I tightened my hold on the blankets around me as I grumbled my frustrations to myself. It's been over two hours and Higan and I haven't spoken to each other.

I wondered if he actually went to cool his head and if he did, I hoped that he could come back to his senses as soon as possible. His words were out of character for him, or maybe that's a part of him that he has never shown me.

It sucked seeing it, but being so hurt about it sucked even more.

My heart ached painfully and tears filled my eyes every time I recalled what happened in the kitchen. I thought that he would be excited by the news like I was but seeing how much he wasn't was like a punch to the stomach.

Maybe it was naïve of me to think that his actions towards me were love. He has never told me that he felt that way but I could feel it. Or rather, I thought that I could feel it.

Feeling suffocated by the heat that accumulated under the sheets, I pulled them off me and sat up. I let out a deep breath as I tried
