42. The lost mate bond

"Doctor! Doctor! Where the fuck is everyone?!" Dominic's loud voice boomed in the hospital, shaking the building. 

But nothing could express what he was feeling. He was feeling as if he would die at any moment. The breath would leave his body any moment and at the same time someone was clenching his heart by taking it in hands. He was in pain. Too much pain. 

But he wasn't feeling this pain because of the mate bond or anything because that bond was gone. It was gone in a way where he couldn't feel it even a little bit. 

The pain he was feeling was coming from inside. He couldn't bear to look at Athena, fighting for her life. It was all his fault. He won't be able to forgive himself if something happens to her.
