Alpha Bladen’s POV

“Bladen!” Mia’s voice called in the distress.

“Mia? Mia!” I called out to her.

She sounded like she was in trouble and although I had somewhere important I needed to be, I couldn’t leave her like that to fend for herself.

“Bladen, no, what about the pack?” Viana asked, halting me in my tracks.

I paused, turning my gaze to Viana.

I tried reasoning Viana’s words but everything within me said otherwise.

“Bladen!” Mia’s voice echoed again with a scream and before I knew it, my wolf had taken over, running towards the direction of the sound.

“Mia, where are you?”

I searched the entirety of the forest but couldn’t found her. Where could she possibly be?

And then I heard it once more, her screams followed by painful sobs. I followed the sound to it’s source but found nothing, she was no where to be found.

“Bladen!” I turned to the source of the sound making my way to what looked like Mia’s silhouette.

I withdrew my claws making calculated steps towards the figure that was

  • Heal My Wolf   Chapter 19-Road to Sablethorn

Mia Heather POVThe road stretched long and quiet beneath the dim morning lights with the hum of the bikes vibrating through my bones. I sat behind Loren, my hands gripping his sides tightly as the wind brushed through my hair.Trees blurred by, the sounds of birds singing morning praises barely made it through my ears as we sped through the open road of the forest.Three hours in, fatigue began settling into my body, the burn on my forearm throbbing under the pressure of the cool air. I tried not to think about the following days, about the academy, the wolves who’d judge me, the training I wasn’t prepared for.Instead, I focused on the two wolves guiding me, Loren in front of me and Zeke leading us at a steady pace. When Zeke lifted a hand signaling that we stop, I didn’t realize how relieved I was until the bike rolled to a halt. We’d arrived at a small pack settlement tucked along the border between three Northern territories. The place was quiet, warm, and smelled faintly of pine

  • Heal My Wolf   Chapter 18-Breaking trade

Alpha Bladen's POVThe sun had barely begun its slow descent when we left Bloodmoon. The afternoon sprung with a life I barely got the opportunity to see.The air was thick with the remnants of last night. The heat and instinct with the kind of fragile calm that sat between two people unsure of what they were becoming.Viana sat across from me in the carriage, her posture straight, her gaze trained out the window but every now and then, she stole a glance at me and each time our eyes met, a quiet memory flickered between us.A soft touch, a whisper, a surrender neither of us had prepared for, yet, it did little to get Mia off my mind and even less to stop the agony my wolf faced every now and then. An agony I hoped to mask throughout this journey.Fadrian, our Delta, noticed it too. He said nothing, but the silence he carried was unnaturally careful. Before leaving, I left Anderson in charge of the pack and gifted Fadrian the opportunity to pose as our escort on this journey.By the t

  • Heal My Wolf   Chapter 17-Marked and ours

Loren’s POVThe days after Mia’s initiation passed in a steady, quiet rhythm, it was steady for everyone else, at least. For me, it was a blur of responsibility, nerves I’d never admit to, and a strange new warmth that hadn’t existed in my chest before she arrived.Mia healed slowly, the burn on her forearm darkening into a firm, proud mark. She touched it often, sometimes absentmindedly, sometimes with quiet reverence and every time she did, I’d look away before she noticed me watching and I was watching... Way too much.Zeke would chew me out if he realized how obvious it was.On the third morning after her initiation, I brought her to what would soon be her new home. The old healer’s place. It stood on the edge of the pack grounds, wrapped in ivy and dandelions, the kind of house that looked like it carried secrets in the cracks of its windows. I’d always found the place eerie as a kid, but Mia? She looked at it like someone staring at the sunrise for the first time. Her eyes softe

  • Heal My Wolf   Chapter 16-The mark of fire

Mia Heather POVThe bonfire roared high into the night sky, taller and wilder than the one from last night. Sparks spiraled upward like frantic fireflies, scattering into the dark as wolves crowded in a wide circle around the flames.Drums beat steadily, slow and foreboding as each thud echoed in my chest like a second heartbeat.Tonight wasn’t like the other gatherings.Tonight was for me.I stood beside Loren, fingers curled nervously at my sides as Zeke stepped into the center of the clearing. His arm had been wrapped in white cloth after Viper’s attack, but the injury didn’t dim the power in his presence. The crowd went silent at once.“Mia Heather,” Zeke called, his voice cutting through the air like a blade.I swallowed and stepped forward.Dozens of eyes watched me. Some with curiosity, some with approval, and a few, gave off hints of disgust. I tried not to think about Viper’s scream earlier, the way Zeke's foot had pressed between his shoulder blades.Even injured, he radiate

  • Heal My Wolf   Chapter 15-The tender break

Alpha Bladen POVThe night was cold and filled with whispers by the wind as it brushed through the forest, humming a tone only the goddess could understand.I stared through the window, claws out as my heartbeat quickened with every passing wind and falling star.I pondered on my decision to visit the north, on the details of the illness and occasionally on Mia; how she could be doing wherever she was, as whomever she had chosen to become.A part of me yearned for a time where I could at least get to see her again while a bigger part of me just wanted her as well as my feelings for her gone. The curse was doing more damage to me than I had bargained for, a punishment for a choice I was forced to take.I sighed, trying to control my breathing. My lung stung, my head ached and my wolf fought so hard to get out. Ever since the curse, night time was my greatest fear with daytime being my strongest ally."You need to relax," Viana said softly from beside me. I turned to her in surprise. Wh

  • Heal My Wolf   Chapter 14-Chains of duty

Alpha Bladen POVThat night, I heard her.Her voice rose into the sky, a howl not burdened by pain or longing, but bright with freedom and joy.For a moment, I couldn’t breathe. I was frozen in place and my wolf reacted instinctively to such a memory as my chest tightened. She was happy and the cruel irony was that her joy felt like a wound spreading across my ribs.Did she truly not know? This marriage wasn’t my choice, it was a duty shoved onto my shoulders the moment I turned eighteen. A political knot meant to keep the peace between two territories.Could I have fought harder against my parents? Maybe... But an Alpha’s son doesn’t get the luxury of rebellion. Not when entire borders depend on your compliance.Still… I should have told her. I shouldn't have convinced Mia into thinking we had a future together without keeping to my words.Fadrian's stick hit my elbow, sending a sharp sting up my arm.I was instantly brought back to the events unfolding before me and before the next
