Elias POV:

My brows furrowed in worry, my heart drummed as I pondered on what she had asked me. She looked serious, so it wasn't like a joke, but I wanted to believe she didn't know what she was saying.

“What did you just say?” I asked with raised brows and stared at her with a worried look in my eyes. Then she suddenly frowned. Her expression confused me, but I tried to put one or two together until she finally spoke up.

“You heard me. Can you just stop with the pretense? It's sickening! You killed Lucas!” She yelled, tears forming in her eyes. Her body shook in fear, and her lips pressed as she tried to hold back her tears.

I was stunned but didn't get what she meant, so I took her hand in mine and pulled her into the house. She struggled underneath me, but I pressed her lips with my palm, her back against the door.

Her breath came out in pants, and she stared right into my eyes like she was searching for the truth.

“Stop struggling and tell me what the hell you think is going on, okay?”

I tried to get her to calm down before staring right into her eyes.

“You don't need to worry, okay? Just talk to me and I'll explain whatever you want to know.” I tried to make it easier for the both of us.

“How the hell did you kill Lucas!”

I blinked, not knowing what she talked about. “Lucas isn't dead. We spoke yesterday, and we were on good terms. What the hell are you talking about?”

I aggressively pushed his hands, breathing hard. I hated the fact that he was trying to deny whatever was going on.

“You better tell me the truth, or I'll go report to the police. You told me you were going to handle it. Why would you even think of killing him!”

I was taken aback. She screamed so hard that veins appeared on her forehead and neck.

“You don't need to think too much about this; all you need is simple. You just need to tell me the truth. Did you or did you not kill him?”

I shook my head. “I didn't. I talked to him yesterday, and he promised to actually let you be. Wait… did you think I would hurt him?”

She scoffed, breathing hard. “He's dead.”

I didn't want to believe what she was saying. Besides, I spoke to him, and he was fine.

“Well, now he's dead, and you're the only one I believe confronted him yesterday. Tell me the fucking truth, Elias. Did you kill him?”

“I didn't!” I finally snapped, my chest pacing. Why was she blaming me?

“I don't know the reason you should point fingers at me. I was trying to fix your mess, remember?”

She nodded. “Fix it. You were trying to fix it, not murder someone in cold blood. I heard he died, and I feel something inside of me that screams, You killed him.”

I sighed. “I promise you, I didn't kill him. I didn't even know he was dead. Believe me. I know we just met, but you don't think I'm a murderer, do you?”

Only then did she calm down. She stared at me with worry in her mind.

“I don't know if I can trust you. The police might come for you.”

I shook my head. “They will find no proof because I didn't do it.”

She exhaled. “I better hope you're telling the truth, because if you aren't, I might have to do what I feel I should…”

Silence again. I kept quiet for a few seconds and then pulled her close. I held her shoulders, staring into her eyes. “Listen to me, there's nothing you need to worry about. I need you to understand that things aren't the way you think they are. This might be someone trying to play a few tricks around—”

A knock sounded from the door.

She snapped her head towards the door, then back at me, but I furrowed my brows. I didn't usually have any visitors except her.

“Who's that?” She whispered, but I shrugged my shoulders, walking past her and towards the door. The moment. I opened the door, and I felt my eyes widen.

“Police…” The one in front raised his badge. “We would like you to come to the station. We have some questions for you.”

I turned my head towards Sienna, who was already staring at me. She had a lot on her mind, I could tell, but I smiled.

“Don't worry; it would only take a while, okay? I will be back in a few hours.”

She nodded, stepping back into the house and watching how the men handcuffed me. They pulled me close and dragged me away.

I watched how Sienna's face turned pale in horror as I was dragged out of the house; I hoped she was alright.

I arrived at the station and was taken to the interrogation room. It was dark with dim lighting, and an iron table and stool was the only furniture in the room. My hands were still handcuffed, and the interrogator paced around, his eyes staring at me with his chest puffed.“You killed Lucas.” He slammed his hands on the table in the room, but I didn't flinch.

“I'm not going to say a word until my lawyer arrives.”

“Well, there's no need to speak. We all know what's going on and what it is. Your lawyer can walk in here, but we have concrete evidence that you killed Mr. Lucas.”

I scoffed. “I didn't kill him, and the sooner you start to understand that I'm an honest professor, the better.”

He scoffed, giving a low, dark chuckle.

“You don't need to worry; I have all it takes to bring you down.”

I really didn't know what he was talking about, but I wasn't scared. I knew I didn't kill Lucas. I just wanted to know who was behind this and why.Who would frame me for killing Lucas?

Sienna's povI arrived the next day on campus but noticed something off. Only few student in school while others were practically not around. “What the hell is going on?” I pondered as I watched the few student that had strolled in stroll out. Just then, my eyes sighted Eden. She walked towards me as fast as she could, hands resting on my shoulder. “Oh Si, how are you doing?” she asked with raised brows and a worried expression on her face.“Fine, but something's off today. Why's everyone just…”She sighed shaking her head. Then she placed her hand on my shoulder. “You aren't going to believe what I found out.” I furrowed my brows, confusion forming on my face. “What did you find out?” Despite being confused and scared, curiousity was what took over my expression.“You might want to be able to sit for this one.”I nodded, moving towards where she gestured her hand before seating.“What is it girl, talk to me, I feel overwhelmed already. “You're acting like someone died.” “Well

EliasI knew she was no longer safe and was now a major target, but how? No one knew about our relationship. I had made sure of that. Even our engagement was made private to pull her away from the public eye.I watched as she turned pale, staring at me for a solution now when things were getting out of hand, but since she was mine, I promised to handle it.“You've got classes today?” I asked, staring at her. She seemed not to be with me and dragged her feet to a nearby couch before collapsing into it. “No, no, I don't.” She muttered, staring into space. I guess she was still shaken from what she found out. “Look, I already told you I would handle it; can you just trust me?” She snapped her head towards me, worried about the issue. “Do you know how worried I am? I can't seem to think straight. Prof. Lucas isn't someone to be messed with. He knows his ways.” I tilted my head, my eyes dark. Was she more scared of the professor than she trusted me?Tropical.“Fine. Give me one day to

I turned off my phone and immediately headed to bed, forcing myself to sleep.I woke up the next morning feeling tired. My eyes were heavy, and I snapped my head towards my door, frowning on my face.I pushed myself up, walking towards the door with a strong look on my face. However, as soon as I opened the door, my face turned pale. I didn't know what else to do. I tried to speak when he stepped into the room.“What are you doing here?” He didn't have a smile on his face and closed the door the moment he walked in. “I tried to call you, but your number suddenly went off. You didn't take my calls. Why?”I swallowed, stepping backward while he followed me, staring into my eyes like I owed him something. “I don't know what you're thinking, but we need to talk at my place.” I frowned, crossing my arms over my chest with a dark look in my eyes. “I don't think there's a

Sienna's POVI sprung up from my seat, my heart drumming hard. His eyes showed surprise, and then all of a sudden, his gaze darkened.“I'm sorry, professor. I don't know what you're talking about, and I can't stay here any longer.” He scoffed. “Nonsense,” his tone was sarcastic. “What do you mean you don't know what I'm talking about? Aren't you big enough to take me?”My nose wrinkled in disgust, but a wave of fear caused my blood to run cold. “I’m sorry, sir. I do not know what you're talking about, and I have to leave.” He scoffed. “You know exactly what I'm talking about, but since you claim not to, I'll explain it to you.” He took a sip of his champagne, placing the glass back on the table then he exhaled.“You can be my campus girlfriend. We could meet here on the weekends, and you get to take care of me. That's all. We could end up being good together, and you can pass my course even if you perhaps do not take my exams.” My jaw hung open, and I blinked a couple of times to

Sienna's povShivers ran down my spine the moment I saw that message and I tried to compose myself hoping that it was a place to meet and talk. “Maybe he doesn't want us to be seen in public places together. I tried to make numerous excuses for him. I didn't know what to do. My mind raced, my temperature warmed from the pressure I felt inside. However, no matter how hard I tried to make things seem positive for me I couldn't. The idea of meeting up with a lecturer filled me with dread because I knew how I met Elias. Despite not knowing he was a lecturer back then I still fell into his trap. I didn't want the same mistake. I exhaled but knew I had to go. I couldn't keep a professor waiting or ghost him. Especially with everything that went on in school. I took a deep breath and prepared my heart to meet with him. I grabbed my bag and my phone but I knew I couldn't go out by this time. Dad wouldn't also believe me if I told him I was going to Eden’s place again.“Damn it!" Frustr
