"HOW'S MY adorable grandson?"
"Kiss mommy!" he said, cheerfully. I smiled and gave him a peak on his lips.
"Kumusta ang biyahe, anak?" tanong ni Mamá. Naglakad kami papasok ng bahay.
"Tiring," tipid kong sagot.
"How about my baby boy?" she asked my son who's sucking his thumb.
I sighed.
"Oh, you like that one, baby?" natutuwang tanong ni Mama.
"Levin like it, Mamalola," malambing na sagot ng aking anak.
Matalino just like Mamalola and Papalolo," wika nito.
I just rolled my eyes. Knowing how good my mother in debating, I might lose. Well, it's true that I've been blessed such a smart, loving, caring parents. All through my journey, they've been there on my side. They didn't leave me on my darkest days. They lift me up and give me another chance of living again.
"How's New York?" she asked.
"It's good. I got all the time well spent seeing my son grow. But nothing beats home," I replied.
She smiled. "I see. It's your decision going back here. And I guess... you already moved on,"
I am? Hindi na lamang ako umimik at nagsimulang kumain.
___
We stayed on my old room. Mamá keeps the room clean everyday kahit wala ako. Pinadagdagan din niya ito ng kagamitang pambata.
As I closed the door, my son yawned. "Ah, inaantok na ang aking little pumpkin," natatawa kong sabi. But turns out that he didn't get it. He tilted his head on the right side and stared at me. Confusion lit his green eyes.
Levin grew in America and doesn't know how to speak Filipino.
When I got pregnant, we lived in my aunt Mila house in New York. Kapatid ni Papá. My father is an American while my mother is a Filipina. All the kids there speak English. Among the family, me and my mother who only knows how to speak Filipino. Well, nakakaintindi naman si Papá but he can't speak fluently. That's why, Levin didn't even know how. He's only two years old. He just turned two last month.
"You're sleepy?" I asked.
He nodded. And sucked his thumb again. I smiled. "Dede?"
"Dede," he repeated.
I stopped breast feeding my son when he reached one year old and two months.
"Mommy, down," he said.
I smiled again. He really knows when to take actions. Alam nitong mahihirapan akong magtimpla. For such a young age, he's smart.
Ibinaba ko ito at pinaupo sa kama. "Wait here and Mommy will make milk," I said.
"Okay."
He skipped lunch but I know his tummy was full of milk. Or we can eat outside.
"We'll go shopping, baby," masaya kong sabi habang pinapalitan ang kanyang damit.
Napatalon naman ito sa tuwa. "Toys!" he shouted.
"Nah, we buy milk not toys, okay?"
Sumimangot ito. "I want toys," he whispered.
I can't resist him. He's so cute. He really looks like him, but there eyes were different.
"Okay, we buy toys," I said. And just like what I thought, his eyes twinkled as happiness filled in.
I just wore a simple yellow floral dress above the knee and a white low-cut adidas shoes. And of course, a sling bag.
How I miss driving this car.
"Ma, I can handle. We're good. So please, shut the door and let us go," I said.
"Okay. Saan kayo uuwi after?"
I started the car engine. "Dito, Ma.
"Oo. Noong isang araw pa bago kayo umuwi. Why don't you sell it and stay with us? Your father was still in states at mga maids lang ang kasama ko dito. Why don't you stay here with me?" tanong nito.
"Ma, we already talk about it, right? I want to take full responsibilities for my child," I replied.
"I will take him at work," sagot ko.
"You can't concentrate on your work if that's the case.
I sighed, "Okay, Ma. If you insist. Pwede na ba kaming umalis? We'll get back before four."
Papá and Mamá insisted to supply our needs, but I refused. I want to be independent. I want to give sacrifices. I want to see life outside my parents embrace.
They know me, if I don't want help, just don't. Magtatampo ako. And they hate it. Besides, I still have zeros on my savings account from my modeling career way back then. My son is growing day by day.
That's why I agreed on my mother proposal.
Work on our company.
As the only child, I need to work for the future of our business.
I took Business Administration in college but work as a model after I graduated. My parents supported me all through my journey. I only stopped modeling when I got pregnant. I still remember the headline,
Keila Vienne Aragon stepped down from modeling industry.
No one knows why. Because my father pull some strings, perhaps.
Almost three years.
I wonder if people will still recognize me. All through those years, marami nang nagbago. From black long straight hair, I changed the color to ash blonde. My body changed too. Hindi na katulad ng dati. I gained weight but my body figure stays the same.
Model dati eh.
Ngayon, nanay na.
A mother of an adorable, smart and handsome little boy named, Levin Eres Xenon.
"Wait, Levin. Mommy needs to live this here," wika ko sa anak ko.
"Fasteh mommy, fasteh," he exclaimed.
"It's faster, Levin. Fas-ter with an r not fasteh," I corrected. Ginagamit na naman niya ang accent niya. Jusko!
Levin love cars more than any toys. He's very observant at alam kong nakita niya ang malalaking de-remote na sasakyan sa itaas na bahagi ng shelf kaninang hinihila ako papasok.
Bakit ba kasi maraming tao?
So, may artista nga?
Lex?
They have the same name.
Oh My God!
Jusko.
"Mommy?!"
"Levin!" I shouted. Wala akong pakialam kung makaagaw man ako ng pansin. Ang mahalaga ay ang anak ko. "Levin, stay where you are," I said.
Tumahimik ang paligid. Tanging ang boses ko lang ang narinig.
All eyes on me.
"Pinaglalala?" ulit nito. Ngunit natawa lang ako dahil sa tono at pagkakabigkas niya.
I carried him.
But the moment I lifted up my face, my eyes widened.
Blue eyes.
Standing in front of us was the man who left me. The man whom I loved the most, but just dumped me like a trash, and broke my heart into pieces.
The father of my child.
"You look gorgeous." Kerry holds her chin merely glaring at him, if he was expecting a compliment back she wasn't going to give any. "See, you're behaving just like your mother, quiet, obedient. If you're lucky you could be my submissive as well." Kerry held her disgust down her throat."Well if I'm lucky you could loose your mind and snap my neck before then." Sinclair didn't mind her, he turned his back at her. "Hannah and Zachary are coming you better try your best to convince them you have to marry me or…""Yeah, yeah, or you'll tell the world that I was the one who murdered Liam Drew. I get it Sinclair so if that's all you got kindly find someone else to piss of I don't have the energy." Sinclair cast his gaze at her but she was unaffected, she was not like Hannah who would do anything to survive even though she was cornered. Kerry was different and it irritated him, he already hit her but she wasn't fazed, it was as if every single thing he tried to do to her was non threatenin
Beads of sweat stroke down the tepid across her face. Her sight was everything, he was the one taking in her agitated view, he wondered how carmine it would be with his member wrapped around the cusp of her lips. Hannah laid her head hoping to cool down the warmth across her face, she surmised him struggling, curious, she faced him head on just to see him devoid of his customary covering.Hannah basked at his bare figure, her teeth clamped her lips and if she dug any further she might have bled. Zachary leans over brushing his thumb over her lower lip, he held himself back from nibbling on them but the image of sweat drenched with blood aroused him. Another hand disposed of her under garment and Hannah couldn't stop a grin breaking across her pompous face. Her eyes stayed dove-like believing he would keep to his promise faster."You really are goddamn poignant." The grunt that followed lingered in Hannah's ears. He didn't even give her time to unwind her thoughts. He spread her legs
"How was today ?" Hannah brushed off his question, breathless between the kiss. Zachary smiled enjoying how oblivious she was to his question. He stopped the movement below their torso, curving a hand over her waist while the other hand helped hold her chin. "How was your day ?" Hannah didn't find his interruption funny at all, she didn't just encounter a death scare for this. "Don't do this Zachary." She almost whined trying to connect their lips once again but Zachary would not allow it."Not until you answer my question." He pressured."Christian finally shows up out of nowhere and planted a bomb on Olivia and Flora but I killed him before he could set the bomb off." This piece of information made Zachary weak all of a sudden, Hannah held his face crashing her lips on his as though she's been deprived of them for years.Zachary pushes her back. "Are you okay ?" Hannah's could understand his concern, he appeared as though he had witnessed the incident himself. "Mhmm." She mumbled
ZACHARY'S POVWhen I recommend for Claire to drop by sometime I didn't say she had to come by my house. I was busy or should I better rephrase that I was being drowned by work until she came over using my statement as armour. She waltz in without an invitation proceeds to raise the bridge of her nose. "You seem to have your work cut out for you." The irritation she had earlier was gone, it was her usual fake cheery self."Again, I'll repeat myself, get out of my house." I raised my voice a bit since the last two times were uneffective. "But you were the one who invited me Zachary, don't you think you should at least pretend you're happy to see me ?" "But I'm not happy to see you." I clicked my tongue at her. She pressed the back of her palm over her forehead. "Oh goodness Zachary can't you get a joke." She dropped her palm when she realized I'm dead serious about her absence."Why do you hate me so much ?" I don't know how she could so oblivious to the reason why so I just ignored h
