Chapter Six

Delilah normally got a check up from her family doctor, ever since she's been released from the hospital she's been taking several exams and test.

"Very good Delilah, you're improving, soon enough you'll start gaining your memories." The doctor said. "I'm glad." Delilah muttered, she overhears Fiona groan.

"Is that all you need ?" Delilah asks Fiona who already packed seven suitcase for her temporary stay with Audrey. Audrey was getting married in a different state, Delilah already booked a hotel for Fiona's stay. "I would have packed more but you limited my bags.." Fiona hisses.

"Your going to a wedding, you don't always have to be that stands out, humble yourself.." Delilah says with a calm smile, the doctor was jotting a few words while the sisters chat.

"Easy for you to say, you're not going to be around for her wedding preparations." Fiona bites at Delilah feeling bitter.

"Well I can't help not going someone has to recover the money you spent lavishly on my supposed demise." Immediately Fiona's phone rings, she instantly glanced through it excusing herself from her sister's midst.

She goes to a confined spot in the house and answers it "Is Delilah with you ?" Dimitri's voice was heard from the other side of the phone.

"Yes, she's with Doctor Jill, the doctor says she'll soon start to recall her previous memories especially the ones with you.." Fiona says.

"And.." Dimitri scoffed uninterested.

"And ? Your wife is hands away from discovering what happened that night, she claims she lost her memory but she treats me worse than before." Fiona says.

"You and Delilah always had a rocky relationship, she's probably mad you didn't even bother to visit her and you almost dragged your family into debt, almost." Dimitri recalls which doesn't faze Fiona.

"You don't get it Dimitri, she didn't lose any memory of me, she saw us that night. Even though she doesn't recall anything about you her memories of me might effect her memories of you, she knows what we did and that's why she's punishing me, she threatened to make me a maid." Fiona half yelled the last part when she notices a maid walks past her, she made sure the maid was gone before she continued her rant.

"Just the other day, that detective that lurks around her office.."

"Are you talking about Theodore?" Dimitri snarls at the other end of the phone. "Yes, that's his name, he brought up us kissing at a graduation party, Delilah looked like she was going to snap my neck into two." Fiona says while Dimitri remained silent.

"Dimitri..." She whispered.

"Why are you calling my husband's name?" Fiona turns to see Delilah with a dull look. "Is Dimitri on the phone, give it to me." Delilah snatches Fiona's phone and talks on the phone to Dimitri, he claimed he called Fiona to ask about Delilah since she wasn't answering her calls.

She checks her phone to see the missed calls and apologizes but glares at Fiona, she hangs up still glaring at Fiona.

"Why didn't you alert me when Dimitri called, why did you come here to answer my husband's call ?" Delilah ask sending shivers down Fiona's spine.

"I wanted to tell him about the investigation." Fiona says, a frown settles on Delilah's faces which plasters into confusion.

"What Investigation ??" Delilah asks.

"You've heard the rumors about your accident, it's everywhere that someone planned it, Dimitri was worried and put up a secret Investigation, he thought it might frighten you." Fiona says, the tension between the two sisters was cold, Fiona prayed Delilah bought her story and hand back her phone.

"Have you also heard the rumours about me cheating on Dimitri ?" Delilah says.

"That's Hilarious, you'd never cheat on Dimitri you loved him so much, if you don't believe it, I'm a witness your love for him was sickening." Fiona says with a flat chuckled, it was more like a forced laugh, either way it didn't sound genuine.

"Then answer me, if I loved him so much ? Why did I remember you and erase him from my memories. And if I loved him so much and if the rumors are true why did I cheat on him ?" Delilah asks but no answer was provided.

"Was my question too complicated ? Or you still don't have common sense." Delilah says which put Fiona in deep thought.

"You didn't cheat on Dimitri, there's no proof you did Delilah. You would never do anything to hurt Dimitri." Fiona says, she looks back at Delilah was frozen in thoughts.

"And you trust in me that I didn't when I don't even trust myself, if that part of me loved him so much why do I feel like I'm going through much pain." Delilah says, Fiona could not understand what Delilah felt at the moment, she didn't even understand Delilah's last sentence.

A maid immediately walks in between the two sisters and whispers to Delilah, she nods and sends the maid away.

"Your ride is here, Theodore volunteered to take you, behave and remember our deal." Delilah says before walking past her sister.

"Weren't you supposed to drop me off ???" Fiona yells from behind.

"Something came up, I couldn't turn it down, if you misbehave and piss Theodore you might end up walking back home on your own." Delilah says stopping on her leaving her sister behind, she pushed a strand of her hair away from her sight, her calm demeanor disappear and then realizes she's with Fiona's cell phone
