NIGHT (Around 8pm)

In front of the house, Shin Hye stood facing Jay. Jay looked sorry and his tone sounded like one when he called out her name.

"Shin Hye"

But Shin Hye didn't care. She was angry.

"Why did you call me out?' Shin Hye asked, glaring at Jay. She was still angry about that time.

They planned on having dinner at her place, but he didn't show up and then, after that night, Jay started avoiding him.

In school, home, the guy avoided her. Even if their eyes met, he would ran off.

Why won't she be angry?

Jay was acting like a kid!

He was above that for christ sake!

"I'm really sorry I didn't show up for the dinner and sorry, I've been avoiding you in school as well"

Well, he better be.

"We haven't talked since that night"

And who's fault for it?!

"And.........." *Sigh, "This........I can't do this anymore Shin Hye"

What? What was he trying to say and why did it feel like she was getting rejected?

"I can't go on a day without seeing you or hearing your laughter. Without seeing your smile. It's been hard Shin Hye. Serious! I've been stalking you on F******k, i*******m, ticktock"

"I don't have a ticktock account"

"What am trying to say is,.........I can't live without you"

Oh,........She.....she was liking this. Shin Hye liked where this was heading.

"It's been.........."

"Shin Hye" Se Jong called out to her, interrupting Jay. Looking on their right side, they found Se Jong, looking at them.

What the.......

Why was he back?

"Why are you here?" Shin Hye asked, glaring at Se Jong.

It was getting to the good part and he ruined everything!

So annoying.

"I didn't know you kick me out of the house" Se Jong said as he walked towards them.

He......he didn't hear a word Jay said to Shin Hye.

"Who's this?" He asked, when he came to a stop beside them, looking at Jay, suspicious of him.

Ah! His confession.......his confession was ruined.

Jay thought as he ran his hand through his short red hair.

This was definitely the price to pay for waiting for so long.

"Are you okay Chae Joon? If you can't we just stop here"  Hae Jin said, thinking about Chae Joon.

He was in a pretty bad state.

He was crying!

"I'm fine" Chae Joon said as he wiped his tears, sniffing.

Ah, he, was not fine.

"One day, I got fed up of her, of the way she was treating Jin. I......I mastered the courage, confronted my mother but then,.......I messed up. My mom got angry and blame Jin. Saying he was bad influence.............. That was the first time, Jin told me not to interfere and that I should be in good terms with my mother. He.....he said that with a smile. That idiot!" 

Ah, those tears........he hated it. 

But then,.......he believe there was nothing he could do.

And since Chae Joon didn't want to stop,......... he'll just ask this burning question.

"Did his father find out?"

"He did. I told him. And do you know what he said?, 'Leave it, your mother knows what she's doing. She's raising you both to be good' what you believe him?!" Chae Joon said angrily.

"Wow" Guess, the father wasn't helping either. Jin......he went through a lot.

"Third year in high school, I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't like the way my mother treated my brother so I decided to moved out. I didn't want to leave without him. I asked him to move in with me but then, he already had plans. Jin moved out with his friends. They bought a house and moved in together. His father........for some reason he didn't object and even gave him money to move out"

Well, father did one thing right.

"Even thought we stayed far from each other, we still made time for each other. We met, talked, laugh......he still felt the same way about me Hae Jin. He never hated me and he always told me how much he loved me but I never said it. Not even once" Chae Joon said through tears and Hae Jin, he felt helpless. 

"I........I was in college when I got a call that he died. He traveled and on the day he came back, he died. That day..... that day was also his birthday. He called me when he got out of the airport. He said we're all celebrate together. Celebrate his return and birthday all together. And now, is both his birthday and death anniversary"

"I'm sorry Chae Joon" Hae Jin said, watching Chae Joon cry as he spoke,

"I just.....I just want to meet him once, apologize and tell him how much he means to me. How much I love him. I never thought he'll leave first. I never thought he'll die so soon. I never told him how much I love him because I thought he'll get tired of hearing it. I never got tired of hearing! He never got tired of saying it! And I...........I........ I" Chae Joon said through tears and without thinking, Hae Jin rushed to him and hugged him.

Caressing his back in a comforting way, Hae Jin said, "Shhhh, is okay. Is okay"

"He left without me. He didn't even say goodbye. And is all my fault"

"Is okay"

Hae Jin said, feeling sorry for Chae Joon. Hugging him tight, he felt Chae Joon hug him back and he smiled, caressing his back gently.

And this was the very sight Se Jong saw when he came into the living room, but then, he was so shocked, so hurt that he didn't realize Chae Joon was crying.

And that they were hugging because Chae Joon needed comfort.

Hurt, angry, jealous, Se Jong turned and quietly left for his room, thinking,

Chae Joon said he didn't love Hae Jin that way. So.... what the heck did he just witness!!!

Some time later,

"Are you okay now?" Hae Jin asked. Pulling away from Hae Jin, Chae Joon wiped his tears, sniffing before saying,

"I'm fine"

Was he really? Of course not but Hae Jin........he couldn't help himself!

He just had to ask this burning question!!

"Are you in this world because of your unfinished business with your brother? I thought it only happens when the person you have an unfinished business with is human" Sung Yoon told him (Hae Jin)

"You know about that?" Chae Joon asked.

"Yes"

"You're right. I'm stuck in this world because of the second reason"

Hold on, the second reason?

"And, I don't know why I get to stay here in this world even though my unfinished business have nothing to do with a human"

No, wait! He said second reason!

"I thought the second reason............souls who died when it wasn't their time, that's the second reason, right?"

It was, right!

................Hold on a second,............

Come to think of it........

Sung Yoon did say something about them not being in order.

She messed them up!!!

That girl!!

"Tell me more"

"Sure" Chae Joon said with a smile.

That Sung Yoon........she was going to get it from him!!!
