Chapter: 12.******Conri was in a rage as he sped down the part which leads to Darevil. He was angry as he rushed through the woods, the sound of his breath echoing in his ears, the wind whipping around him like an angry ghost, as it blew his long dark hair into a wild mess, like a dark tornado. A wind that came from nowhere, a sudden wind that was not supposed to be there. Chapter: 13.******River Bay Pack has been in its worst state since the Alpha took ill. The pack is in shambles, and as a result, no one has gotten much sleep for weeks. It's not only the fact that the Alpha has taken ill - he's also dying, or so they've heard since Luna's visit. The Weretiger Clan has gone into hiding and search parties have been sent out to discover their new home. They have yet to find any trace of it, even after days of searching. Chapter: 14.*****Marina arrived at her destination, she calmly got out of her car and shut the door with a soft click. The air was warm in front of the small building; she breathed it in, savoring it like some kind of medicine. He can't explain it any other way than it is a feeling that he hasn't known before. It's an overwhelming force, a desire, a want, a need for something more. Chapter: 16.******The day was warm and muggy as if the sky had been drenched in water. The heat from the asphalt pavement was enough to make one sweat profusely, even with sunglasses on. A group of children played in the playground with a swing set and monkey bars, but the adults were nowhere to be seen, probably hiding away under the shades. Are children immune to harsh weather? The air tasted thick and oppressive like it belonged inside a humid greenhouse rather than outside where the sun shimmered in the cloudless blue sky. Even the birds seemed lazy and reluctant to fly about their usual business. A cool wind blew through the streets and caused the leaves on the trees to rustle as if they were sighing. Chapter: 17.******Sat on his desk, looking over the papers spread across it, Conri let out a soft sigh of annoyance. Why was it that no one seemed to be able to do anything right in his absence? He looked around at the office he had commandeered from the other Alphas of their respective Packs, and then back down at the papers scattered across his desk. His fingers drummed along the tabletop, and then he picked up one of the papers and began flicking through it lazily. It didn't even take him much time before his attention returned to the paperwork. The only thing that kept him going, really, was that the papers were proving themselves not to be boring after all.
