here"

"Hey, hey, It's not your fault, you didn't know what was going to happen, we will find her alright, she is our number one priority right now okay, come down to the station, let's get on it" 

Dave closed the door and went right back to the station

(At the station)

"Any leads on her?" asked Dave

"I think you may have a location on her" 

"What? where?" 

"It will be shown in a minute but i want you to prepare for what you are about to see, it was a video taken by one of our undercover agent in there"

He played the video, Sarah was seen in a site, tied and being tortured. Suddenly Dave turned to the agent that brought in the tape, grabbed him and smacked him on the ground while other agents tried to get him off but Dave was holding him so tight, he kept screaming 

"And you let them do this to her? You couldn't have done anything?"

"Get off him, i wont ask you again" said the boss. 

The other agents finally got Dave off the agent. 

"Oh, don't be stupid" replied the agent he attacked while dusting and adjusting his cloth "you know the moment he make a move, that his dead and so will she" said the agent to Dave

"Get yourself together, agent Dave" said the captain "your wife is in danger and we have the location, we have to hurry, this is not the time for fighting preserve that strength for the people who are actually harming her"

Dave is seen entering the captive compound, they seized him immediately he entered

"Stop right there" shouted one of the agents guarding the place as they all pointed a gun at him

"Get down on your knees" he continued

 "I'm unarmed, tell your boss Dave Harryson is here"

"Oh no need for that, we have been expecting you, you see, took you long enough though, we had to get creative with your wife, she is a tough one" the boss said while walking towards Dave

"Where is my wife?" asked Dave

"She is okay, I guess" he laughed

"I will kill you myself" threatened Dave 

"Whoa, such a big word for a captive, don't you think?" asked Castillo  "now where are your little friends, you can't expect me to believe you came out here all by yourself do you?" 

"I am capable of handling myself" replied Dave

"Oh yeah? how is that working out for you huh? If that is so, what is the big plan here, you are unarmed, held captive what next, the boss asked looking around" he laughed "well, she is still alive, but not for long if you or your colleagues make any move"

"I can assure you, am alone, you wanted me, you have me, now let her go"

"Not yet... the Castillo's statement was interrupted by gunshots

"It's a raid" one of the Castillo's agents shouted 

Dave quickly hit one of the men holding him and took his gun and started shooting, Castillo's agents secured him but not before Dave shoot him on the leg. There were a lot of shooting as the agents moved towards the house, a little while the door where i was been held was opened, they untied me

"You are safe now" one of the agents said to me. I was too high though to understand what was happening, I couldn't really stand or walk on my own, the two agents supported me out of the house. 

"Sarah, what did they give her" Dave asked as he lifted her face which fell almost immediately. 

"I think she was drugged, we need to get her to the hospital, sir"

They took me to the car

 "Let me know which hospital you are taking her" he moved forward to where the boss was been held, he pounced on him and hit him so hard, the other agents held him back "What did you do to my wife, you piece of shit!"

He got himself free, entered one of the cars and drove straight to the hospital that i was taken to as one of the agents already texted it to him. They took me to the Emergency room where they administered immediate treated to purge the drugs off my system. Hours after the doctor came out and Dave asked immediately, "is she okay?"

"She is stable now, she will be fine, she is resting at the moment" replied the doctor. "Can I see her" asked Dave 

"Yes you can" said the doctor

Dave quickly went on into the room and sat beside me

"Hey, am here now" he said as he kissed my forehead

Tried to sit up

"No no no, don't move" he said

"What happened, how am I here?" i asked

"You were adopted... baby am so sorry I put you in danger, am sorry I wasn't there to protect you"

"The last thing I remember is being held in a dark room, Dave they were asking about you, why were they asking about you

"Hey shhh, rest now okay, we will talk about that later, am so glad you are okay".
