Awakening feelings
The entire ride was filled with silence since Carmen was too exhausted to chitchat, and Dax couldn't find the right words to say to her.
Once they arrived at the Davis company, both of them felt relieved the moment they were out of the vehicle.
The cold morning breeze gently blew against Dax’s face, causing him to slowly roll his wet tongue against his lips.
He then faintly smiled at Carmen when he caught her staring at him, and in that instant, her sight rested on his moist lips which made her heart miss a beat for a second.
The feeling that moment gave Carmen made her to immediately stared away from Dax as she gently pinched onto her skirt to distract herself from the image that resided in her head.
“Are you ready to head in?” Dax asked.
Upon hearing his voice, Carmen shut her eyes as she took in a deep breath for a second to get herself under control. Then when her eyelids opened, she immediately walked past Dax and headed into the building.

The week went by naturally, and the first light of dawn met Carmen and Liam in bed on Sunday.She spent the entire night buried in his arms, and now that morning had arrived, Carmen's worries were running about in her head the moment she opened her eyes.She hoped that this day wouldn't come.
