(Two weeks later…)

Based on the number of squirrels and birds going outside and begin collecting nuts and berries, and twigs for their nests, the seasons have displayed their apparent change. From the smouldering hot summer to the chilly cold weather of the autumn, time passed by Maplewood, like many other places. Yet, a figure is looking at itself in the mirror restlessly, hopping at one place while huffing and puffing as it tried to calm itself.

Not too far from the jumpy figure, separated by a wall, there was a sound of people talking briefly, followed by the sound of knocking on the door.

“Elaine?” A muffled male voice asked from the other side.

The jumpy young girl separated herself from the mirror to turn her head towards the door.

“Come in.” She heard her voice skidded a bit, indicating her nervousness. While she swallowed, a male clad in a three piece suit and tie entered the room. His emerald pair of eyes sta
