Gannon moves over to the spot Travis just vacated, leans into Susan, and whisper-shouts, “what was that Susan? I asked you to befriend him. That sure as hell didn’t look like friendly behavior!” Gannon rarely swore, so both Susan and Caitriona knew Gannon was upset.
Susan sighed, rested her elbow on the table and placed her head in her hand.

Travis led Susan out by her hand. Susan was nervous and realized Travis was making a statement to the pack that she was with him and unavailable to the other young werewolves. Just as Travis was impressed by Susan’s beautiful wolf form, Susan thought Travis’ huge, mostly silver wolf interspersed with black hairs and a slightly brown underside was the most magnificent thing she had ever seen.
