Erika couldn’t sleep overnight, she was not just worried, she also blamed herself for Anna going missing, maybe if she had been more observant, Anna wouldn't have gone missing, she told herself many times. She finally closed her eyes and slept off from fatigue when it was almost dawn, she slept so deeply she didn’t know when Winston came back or when he left at dawn.

She stared at the eye bag under her eyes with distress and sighed, applied some foundation to cover it up before Winston freaked out, then left her room. She headed for Myron’s office where she knew everyone would be. That place had become their usual gathering point since Anna went missing, she wanted to know if they made any progress after searching through the whole pack and woods all night.

She opened the door without knocking but what she was met with saw were not just Winston and Collin’s sullen faces but also Avi’s presence. Avi smiled at her and Erika felt her skin crawl as if she was being stared at by a viper. S
