Chapter 7

Thalia had been asking me where we were going. We loaded up the car and were now halfway through the journey. I remained silent, just smiling at her.

"We're here, Ma'am Tanya!" After a long while, Manong Julio finally announced.

I looked in the rear-view mirror, where Manong Julio, who had picked us up from the apartment, was looking.

He quickly got out of the car to open the door for Thalia and me. When I stepped out, the gate of the mansion opened, and Dayana appeared. She froze when our eyes met.

It seemed she knew what was going on between Dylan and me. She wasn't even surprised to see me. Her face was blank as she looked at me.

I couldn't stop thinking about the past. The scene was the same as when I left the mansion.

"Wow! Look, Mom! A school bus!" Thalia shook my hand and pointed to the yellow bus that had stopped in front of the car we were in.

The little girl I saw at the mall got off the bus. She was Dylan and Dayana's daughter.

"Mommy!"

"Sweetie!"

The girl ran up to Dayana
