Chapter 6

Freya's body went cold as she can feel every hair on her body standing as her heart pumps loud and fast. Dreadfulness was starting to consume her whole that she could feel her legs trembling.

"Did Cat got your tongue, Freya?" Zeus stepped toward her, glaring.

"W-What are you doing here?" She said while stepping back. She was afraid that Zeus might hurt her again.

"I'm here to take my daughter." Her hand went cold when she heard what Zeus said.

"Z-Zeus p-please don't take her from me, don't take my daughter," she said as tears started to fall down her cheeks. She almost knelt down, which she would really do.

"And what? You're going to keep my daughter from me again? "Zeus raged, shouting at Freya, "I'll take her, and you won't be able to stop me."

"Z-Zeus, please don't take my daughter from me please!"

"She's my daughter too, but what did you do? You hid her from me! " Zeus shouted at her.

"I only did that because I knew you would take her away from me," she said while holding Zeus' arm, stopping him from entering the house.

"You are correct, I will really take my daughter away from you!" Zeus said while he was trying to remove Freya's hand from gripping his arm.

"Let go of me because if you don't you will be really hurt!" Zeus threatened, but she still didn't listen.

Zeus' rage flowed through him like lava as he glared and seized Freya's arm and pinned her against the nearest wall. Her arm and back were in excruciating pain. As a result, she lacked the strength to struggle.

"Mommy?"

Zeus and Freya were both shocked to hear Astraea's voice, so Zeus let her go. Even though she was scared, she still tried to calm herself when she saw Astraea coming down.

"Why are you shouting at my mommy?" Astraea walked over to her and held her hand. And then her daughter turned to face Zeus.

"You don't have the right to shout and hurt my mommy," Astraea said while her hands were on her hips. Zeus was just stunned while looking at Astraea.

What surprised her even more was that Astraea pushed Zeus, "Get out! Bad guys are not welcome to our house. "

"I'm... not," Zeus stuttered, as if he didn't know what to do or say to their daughter.

With her brows raised, Astraea asked, "What are you saying?"

"I'm not..." Zeus closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I'm not shouting at your mom."

"Don't lie to me. I saw you shouting at my mom, and I heard you threatened my mom that you would hurt her. "

Zeus pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, like he was running out of patience. That's why she approached her daughter.

"Baby," she calls out to Astraea, "Mommy's fine, just go upstairs, okay?"

"But mommy, I don't want to go upstairs as long as he's still here at our house. He might shout at you again, "Astraea said, pouting.

"Don't worry, mommy can handle this promise," she swore, raising her hand.

Astraea looked at her first, so she smiled to let her daughter know that she was okay.

"OK, mommy," Astraea said, hugging her.

Astraea turned to Zeus one last time and said, "If you try to hurt my mommy, I will report you to my daddy." He was surprised when she heard what Astraea said to Zeus.

Zeus immediately averted his eyes, like he was scared of their daughter .

When Astraea was able to enter their room, she immediately turned to Zeus and saw that he was still in shock and was trying to process in her mind what Astraea said.

"I'm sorry about that. Astraea doesn't really have that attitude. She's just not really used to someone fighting with me." She said, defending her daughter. Zeus might say that she didn't raise Astraea properly.

"I didn't know that my daughter was feisty; she's really a herrera."  Zeus said while still amazed by what Astraea did. She, too, was shocked but at the same time proud of her daughter because she knew that Astraea could defend herself.

"Astraea, my princess, grandma is here!"

Grace's face was flushed with surprise. When she saw Zeus in their house.

"Son, what are you doing here?" Grace asked, confused.

"Shouldn't I be the one to ask you that? Zeus's brow furrowed. She knew that Zeus was also surprised by his mother's presence.

"I'm just visiting my adorable granddaughter. Is that bad?" Grace simply said that made Zeus even more surprised.

"So you know about Astraea?" Zeus asked, unable to believe what his mother said.

"Of course." Grace said, like it was nothing.

"Since when and why didn't you tell me, mom?" There was resentment in Zeus's voice.

"Since Freya left you and... oh I didn't tell you because you deserve it, son." Grace's words had left Zeus speechless.

It seems like Grace didn't really tell Zeus what she knew about Astraea. Because it was obvious from Zeus' face that he really didn't know anything about their daughter, she was thankful that Grace really did what she promised.

Grace turned to her and walked towards her, hugging her. "Freya Hija, I came here when I found out Zeus was coming here." Grace said and looked at Zeus, glaring, "Did he do something stupid?"

She was about to answer when she suddenly heard Astraea's voice.

"Grandma! I miss you! " Astraea shouted while running towards Grace. "You know what, grandma, we went to New Jersey. It's a pity we didn't meet there. " Astraea said while kissing Grace.

"Oh, that's nice, my baby; by the way, grandma brought you presents; do you want to see them?" She saw that Astraea was excited by what Grace said.

"Of course, grandma, I would love that," Astraea said while jumping. Grace prompted her two guards to bring the large box into the house, which she figured was a toy.

Astraea was happy as the two guards brought the big box into their house. And when the guards put it down, her daughter immediately opened it.

Astraea kissed Grace and said, "Wow grandma, thank you for this; you are the best grandma in the whole wide world."

She turned to Zeus's direction, who was just looking at Astraea and Grace, and she felt guilty because she knew Astraea wouldn't have treated Zeus like earlier  if she hadn't taken her daughter away from him. She knew Zeus was hurt by what their daughter said, so she felt sorry for him while looking at it, but she quickly averted her gaze when Zeus suddenly looked at her with cold eyes.

"Pack Astraea's things were going back to New Jersey." She was astonished by what Zeus said. Freya's heart raced in her chest as she looked at Zeus. She willed her hand to stop shaking as she spoke.

"Never! I will not allow you to take Astraea back to New Jersey. " Freya's nostrils flared as she stared at Zeus. She would not allow Zeus to take Astraea from her, over her dead body.

"Who says you're not coming with us," Zeus said, in a cold voice.
