Chapter 20

Aaron's POV

The auction finally ended at about eleven thirty PM and by the time it was finally time for the gala proper, hundreds of art pieces which were worth hundreds of thousand dollars. The proceedings from the auction was supposed to be used to fund a specialized school for disabled children somewhere in the suburbs and that was the only reason why I even bothered to bid on anything. I hated art or rather, I didn't care much for it other than the aesthetic value to tended to provide.

Jasmine also seemed to share a similar view and as far as my knowledge went about her, she didn't know jack about art, but she still ended up coughing up quite a lot of money and I needed no prophecy to tell me that the reason she did it was because she felt bad for those kids and she wanted to help them in any way she possibly could.

My Jasmine was kindhearted like that. Her heart was pure and that was only one of the reasons I found her so attractive.
