I sat there holding her in my arms, my eyes focused on the blank hospital waiting room wall, my emotions high as her tears landed on my shirt wetting the fabric.

I used my body to close the door as Ace continued to run his hands across my stumble, small giggles leaving him. Amelia left work earlier today after falling ill before a meeting, which worried me since she didn't really do well with illness.
