Chapter Twelve- Training Begins

I liked Kat right off the bat. I hope the two of us can become friends. I watched as she gave instructions for our warmups including a three-mile run as well as push-ups and jumping jacks. I had not realized how out of shape I was, yet I was determined to give my best.

Kat seemed pleased I was able to keep up and smiled as I ran passed her.

“You are doing great, Luna.” She said as I was on the last mile around the track.

I was actually surprised I wasn’t the last one. I was the fifth out of twenty beginners. After we were finished, Kat walked up to me. “Luna, you are catching on fast. I can tell you are going to surpass a few in this class.”

I smiled, “Really? And please call me Megan.”

She laughed, “Alright, Megan, and yes really.” She says patting my shoulder as she walked inside the circle we created.

“Alright now. I am going to demonstrate a few basic maneuvers that I want you to team up in twos and try. Luna? I would like you teamed with me.”

I nod and walked to stand next
