Xevia's POV

This was the last thing I could do to prove what I declared was true, that the baby's father was Alarick Dereck Ivyari, the prince alpha of the Redmoon Guardians pack.

Yeah, I had to prove it because no one believed me; they accused me of telling an untruth and threatened to banish me from the pack.

"You all know. My son couldn't possibly have gone that low. He couldn't be in a relationship with such a slave!"

"Almaera, help me!" I hissed and pleaded with her. But Almaera did not respond. She continued to touch and swirl around me in her wolf form. Almaera does have extraordinary abilities; she can find out who the father of this baby is just by touching and smelling the scent of the fetus that I am carrying. Almaera can smell the blood of Ivyari descendants, even the unborn.

"The unborn baby is not a descendant of the Ivyari family nor Alarick's baby!" Almaera exclaimed.

"This omega girl is lying."

Almaera's shrill voice made my heart feel like it was going to burst. What! What did she say? Why would she tell such a lie? This baby is Alarick's baby!

"Liar! You are a liar, wild bitch! How can you accuse our Prince Alpha of blaspheming and impregnating you."

"Punish her! Punish that bitch!"

The boisterous voices of the pack members now gathered in the courtroom echoed throughout the room, and it was hitting my sanity.

"I'm not lying! I am so sure this baby is Alarick's!" I yelled as loudly as I could. The sudden shock made my stomach turn, and my legs felt weak. I was unable to look anyone in the eye. My body trembled because the rage had filled my heart and exploded inside my chest like a tsunami crashing on the shore.

"What?! You still have no shame in accusing my son of getting you pregnant?!" Lourve Ivyari, Alaric's mother, a Luna on Redmoon Guardian pack, stood up and stared at me hatefully.

"I'm not lying. He did get me pregnant. And the baby I am carrying is his. We have had a secret relationship. Without your knowledge, Mrs. Ivyari." As I said that, I looked around the courtroom. I saw Alarick sitting at the very back of the bench, with his face downcast. He didn't dare to look at me at all. He hid his cowardly demeanor behind the power of his family.

The feeling of his betrayal was more agonizing than I could have ever imagined. When I was done speaking, my voice was barely audible above a whisper. My tongue tasted like metal from the tears in my eyes, and my throat was hoarse. But I wasn't done yet. Nothing could stop me from telling the truth.

"Not only that, Miss Ivyari. Your son has assured me he would make me his mate and the future Luna of the Redmoon Guardians pack!" I continued my words while swallowing the pain that kept hitting my heart.

"He's been planning everything for months! He even bought me a necklace as proof of his love." I show them a wolf-shaped chain.

"Liar!" Lourve Ivyari yelled at me. She was pointing her finger at my face angrily.

"I am not!" I emphasized aloud.

"My son can't possibly have a such low taste!" I saw her lips twitch slightly upwards.

I choked in despair, trying hard to convince everyone that what I was saying was true.

"Please ask your son Mrs. Ivyari. How often has he slept and had orgasms with this woman you look down upon?"

"Shut your mouth, Xevia!" Mrs. Ivyari snapped at me again.

I stood up from my place.

"I won't shut up. I'm telling the truth, and I am not lying! Your son and I had lovemaking, and the baby inside me is one hundred percent your grandson."

"Alarick! Tell your mom! Why are you keeping quiet?!" I shouted.

"Didn't you promise to fight for our baby and me? Why have you suddenly become amnesic about your promise?" I thrust my gaze at Alarick. The man who said he loved me so much was silent and did nothing to defend me.

"Omega Xevia! Mind your manners! Have you forgotten who you're talking to now?!" Almaera snapped at me harshly.

"She must have slept with many wolves."

"Cause you are whore, just like your mother!" Mrs. Ivyari chuckled. I was dumbfounded by what came out of Alarick's mother.

"Of course, all pack members will never forget the whore who has tarnished the good name of our pack," Almaera replied, grinning. She was beta, the one who should be wise. But why she attacked my late mom and me? Her behavior made no sense to me. My instincts were screaming that something was wrong, but my brain couldn't seem to process the thought, couldn't make the connection between my instinctive warning and my rational thoughts.

"Enough!" I once again screeched while holding back tears. No, of course, I wasn't crying because they insulted me. But it was heartbreaking because they humiliated my late mother.

"Are you satisfied with blaspheming my mother? What did she do wrong? Why do you have the heart to call my mother a whore, when the truth is that she was the victim of Mr. Bosco's abuse!" I finally found my voice and took my chance to speak without hesitation.

The rage I had inside me was consuming and burning like lava.

And there it was again, that feeling I had when my wolf took over. I suddenly couldn't breathe anymore, and my lungs refused to work properly. I was about to lose consciousness. The weight of several pairs of hands landed on my shoulders, pulling me back to the judgment seat.

I heard Mrs. Ivyari yelling in frustration. I couldn't listen to what she said. I could only focus on breathing in and out to avoid nausea. This must be because my morning sickness was striking back again.

"This omega girl is crazy! Please don't listen to her! She should be taken to the Asylum for exile!" shouted one of the sons of Beta Bosco.

I turned my head and stared angrily at Alarick. He knew how much this relationship meant for me to discover he was my mate before everyone else. But he was only standing there doing nothing when I suffered so much because of him. I clenched my teeth and fought the urge to tear his throat out and let go of all the truth.

"Banish her! Don't let her sin jinx our Pack!" All those present in the courtroom shouted boisterously at the same time.

The image of the man who closely resembled the photo of Xevia's late father disappeared after saying those words. It was a message about Xevia having to take care of herself because the mission she was on was not an easy one. The mission required her to kill someone. A good person who would be able to do something for their country even if it wasn't in the way they had imagined it to be at that time. She didn’t think anyone had expected her to succeed so soon. But, as a member of the Special Task Force and the commander of the second team, she was supposed to have more resources than anyone else present. Her abilities were already remarkable enough to make people look up to her, and when she took on this mission without being fully briefed… it made them realize how much of a problem she really was. She hadn't wanted to come back. Not until she had seen what the world had become. But now, she was here, in the middle of the enemy. And she was going to go through with this. She coul

Xevia ran through the dark forest, trying to avoid the pursuing old wolf behind her. Her bare feet made no sound on the damp mossy ground, but she knew that the big wolf was gaining steadily on her with every step she took. She’d been running since the sun went down; all of yesterday. The woods around them were thick and dense, a place that could hide anything. Even though it was dark now, she could still see the huge tree trunks in every direction, some almost twice as tall as a human being. Their branches spread out overhead, blocking off everything else and offering shelter from the cold autumn night wind. They were also too far away for her to make any noise, but still close enough that if Xevia stopped. After feeling a little safe, Xevia transformed herself into a wolf so that she could defeat the old alpha behind her. In her conscious state, she could feel how her body turned into a wolf with a tail of fire. With the animalistic strength born of pure instinct, she slashed at the

A beautiful full moon night. Xevia and the old alpha stood at the edge of the ravine looking up at the sky. "Soon it will be time..." said the old man.At exactly midnight, Xevia would transform into a wolf. It had been a week now that she'd learned to control her transformations. "Yes." She agreed. The old man was one of the few who knew that she'd become this way before... when her father had left. She had been raised by a kind beta woman, but the old man had insisted on taking care of her. He didn't know the truth about her origins though. He couldn't understand what the pack did. And he never would, until he saw it with his own eyes. The old man looked at her carefully as if trying to judge whether or not he could trust her. His golden eyes were warm, even through the dark. He was an older male werewolf of average height with white hair and wrinkles around his eyes and mouth. He was wearing some sort of military uniform. He smiled softly, "You're ready then, are you?" he aske

Today, a gloomy day, the sky is filled with clouds and the wind is blowing hard. The sun has hidden itself behind the thick cover of gray that covers the whole earth, making it as dark as night and as quiet as the grave. It’s not unusual, the world is changing fast and the weather will get worse soon, but it's still gloomy and she know why it is that it is so dark out now, it's raining. She can feel it too when she look at the grey sky and even though it is raining hard. The old alpha, who did not want to give his name, asked Xevia to follow him. "Sir, where are you taking me?"The old man crossed his index finger in front of his lips to signal Xevia to be quiet. He stopped walking then looked around for some time before he turned to face her again. "Follow," he replied softly and walked away from where they were standing just moments ago. She had no choice but to follow, though it felt like an invisible force held her back. But when Xeveia opened her mouth to ask what is going on s

Xevia looked at the old man whom Alisha called grandfather while paying close attention."Who are you? And how did you find this remote place?" The old man frowned in astonishment. The place where he lived was not a place easily accessible to ordinary people. And it could not be found by humans. So it was certain that only the descendants of lycans and wolves could find this place."I-"Xevia walked up to the old man."I am the daughter of Lorenzo Farkass." She replied in a calm tone. Then she looked down at her hands for a moment before looking back up again and smiling warmly at him."My name is Xevia. It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance."The old man stared at Xevia with wide eyes for a moment before his expression shifted into that of an amused smile."Lorenzo Farkass did you say? You must be joking!""Do you know my father?" Xevia said curiously."Yes. I knew your dad. He was a very talented man." The old man nodded. "But, I didn't know that he had a daughter?""It's a l
