Alpha Williams stood waiting, a relaxed expression on his face. The cool night breeze calmed his nerves, and he tried to focus on the insects chirping all around the garden. He had sent for Khalid and was awaiting his arrival. Two empty chairs sat beneath the tree, but he didn’t seem to care about them at all.

More than ten minutes had passed since he sent a guard to fetch Khalid, yet neither his son nor the guard had appeared. The night was cold—even for a powerful Alpha like him—but he was determined to confront Khalid here.

Finally, soft footsteps approached. Khalid walked toward him, trailing behind the guard who had been sent to call him. The guard should have been behind Khalid, but as usual, Khalid did things his own way.

The guard reached Alpha Williams first and bowed.

“Your greatness.”

“Why did it take so long?”

“I tried—”

“Leave.” The guard nodded and quickly retreated.

Khalid reached his father, a look of clear disinterest on his face, as if he’d rather be anywhere else.

“Where’s your brother?” Alpha Williams asked.

“You should have asked the guard. I have no idea.”

Alpha Williams raised an eyebrow, trying to decipher if Khalid’s tone was disrespectful.

“What is going on? What’s happening with your mate?”

“The Omega?” Khalid responded, sounding indifferent.

“You knew about your mate, didn’t tell me, then rejected her in front of the entire pack. What were you thinking, Khalid? Word is spreading that you were mated to an Omega, but you rejected her, and now Dilan is interested in her instead.”

“Who is this Omega? What’s her name? Why didn’t you mention her before? And more importantly, what does your brother want with her?”

Khalid chuckled, lips twitching with amusement. “You’re not asking why I rejected her?”

“You’re my son; of course, I know why. An Omega will do no good for our descendants. Our bloodline is strong because it’s built on Alphas, Betas, and Gammas. An Omega would disrupt that balance. Even without that, rival packs would mock us. We’re the strongest pack around for a reason. What significance does an Alpha have with an Omega mate? If you hadn’t rejected her, I swear I’d have—”

“Why did you call me here, Father?” Khalid interrupted sharply.

Alpha Williams looked briefly offended, like he wanted to mark Khalid in some way to remind him not to grow too bold. Instead, he spoke again.

“I want to know your plan.”

Khalid stared, silently urging his father to continue.

Alpha Williams took three strides and sat on one of the chairs, gesturing for Khalid to sit as well. Khalid declined, remaining standing.

“Since you returned from Pac Kuvan’s, your attitude has been concerning. What’s your problem? You’re going to be the Alpha soon. You’d better start acting like it.”

“You mentioned my plan,” Khalid said, still standing. “I don’t have one. I’m waiting for life to play out.”

“What are you going to do with the Omega? She can’t stay here, and you know it. You better have a plan to get rid of her. And once again, I don’t understand—how does your brother fit into all this?”

“L-lord Khalid…” a voice called timidly.

Khalid turned sharply.

“I—I couldn’t do it. I don’t know how it happened but your—”

Khalid silenced him with a single glare, the threat in his eyes stopping Caleb’s words. He grabbed Caleb’s shoulder and led him away from the garden.

Alpha Williams stood dumbfounded, watching the guard’s terrified face as Khalid left without informing him, right in the middle of their conversation.

“Khalid!” the Alpha called after him.

Khalid didn’t stop or look back. He kept leading Caleb forward.

When they finally left the garden area, Khalid glanced at Caleb’s pale face and sighed. “Speak.”

“I—I was…”

“Don’t stammer. I’m not going to eat you.”

Caleb didn’t seem convinced. “We were at the dungeon, and everything was okay, but—”

“My brother took her, didn’t he?”

Caleb hesitated but shook his head no. “No, my lord. I—I tried my best to avoid him. He wasn’t even there when you gave the order. He wasn’t anywhere around. But it seemed like he knew we were coming down to the dungeon and was waiting for us.”

A couple of seconds passed, the silence deafening.

“Caleb, have you ever sworn on something?”

Caleb froze, eyes darting around nervously. “I—I don’t understand what you mean, my lord.”

“Like— ‘I swear I won’t do this, and if I do, then I’ll…’”

“Yes, I have,” Caleb admitted.

“And what do you say you’d do if you didn’t live up to that oath?”

“N-nothing,” Caleb said, clearly confused. “I always live up to my word.”

“Really?” Khalid smiled darkly. “So do I.”

MIAThe man he held looked terrified. He was dressed like hospital staff, but something about him felt… off. Too alert. Too still.“You were following and watching us,” Khalid said, pushing him forward. “Why?”The man trembled, mouth opening to speak—but no sound came out. He couldn’t even look Khalid in the face. “I... I...”He looked around my age or a little older, with short hair, thick eyebrows, and a hardened face. As I stared at him, my heart throbbed against my ribcage. The thought of a stranger watching me was scarier than anything I’d imagined. And for what reason?“Y-your greatness. I was just shitting in the bushes. I swear I wasn’t watching or following you. Why would I want to do that?”I might have believed him—if I didn’t know there were countless toilets in the clinic. What did he take us for?“Oh,” Khalid said, nodding as if convinced. “Okay.”He let the man go and ushered me into the passenger seat, then turned to go to the driver’s side. When he started the engine

MIAMy head was hammering when I opened my eyes, bright lights blinding me. I turned to see what was going on, and saw the IV drip-tube on the hanger.“Hey. You’re awake.”For the first time I turned hastily to realize that someone was in the room. It was a female doctor who looked a little older than I was.“How do you feel?” she asked, a smile on her face.I shut my eyes, trying to remember what happened—and it all came back. Jumping off the car. The running. Headlights blinding me. Being knocked off by the vehicle.I opened my eyes. “Where am I?”“This is the Moonshade Clinic. Lord Dilan brought you here.” Her smile widened as she said his name, like his title alone lifted her mood.I wondered where he was… then stopped myself. I remembered I was going away before all of this happened. I remembered Caleb.Every part of my body ached. Still, I knew I needed to get out of here—to go somewhere the two brothers and my whole pack would never find me.“I need to leave…” I started to stan

Dilan cursed under his breath, hitting his foot on the floor repeatedly. He was sitting on a chair in the reception of the werewolf clinic, chewing his fingers with a thoughtful expression. He had been forced to bring her here. But he didn’t have any other choice. This clinic was closest to where the accident happened. If he had reversed his vehicle to go to his personal doctor’s clinic, it might have been too late. The downside of this clinic was that it was too public, and it was owned by the BlackStorm pack—even though Alpha William and his family rarely visited. Dilan’s head was facing the floor, but he still heard the sounds and whispers as people walked past him. “That looks like Alpha William’s son,” someone remarked. “What rubbish are you spewing?” a second female voice countered. “The Alpha’s family never visits the hospital because doctors and healers attend to them at home.” “It’s him, I think it’s him... I can feel his heavenly aura. I just wish he would raise his

MIAWhen Dilan came back, I was seated on the floor. And so was Eva.Her back was still against the chair I had pushed her to, and her head was bent down, hair covering her face. I didn’t think the push had hurt her that much—definitely not enough to leave her frozen like that. She was waiting for him to come in and see her that way. Playing weak, just for him.I wasn’t surprised. Surely, he’d be angered if he saw her like this. He liked her.But I couldn’t care less.So much had happened already—so much that I felt nothing anymore. No fear, no worry, not even anger. Just… exhaustion. Let Dilan be angry. Let him scream or lash out. I didn’t care what he did. When the door opened, his eyes landed on her first. Then on me.I waited for the flash of rage in his eyes. For a yell. A demand for answers.Instead, Dilan walked up to me and offered his hand.“We’re leaving,” he said simply.“Going back to the pack?” I asked, trying not to sound too eager—but the hope slipped through. He nodded

I sat on a chair in the sitting room, my head was lowered to the floor. Eva was sitting across from me, and even without looking, I could feel her gaze. She was silently observing me. The room was quiet, and though it was uncomfortable, I liked it that way. I didn’t want her to speak. If anything, I was grateful she was following Dilan’s order. The TV was on, playing some show on mute. Eva had turned it on herself, but her attention was clearly on me. She was obviously enjoying my discomfort, and it made my skin boil.Dilan had left not long after dropping me off, telling me he’d be back shortly. No explanations. No reason why he brought me here.My stomach growled loudly, and I cursed under my breath, hoping she didn’t hear it.Then I heard her leave the room. I considered lifting my head—maybe she finally got bored, or maybe she had something else to do. Either way, I was fine with it.Bell had been panicking since we arrived at the here. She missed her mate, and she reminded me o

  • HOW TO KILL THE OMEGA LUNA   Chapter 7

MIA’S POVI was shaken as Dilan led me out of the underground stairs. He held my hand, dragging me forcefully, until I stopped him.I had watched him hit Caleb in the face and warn him to stay away before taking me. I’d tried to protest, but Dilan left so quickly I found myself at the top of the stairs before I could blink. He growled when I freed my arms from his grip, irritation flashing in his expression. “What are you doing—” “There’s no time for this, Mia. If you want, I can explain while we’re driving.”I froze. He had called me by name. I hadn’t fully processed everything that happened today, but I was certain—I never told him my name. And he hadn’t heard anyone else say it either. So how did he know? Before I could ask, he grabbed my hand again and kept moving. Two servants patrolled toward us, whistling and laughing, but they froze when they saw us. Dilan gave them a stern look, and they bowed quickly and nervously. Soon, we reached his car parked at the corner of the h
