Liam Brandon held his phone to his ear, waiting impatiently for Mandy to pick up his call, as he uses the other hand to regulate the steering.
He had been endeavoring to reach his daughter from the moment he had left his office, but she wouldn't pick up. He didn't seem to be affected by it, he of all people knew his daughter very well.
Now that he was calling Mandy, he just wanted to be sure whether Daniella was with her or not because he'd gone to their house, but couldn't find her at home.
Soon, the phone got disconnected and without a moment's hesitation, he redialed Mandy's number.
Mandy stared at her ringing phone in Daniella's hand, she had caught her unaware and grabbed the phone from her, not allowing her to pick up the call.
“No matter what Uncle Liam might have done wrong, Ella, please put it aside for now and pick the call,” said Mandy persuasively to her friend.
Daniella looked over at Mandy's face, which was holding an apologetic expression.
Directly, she shook her head resolutely, decline the call, then stood up from the bed.
“Come on, Mandy, let's get ready,” she notified, pacing across the ceramic tile floor toward Mandy's closet.
Mandy sucked in a deep breath, without being told, she could effortlessly comprehend why her friend had suddenly become so cold toward her dad.
However, she couldn't help but think in her mind, who could the girl be this time around? The last time Mandy checked, almost everyone in the school knew that Daniella didn't appreciate any lady close to her dad.
Drawing a long breath, Mandy shook her head helplessly as she got off the bed. She wouldn't blame those ladies, would she? Any lady with clear eyes would definitely flirt with Liam Brandon.
He was just too hot and if she were not Daniella's best friend, even she would have begged earnestly Liam to fuck her without mercy.
“Come here now, babe,” Daniella called out.
Mandy quickly put on a big smile as she strode fast to where Daniella was standing. She thought in her mind that if by chance Daniella heard her nasty thought towards her hottie dad, then she wouldn't hesitate to slaughter her right here.
*
Mandy gazed at Daniella as she gulped down another shot of alcohol. She was fraught with worry, she knew something was bothering Daniella, and she knew for sure it was related to her dad.
Again, Daniella poured the liquor into a glass, but before she could carry it, Mandy reached out her hand and held hers, confining her movement.
“Enough of the drink, Ella” she scolded in a stern voice, glaring at her red face.
Daniella gave a few loud hiccups as she withdrew her gaze from Mandy's face, she had thought the liquor would help her block her thoughts about her dad, but it didn't, instead, the image of her dad and Grace being together in his office and doing all things kept lurching in her head. Her heart hurt a lot at her intuition.
Surrendering to Mandy's order, her gaze fell to the dance floor, and she immediately got to her feet, stumbling to the front.
She began to dance crazily, enjoying the beat that was blaring from the speaker. Soon after, she felt a gigantic palm grasp her tiny waist from the back.
“Hello, pretty” the voice murmured huskily into her ear, pulling her into his chest until her butt was resting against his torso.
Also, his breath passed through the hair around Daniella's ear, it seemed he was flirting with her.
Daniella rocked her butt against his shaft, following the beat of the pop. A trace of a grin was touching her lips, it occurred that she was enjoying it.
The person let out a muffled groan, shutting his eyes and raising his head to the ceiling as his hands were holding Daniella's slender waist, liking what she was doing to him.
Slowly, one of his hands cruised all the way down to her waist along her spine.
“Let's talk privately” He whispered again.
“I'm not interested” Daniella declined directly, too lazy to even peek at this strange man's face.
“Just a talk. Please” This time, Daniella stopped dancing and slowly turned around to meet the pair of handsome eyes that beamed towards her.
His eyes were tender, and his masculine jaw had the most perfect contours.
A deep frown etched on her forehead, she admitted that this unfamiliar was handsome, but he wasn't as handsome and hot as her dad.
Thinking of her dad again, she quickly agreed to his request and muttered.
“Okay”
'I just want to stop thinking about him, is it too much to ask?' she thought to herself inwardly.
In a matter of moments, they were found in a room. The room was large and a bit dull with its warm yellow light.Daniella watched as he bolted the door, and then she scoffed with rolled eyes before moving some steps toward the bed and sat on it.
“So, what is it that you want to talk about that evokes you to bolt the door?” she asked dryly, staring at the man who was now towering above her.
His lips twisted into an evil smile as he took off his clothes, “It's our privacy, don't you think?”
The corner of her eyes crinkled as she narrowed her eyes a bit, “Is this what you're up to?” her tone was full of aggression, rising to her feet.
This man didn't respond, instead, he took off his clothes completely and tossed them somewhere out of sight.
Daniella's eyes jutted out at the rate of how bulged his manhood was inside his brief.
Seeing her terrific look, he smiled, moving closer to her, “You see what you've caused with just a twerk”
Daniella hardly gulped, an indescribable trace of fear flashed through her heart. She almost instinctively wanted to get away from him, but just as she tried to react, he grabbed her hands and trapped them firmly with just using twenty percent of his strength.
“You bastard…” before she could finish speaking, he held her and kissed her lips, all her words were blocked deep in her throat.
She struggled to break free, but her strength was nothing compared to his.
Taking note of how else to break out, she kicked him very hard in his groin and ran off toward the door, just before reaching the door, she felt a strong hand pull her and carried her in his arms.
“Let me go now, please” she cried out, her heart heaving up and down apprehensively.
“Not so soon, pretty” he murmured, taking her lips for another kiss and lowering her to the bed.
With all the strength available in her, she pushed him away and screamed, “Daddy!!”
Glancing at his wristwatch from time to time, Liam rubbed his forehead, waiting impatiently for Daniella's arrival. From where he was standing, he gazed at the covered dishes on the dining table and then sighed loudly.
“Where are you, Ella?”
Right after he muttered these words to himself, his cellphone buzzes inside his trouser pocket.
Retrieving the phone, he was filled with a sense of relief to see that it was his daughter calling but after picking up the call and listening to Mandy's soft whimpers over the phone, he felt his heart leap into his throat as he was suddenly fraught with concern.
“Uncle Liam, I can't find Ella”
His face pulled extremely long in the cold and gloomy air while he felt as if his heart was breaking into a million pieces inside her chest, and It was never going to be a whole again.
Mandy continued, when he didn't hear him say anything, “She was dancing with a guy some moment ago and all of a sudden, all of a sudden…”
At this point, his face, and his temple were tightened into a line and the veins around his forehead and neck keep jumping out.
“Where are you?”
Jumping from foot to foot outside the building, Mandy awaits Liam's appearance impatiently, with her eyes swimming with tears. She couldn't help but blame herself for everything.
Honk! Honk!
The full headlight loomed at Mandy's figure. Briskly, she trotted toward the car at the same time Liam got off the car.
“I'm so sorry, Uncle Liam, it's all my fault” she apologized, more tears gushing from her eyes.
“Those can wait, Mandy. Now, let's go” he exhorted sharply, striding forward in a hurry with Mandy in tow.
Passing by a few people outside the front yard, to the door villa. Liam opened the door and was welcomed with all sorts of odors mixed together.
The place was already screwed up, some people could be seen smooching their selves in the presence of all, while some were dancing and chattering merrily.
Liam passed by them, aiming for the stairs.
Soon, he was standing in the middle of the hallway, looking from right to left.
“I'll go this way,” Mandy notified and scampered away at once.
Liam began to open the door one after the other, calling out his daughter's name.
He got to a door and reached out to open it, but it soon occurred to him that the door had been locked from the inside.
Thumping on the door heavily, “Ella, are you inside?" he strained his ear before he could heed the soft cries that were coming from inside.
He was immediately brimmed with uneasiness and without a moment's hesitation, he sent a rough kick to the door and the wooden door torn apart instantly.
Seeing a nude man lying beside her daughter, who was weeping profusely but jumped out of the bed and ran into her dad's chest as soon as he appeared.
Liam hugged Daniella as she continued to weep in his chest. He was now looking quite horrible, the look he was shooting at the man on the bed was one of a hunter sizing up their prey.
FIVE YEARS LATERRight in front of a lengthy portrait of a wedded couple that had their best smiles on their faces, there stood an almost old man— gazing at the beautiful married couple with tears running down his face. The tears were a mix of boundless joy and grievance. And this especially happens whenever he watches the big picture like he was doing at the moment.“Oh, there you are,” a soft smiling feminine voice drifted to the man and followed by footsteps fast approaching. He already knew who the person was even without turning around. “Beautiful couple, huh?” the woman sidled up to him, her eyes overly bright when staring at the picture too. “I still can't forgive myself, Jessica,” he suddenly let out, breaking the brief silence that took place and turning his head to peek at the stunning woman beside him. “Whenever I look at Daniella’s wedding picture, Jessica, I feel like I don't deserve to be forgiven for my outrageous crime in the first place and I should have died alo
Daniella sprinted into the terminal in a way that people around thought that she was being chased by something they couldn't see but only she could see.She kept darting her eyes around as she ran, not paying heed to the security man running after her advice to slow down. “Ouch!” she suddenly yelped out, bending in two and holding her right leg. She'd just tripped on her foot. “The reason I urged you to stop running, Miss,” the security guard enunciated, catching up with her and holding her to steady herself. Daniella spared him a grateful look and started walking lamely, holding the man’s hand tightly for support.Soon, they got to the airline front desk where two beautiful women sat behind, greeting passengers and checking tickets. The security guard stepped forward and asked, “Has the Spain flight taken off?” “Yes. It just took off five minutes ago,” one of the women answered eloquently and returned to her business. It felt like a stab in Daniella’s heart and if the security
The following day after the morning lecture, Mandy’s arm was linked into Daniella’s as they both sauntered out of the hall. “I called Matthew yesterday. He said he's out of the country, Ella, and it’s most likely he won't be returning anytime soon,” Mandy uttered, looking as sadly as she felt.Daniealla only puffed out a breath and said nothing. Maybe it was for the best. “Have you heard that Mr. Brandon resigned yesterday?” These words wafted toward Daniella and Mandy and they both stopped walking directly and then spun to see who'd just spoken. There they stood two ladies, facing each other and seemed really engrossed in their discussion.“Which Mr. Brandon? You mean the same Liam Brandon? The most handsome per-time lecturer in our school?” the other girl asked her gossiping ally, her eyes bulging outwards with shock.“Of course, Priscilla. The same Mr. Brandon who has a daughter here in our college. Don't tell me you haven't heard of it when the news has been spreading around t
“That was how it all happened,” Jessica concluded and wiped the tears slipping down her face. “I’m really sorry, Daniella. Please forgive me,” Her emotions were raw as she sniffled and wiped away the tears that kept flowing down her face in a gush. “So, dad gave up on his love for me, Mom,” Daniella professed, remorse etched across her face. “He let go the primary reason he left the orphanage home to be with you because you claimed you didn't want to raise a child without a father. Yet, mom, you had the nerve to charge someone like that?” Her throat choked up, she had to stop talking and take a deep breath to get herself under control again. “I won't forgive you if he probably does anything stupid, mom. Trust me, I will hold you accountable if anything bad happens to him,” Daniella deadpanned, her tears breaking loose and streaking down her cheeks.“No, my dear. Nothing bad will happen to Liam,” Jessica reproached gently, inching closer and reaching out to hold Daniella’s hands
Jessica got to the hospital parking lot in no time—her eyes darting around as if she was searching for someone. She went farther into the garage, turning around and around and soon, she found who she was looking for and her temper aggravated immediately. She dashed toward the person’s car and called out his name from behind who was about to get in his car, “Antonio Flores,”Antonio looked back swiftly and a look of contentment flashed on his countenance as soon as he saw Jessica with the flowers.Infuriated, Jessica stormed three steps in his direction and hit him with the bouquet once and then let it go to the ground. “Are you mad? What do you think you're doing?” she squeezed the words out through angrily gritted teeth.Taken aback, Cole, Antonio’s assistant quickly veered to the other side of the car where his boss was and planned to interfere. But, a single movement of Antonio’s head ceased his action. He bowed in understanding and only crouched a bit and picked up the huge be
Michael sat at the extreme end of the bed with a sleeping Daniella while Mandy sat on a chair with her head resting on the space beside Daniella, holding her hand. She had long fallen asleep after Michael’s solacing words. Michael sat there, watching the two sleeping friends with pure affection plastered on his face. Shortly, he noticed that Daniella was starting to move slowly. Her long, thin eyelashes trembled for some time before she was able to slowly open them. “Ella,” Michael called out softly, rising to his feet, “You’re awake,” Daniella was gazing at the unfamiliar ceiling in a daze and her-sleep dazed eyes cleared when she heard Michael’s voice. “What are you doing here?” she asked in an extremely low voice and Michael wouldn't have heard her question if he'd not read her lips.Giggling, Micheal scratched the skin behind his neck, unsure of how to respond to her question. Daniella then tried to retract but she discovered that her hand was being held. She tilted her he
