Chapter 6

Dante’s POV

I had just started to sleep when I heard the faint voice in my head, at first I thought I should ignore it, nobody in the place would ever be able to use their minds to communicate with me and I definitely do not have any other person staying in the house with me, so it was not possible that I was hearing someone’s voice

I was not amongst werewolves who uses their powers to communicate, I was amongst humans, and I have chosen this place carefully because I knew they were all humans and I needed somewhere I could go without eyes on me and people knowing his business, so I thought I was probably imagining it , but then it came again , the voice echoing crazily in my head , " SAVE ME , SOMEONE SAVE ME" My wolf who has been asleep for so long woke up , tugging at me to attend to what I was feeling, and that pissed me up more than ever, my wolf is weak, I can feel it, it will take time before he adjusts to everything again, even though he has been ignoring me for so long, It felt good to have him back.

I knew I have to find the voice and do something about it, the faster the voice gets out of my head the faster I can get back to my business. I have coke here to relax, not here to safe anyone whatsoever, but since Bolt, my wolf was nudging me on, there was no way I can ignore him, so let get this over with.

I grabbed my shirt that I had dropped on the chair ‘s arm earlier to cover my upper body nakedness with my already worn pants and dashed out of the house, I have to trace where the voice was coming from first of all, then I will know where to go from there. I was trying not minding what It could be, but I know if Bolt was feeling something weird, then I have to find out what it is.

It didn't take long for me to find out where the voice was coming from, it was my neighbor ‘s house. The one with the sassy old woman, of course I have seen the was she was looking at me from her window, there was no way that would have passed my attention, I noticed it but I had just decided to ignore her, It would do me no good to feed the old woman ‘s curiosity.

The door was not locked but I noticed that there was not electricity in the house and that seem weird, I could sense there were people in the house, nothing wondering further, I made my way to the front door. That's when I felt it, the strange scent, an intruder was in her house.

Ava ‘s POV

"Get the heck away from me , you scum! " I shouted at him, kicking and biting, I thought I that would help, that was the only weapon I have to protect myself, at least he was focusing on me not my grandmother. But my kicking and biting was not getting anywhere ,the intruder was stronger than I am.

He suddenly decided to put his body weight on me, just laying there on me, like he was some type of psycho, seems that there was nothing I could do, he was too heavy.

"Just stay calm, i will soon be done. Everthing will be over before you know it , just close your eyes and i will be done” The intuder spat , trying to get rid of the towel on my body. I stopped trying to get his heaviness away from her body now , instead I transferred all my effort on keeping my towel on her body but it was getting difficult every minute.

" oh damn save me please , what the heck! " I pleaded again , to her mind , to her self , asking for strength, to get through the ordeal.

"Don 't be this stubborn girl, i am sure you have been wanting to show your body to me since you came down here, if not , why would you come down with only the towel on your body? You little bvtch !" His breath sinking deep into her nostrils making me want to vomit my lungs out. Of course I didn't know the lunatic was in my building.

"LEAVE MY LITTLE GIRL ALONE" I heard my grandmother say, coming at us where the intruder laid on me, she must have found her strenght to stand up from where we had left her. She was carrying the piece of the same flower vase that had been thrown at her earlier.

But he was faster, he met her little strength with his own full strength, making her hit the hard floor, head first .

Everything had happened so fast , that I could have done absolutely nothing to help her, all I could do was to sit there in shock with my mouth opened and unable to talk. My tongue seems to have ceased, I could not bring myself to talk.

My grandmother was on the floor in front of me, and now I could see blood coming out of some place in her body, I tried to stand up, it was difficult, It felt like the shock and fear of something happening to my grandmother gripped me.

while I was trying to find my way up, the intruder turned to me, to continue what he had started

I don't know what happened next, nor could I explain it, I just saw the intruder's head was bent to one side, his lifeless body on the floor in front of me, and the very rude and crazily beautiful man that I had met on my way to Mrs. Nate this morning was there in front of me, breathing so normal that I thought the world stood still. His chest going up and down in a very smooth rhythm, With a deadly look on his face.

I looked from him to the intruder, and then back again.

What could he be doing there ? I thought to myself.

"You called me! You called unto me to save you and here i am, saving you" He said so confidently.

Without me thinking much of what he had just said, that was in no way making any sense to me, I tried to stand up, but it was not working, I fell back down.

"My grandmother" I said looking at him, stretching my hand to show him where my grandmother was, on the floor.

"How did you come here? " I asked again , as if I did not register what he had told me like a second ago.

And seeing that I was not in my right mind, he came to me and he tried to get me up.

"Let us see if there is something we can do for your grandmother first , we will talk about this later. You should pray that she does not have crazy injuries " he said as a matter of facty.

What was he talking about me calling out to him, I just know that no matter what he had just said was, I know our lives would never remain the same after this night.
