The faint pallor of her face. The tiredness hidden behind her calm expression. He had noticed changes over the past year- small things he hadn't thought much about at the time. How she sometimes paused halfway through sweeping the floor. How she sat down longer after finishing chores. How her steps had become slower in the evenings. He had simply accepted them as part of the quiet rhythm of life. Now they felt like warnings he had ignored. "Si quieres jubilarte, puedes hacerlo." he said calmly. Relief flickered across Daisy's face. (Translation: If you want to retire, you can.) "Estaba preocupada de que pudieras pensar que estaba abandonando mis deberes". She spoke delighted. (Translation: I was worried you might think I was abandoning my duties.) "No tengo prisioneros aquí." He said with no expression on his face. The faintest hint of humor touched her smile. (Translation: I don't keep prisoners here.) "No, no lo haces." she said softly. He closed the laptop. The click echoed

Dublin, Mexico. A month later... Night had already settled over the city, wrapping the skyline in deep shadows broken only by scattered lights from distant buildings and the faint glow of passing traffic below. From the upper floors of Zavier's penthouse, the world seemed far away- small, muted, almost irrelevant. Inside, the apartment carried its usual stillness. Zavier preferred it that way. The vast space of the penthouse was dimly lit, only a few recessed lights illuminating the sleek, modern interior. Glass walls overlooked the city, reflecting faint silhouettes of the furniture inside. Everything was precisely placed, untouched by clutter or unnecessary decoration. It was a space designed for control, not comfort. The comfort which he provided to Aria a month ago. It's been a whole month that she was gone and now his usual life was back on the track. A lots of work, with responsibilities, blood, gore and weapons. The walls of coldness around him again came up right after a

Behind her came Mikhail, tall even in his old age, his posture still rigid with the remnants of the disciplined life he had lived, still straight with the quiet authority of a man who had spent his life being listened to. His lips twitched slightly as he surveyed the gathering like a general assessing troops. "Why is everyone sitting outside like mourners at a funeral?" Rooh demanded immediately. "Because you weren't here yet." Emiliano replied calmly. Rooh rolled her eyes. "Flattery will not save you from my scolding later." Mikhail laughed quietly. "Ignore her. She has been complaining the entire drive about missing lunch." He said. "I complained because you insisted on stopping three times!" Rooh snapped. "You wanted pastries, lyubov." Mikhail reminded her. "That is irrelevant." She huffed out. Agustín watched them with faint amusement. Somehow, Rooh and Mikhail had managed to turn growing old together into a competitive sport. Before anyone could respond further,

Madrid, Spain. It's been two and a half years that has passed. More than two years of disappearance of Innara. Two years of fear and longing. In these years, time did not heal Agustín Fernandez- it has more disciplined him. In these two years he tried all the things in his power to bring Innara back but he felt something was wrong- something was terribly wrong which he wasn't able to notice. He felt there was an invisible power above him which was stopping him from reaching her. He knew, he fucking knew that something or precisely someone didn't want him to reach her and they were trying their best to make all his efforts futile and block his path that would take him to Innara. He was really concerned about her health as well as the baby's health. He didn't even know if the baby was fine or not. That she could make it alone or not. In what circumstance she gave birth to her baby. Although he knew she was strong enough to protect her baby from all the evil things around them bu

Daisy reached with Aria, out of their apartment building. As soon as Aria saw the familiar building, her eyes lit up. She remembered the park in which she used play and then the floor of her apartment. Daisy walked to the elevator with her and she obediently walked beside her. Daisy looked down at Aria, her eyes filled with pity and concern. She shouldn't have gone through all of it, at such a young age. Soon the elevator doors opened and they both stepped out together. The corridor outside Innara's apartment smelled faintly of disinfectant and old paint- too ordinary for a moment that felt like it might split the world open. Aria smiled as soon as she saw the door of her apartment. Daisy stood in front of the door, her hand hovering inches away from the bell. Aria clung to her leg, fingers curled tight into the fabric of her skirt, eyes wide and curious and tired all at once. She had fallen asleep in the car- in which Zavier ordered his men to take both of them to their home, wo

(Translation: She was not meant to be taken.) "No estaba destinada a ser llevada." She said. Aria tugged at Daisy's dress. (Translation: As if that makes it better. If not her, today Sophia would have been at her place.) "Grandma Daisy, don't be angry, He didn't hurt me." she said earnestly, defending him. Daisy looked down at her, heart shattering all over again. "No, sweetie, I'm not angry at you." she said softly. Her gaze lifted back to Zavier, sharp now despite the tears. "Pero su madre debe de estar muriendo." She said. Zavier's jaw tightened. Daisy stood fully, drawing herself up with a strength that surprised even her. (Translation: But her mother must be dying.) "En algún lugar hay una mujer que llevó a esta niña en su vientre, que la crió, que la arropaba en la cama todas las noches, y hoy cree que su hija se ha ido para siempre." she said, voice shaking with restrained emotion. Aria frowned, sensing the shift in mood. (Translation: There is a woman somewhe

Agustin's breath was ragged as he pushed through the thick curtain of smoke, coughing against the sting in his lungs. He couldn't see, even breath but the weight of guilt and saving two lives gnawing at him. Every step up the final staircase felt like dragging himself through hell, but his mind was

Finally Agustín reached the mansion and stopped the car right in front of the entrance. He stepped out, dressed sharply in dark slacks and a linen shirt, his injured shoulder now barely noticeable under the ease with which he moved. But his eyes were alert, always scanning — a habit formed from y

Madrid, Spain. Just after dawn, the private jet sliced through the soft Spanish sky, its engines humming low and steady. As the aircraft touched down on the secluded airstrip just outside the city, the world outside was still bathed in the golden hush of early morning. It looked so pleasing to th

New York, America. Two days later – the day of departure. The sky over New York was steel-grey, heavy with the promise of rain. A soft wind tangled the leaves on the pavement as luxury sedans waited quietly outside a discreet, high-walled safehouse tucked in the quieter part of the city. Inside,
