It was two weeks later when her case made it to a judge. The Taylor's had assured Simmons that they didn't want the case to go public, and wanted everything done behind the closed doors of their lawyer's office.
Last week Blair finally met Ian's dad, his mom told her to come for a family dinner. She hesitated and remained tensed until the end of dinner when he eases her up with some jokes and Ian rubbed her back, silently telling her that she was doing great.
Then when the day came she had both his mom and dad assuring Markov's lawyer, Albert Simmons that they wanted everything to speed up and finished quickly.
Albert agreed with them, the only thing that had prevent Blair's case from going national was another case that has been taking up the news, hogging up airtime, leaving the headline of a husband killer so mediocre.
"Ian, I don't know if I can do this if I can face his paren
"Albert said that his family will keep everything quiet. Your case will be fast-forwarded as self-defense and his lawyer had agreed."Ian kissed her cheek and rubbed her back affectionately as she lay by his side in his bed safely tucked at his house. He was satisfied with today's result."...and Albert said that you can get the house and his...""I don't want anything his, I just want to go back and see my mom." She said sitting straight and ask if she could go to her mom earlier tomorrow. He gives her a yes only if she sleeps early."You had a very long and tiring day baby, you should get some rest and let me take care of you.""Are you sure we're good staying at yours? I think I should get back to the hotel. Your captain, colleague...""The case is done, I've reported everything to my captain and honestly I felt you'll be safer here. We still got the Amulet and Shani is on ou
Ian and Blair arrived at her mom's house, it was situated outside the city area where the land was vast and people has horses at their properties. The house looked a bit run down, but you could actually see that it used to be a big beautiful house. Blair knocked on the door and an older woman opens the door for her.She recognized Blair and excused herself to do some housework in the back of the house.Blair called me to come closer and we let ourselves into her childhood house."Mom?"She greeted her mother who was sitting in front of the television. She was holding a book on her lap, then looked at Blair the moment she calls for her. But it only took seconds when her mom accused her with a low shaky voice as if she was withholding so much emotion inside her."Murderer...""Mom..." she stopped in front of her, she bit her lip and holding back her tears. Ian moved to her side with
"Ian, I'm staying here for a couple of days."She was in his arms within moments, the air was breezy and Blair just realized that she was missing the beautiful scenery surrounding her mother's house."Blair...are you sure?"Ian, I just talked to her nurse and she said her condition has been declining since my disappearance. I need to call her doctor and assess her condition, I don't know how I'm going to...""Give me her doctor's number, let me take care of everything for you." He caressed her cheek and kissed her softly."Ian..." she didn't like to owe anyone a favor, especially him who she had already depended too much on.But then she knows that there was no way she could afford her mother's medical at the moment not without a job and a husband."Blair, don't do this to yourself. Let me help you, I love you...people help their loved ones you know that, don
"Hey Taylor, are you with me?" Garcia called him out when he was not responding to her question. He had just ended his call with Blair and he was having a difficult time getting himself in the game and back to thinking about the case. His mind was thinking back to his girlfriend, he was wanting nothing but to be there for her. Though deep down he knows that she could make it, that she was strong. He sighed and finishes his coffee then look at Garcia, nodding back to her and telling her that he was thinking about the case. She looked at him with doubt but then was back to the pile of documents in front of her."I didn't realize being a detective will be more about combing through the paperwork. I thought we're looking for clues in the field.""Well we do, but in some cases, this is what we do and traffic cams are the worst. And we haven't even gone there, so what do you want for lunch? We'
Trying to keep herself strong, she called Ian for support only to be connected to his voice mail. She had a very bad feeling, but kept brushing it off and continue with the preparation for her mother's funeral. Until it was late at night and he hasn't returned any of her calls and texts. Then she took a deep breath as she was certain that there was surely something going on with him. And she just realized that she didn't even know how to reach him except his mobile. That was until she decided to call his precinct and miraculously she was connected to Dave by one of his officers."Hi Dave sorry to bother you this late, I was trying to contact Ian. I was...my mother passed away this morning and I...""Oh... Blair, my condolences. But I'm afraid I have more bad news for you. Ian was involved in a shooting this afternoon...""No..." she was suddenly teary, she thought that things were supposed to b
The next day Danny was back with Celia, they all had a big hearty breakfast."What? No fucking way? Emilie is going to flip when she finds out!""I assure you that that woman has been a baby factory the minute that Russian mob doctor has his eyes on her. Yeah we know about his bad mob thing, just don't tell dad. I think he still wants Max to look innocent and just be a very successful surgeon who flies with his private jets."She drinks her coffee while continuing with her words babbling on about the mob boss."...God I can't believe that my obnoxious brother-in-law saves your ass. You know...gosh...I can't believe that I have to thank him. His head is going to swell like a giant balloon."Danny shook his head laughing while Celia pouted at her own words. Blair still couldn't believe that she didn't know about Emilie's wedding. They used to keep in touch but everything's changed when she marrie
"Hey, have you found my phone? I really need to call Blair."Ian slowly got up, it has been a couple of days since he had been couped up in his house. He had cursed himself for not memorizing her number and stupidly not writing it down in case anything happened. He was still on bed rest and Garcia was kind enough to take care of him and take matters into her own hand. He was out most of the time from the pain meds. But when he was not, he kept asking her if they had found his phone.Garcia was taking a wild leap and tried to have him back. She felt that they had some chemistry in the past, and she knows she was much better than the husband killer. She still didn't know why he was attracted to her. But she hates that he seemed to like the woman better than her."I'm still asking around, but you know how these things happened. You probably forget where you put it since you're carrying two phones with you."He was not convinced with her e
Blair was sighing back to the couch. The room living room was dark and cold, as the curtain was still drawn. Celia had call minutes earlier inviting her for their dinner barbeque gathering. But Blair was not in the mood, she was still grieving for her mom. Their last trip to the city was her way of cementing back their friendship. But that day she needed to be alone, to mourn for the loss of her mother. That late afternoon she curled up in her mother's bed hugging her pillow and pulled up her mother's blanket and basked in her scent. But the nap didn't last very long. She was woken up by another dreadful dream. where she saw Gracia laughing and having a meal with a man. She couldn't see who it was because he was facing the other way. But her eyes were glued to his back knowing that she recognized the man. She woke up abruptly from her sleep seeing that it was Ian who was sitting with Garcia. She didn't fall back to sleep again. It has been like that for the past couple of days, a
