confused

I  found myself in a forest running at unimaginable speed.Running from something that I don't know of.no matter how fast i run i seem unable to outrun it. The faster i run, the closer it gets to me. I keep screaming for help but no one seems to be around.my breathing is ragged and my clothes soaked in sweat and dirts are all over me. Despite all that is happening the forest is strangely quiet. I mistakenly tripped and fall, twisting my ankle in the process. I can't get up,i begin to crawl but its too late as i hear a voice that seems to belongs to a ghost say to me:  "i am coming for you son of Hermes"

The next thing I see is a saw shaped sword with chains wrapped around it handle flying towards my head at unimaginable speed.It seems to split the sky as it vibrates the real essence of destruction.I close my eyes as i await death The saw shaped sword makes its way to my neck and as it was about to sever my head from from my body i jerked up, opening up my eyes to see myself in the tomb yard.I saw unidentified bodies lying on the floor. I walked up to the first body and turned the body over only to see my friend Austin with a ghastly bloody mark on his neck.frightened i stumbled up to the next body and the person turns out to be suzie.

" No! this can't be" i muttered to my self while feeling tears welling up my eyes.

I rushed to the next body and it turns out to be..." No mum it can't be, NOOOO!"...

I jerked up only to feel someone's hand on my chest  preventing me from getting up. i opened my eyes to see suzie with a worried look on her face...i was still breathing heavily with tears on my eyes.

" Its fine,calm down.it was just a bad dream okay?" She says trying to soothe me.

"Huuuuuu..." I breathe out deep trying to calm  my already ragging heart.I then looked around myself.i was in a room painted white.I saw other machines around that I can't readily identify.

"You're at the hospital" suzie says confirming my thoughts.

" How long have i been asleep" i asked

"Three days " she replied "Austin just went with your mom to get something just now.hes been here since you got admitted,he refused to go home.saying that hes the cause of what happened" she added."hmmmp,had it not been him not  listening to reason when I told him,all this wouldn't have happened" i said feeling pissed.

" Hes really sorry you Know.you should forgive him ok? She says trying to pacify my anger.

I remembered something that made me feel pissed the More " hey suzie, look am sorry I wasn't able to make it to the get together you invited me to.i would have been present if n..."

" Na come on its fine it wasn't you fault ok? Whereas the get together didn't hold again.i cancelled it when I heard you were at the hospital.,"

"Am so sorry about that"i said feeling really bad.

"I told you its fine so stop apologizing" she said while i was there staring at her awkwardly.

"What?" She asks me.

"Thanks for looking after me.." i said shyly.

What followed was a deafening silence .we  were just there staring at each other with our faces a few inches apart. Then our heads started moving towards each other.when our lips were almost close to touching i Subconsciously closed my eyes and awaited the 'soft touch'..

"Cough cough cough"

" Damn" i cursed in my mind while opening my eyes to see my mom at the door with a grin on her face.

" Your awake" she says while walking towards me with a worried look on her face.

" Ummm i gotta get going now.ill inform the doctor that you're awake while going out.take care bye" suzie says with a blush on her face as she heads towards the door.

" You didn't tell me you have a girlfriend" mom chipped in.

"Mm umm it not li.." i started stuttering 

" I like her though" my mum interjected.

"Mum am really sorry about what happen i..." I tried explaining with intention of Changing the topic of the conversation.

" We'll talk about that when we get home" she cuts in. "But for now i need to get home and microwave the food i cooked since its getting dark.if all goes well, you should be discharged tomorrow.Ill be back tomorrow morning,Austin will be with you tonight okay.bye honey"

"Bye mum" i replied.

I was still on bed thinking about the dream I had when Austin walked in. I was still pissed at him buh when I saw him i felt bad. The guy was miserable,he seemed to have lost some weight overnight. Also he had eye bags meaning that he really hasn't slept since then and i felt real bad.

" Hey buddy" he said

" Hey" i said still pretending to be angry at him.

"Look am really sorry for what happened,it was all my fault.i coerced you into going with me even when you didn't want to .i umm-mm really sorry bro.please forgive me" he said slowly.

I really wanted to pretend to be angry at him but I when I heard the sincerity in his voice i automatically dropped the act.

" Its fine buddy" i replied"i Know your intentions were pure and you didn't mean no harm.dont worry its fine. didn't your parents get mad at you for not sleeping home since then?" I asked .

" Na they didn't mind when i explained everything to them.they even came visiting yesterday".

"So did you see the snakes that bit me at the tomb" i asked.

"Snakes? I don't understand" Austin asked with a  confused look on his face." The doctor said the reason you fainted was perhaps you hit your head when you fell.he didn't make any mention of been bitten by a snake."

"Wait, didn't you see any symbol on the wall close to where you found me?" I asked getting restless.

"Symbol? Other than the one we saw at the door,i didn't see any other symbol". Austin replied getting more confused."when i saw you on the ground i immediately called your mum and waited till she arrived i didn't see any snakes or symbol.whats wrong man.are you ook?"

At this point my head was spinning reel.i touched the spot on my neck where the snake bit me but there was not even a scratch.strange,i thought.

"Am ook,guess am just stressed out" i lied cos even i don't know whats going on.

Just then the doctor walked in.after running some tests on me he said:" you seem to be perfectly fine, except your heart is beating a bit faster than usual.you should be fine.it should be the side effects of the treatments you were given.but on a whole you're fine just try to avoid stressing yourself for the time being".

"Does that mean i can be discharged now?" i asked.

"Of course you're good to go" he replied.

" Great" i replied excitedly. The smell of drugs was already making my belly churn.i looked at Austin and as if reading my mind we both walked out of the ward.

We walked out the hospital and..."finally i get to breathe fresh air" i said 

We walked along the silent street talking about a lot of crazy thing till i got to Austin's place and dropped him off.of course after saying hi to his parents.

I started walking alone down the road to the house.

I was Lost in the thoughts of what happened at the tomb and the dream I had. I didn't know a car was coming behind me not until i heard a loud shout from i suppose the driver.but it was already late as the bonnet of the car was just few inches from my back. I was paralysed by fear such that i closed my eyes and couldn't even move.Then it happened.     Everywhere became strangely quiet. I opened my eyes and saw the car,but no.it wasn't moving,the drive was in the car with his mouth wide open.but i noticed he wasn't moving.it was like everything was being paused.

"What's happening" i said starting to get scared.

I stepped away from the car to the side of the road.still the car was still paused.i looked around and i noticed some flies around me.And they were static too.no,they were crawling at a snails pace.Afraid,i tried running away,and behold at first sprint i found myself moving at inhumane speed.i was so fast that everything was blurry around me.i forced my self to stop only to stumble and fall while rolling on the ground. I stood up and my clothes were in rags and my shoes were gone..i turned back and i couldn't even see a trace of the car.my whole body was vibrating like i was air itself.

Scared i shouted "WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?"...
