Chapter 34: Rain

Afternoon, after class.

Raien watched the students running while holding their umbrellas high as the heavy rain poured down from the sky that suddenly turned cloudy and gray. The wind is so cold and feels damp which gives people an uncomfortable feeling. Raine stood there at the entrance of the building as the students who didn't have umbrellas ran past him.

“Hurry! Hurry!” Raine heard them yell at each other as they ran together with their jackets above their heads. Either their family drivers are late, or they just think that running under the rain looks fun.

Such worry-free lads and lasses… so good to be young. Raine thought, as if he himself is not young. But, with what he has experienced, it is no surprise for him to act like an adult, as his mind has already matured when he was still in the Riverside District. Not to mention that he was forced to mature after he lost his mother… he also bore the responsibility in the Riverside High School, his former high school, to reform it so
