Courtney

I was trying to have my breakfast without thinking about the little chat I had with Micheal last night. And his presence wasn’t making it any easier. I looked up and saw him busy feeding Mel.

Last night he told me that he had never loved me and whatever it was, was pure infatuation. He apologized multiple times for his horrendous behavior.

I was amused. I didn’t expect that from a ruthless mob boss for sure. I for obvious reasons didn’t accept his apology. Who repeats the same mistake twice, but I did tell him that we could be acquaintance only for Mel’s sake.

He seemed quite ecstatic at just that thought. He did leave my room mumbling more sorries, I tried paying no heed but I start judging myself if I’m doing the right thing or not when someone apologizes to me repeatedly.

I was busy contemplating whether I should forgive him or not but then I heard

CourtneyI was trying to find my red top. I had made up my mind about wearing that top and I was rummaging through my closet for it.I have no idea where I kept it but I wanted it now. I am a sucker for organization and it should have been in my red top section but it wasn't.It had been half an hour now, I was trying to find the top. After fifteen minutes of me trying to find it and maintaining my closet, I pulled out all of the clothes. Now, I was standing in between a pile of clothes, looking around for them. The floor was covered with clothes and I probably need to iron a few of them again.“Where is it,” I uttered moving through the pile of clothes.“Where is what?” I heard someone ask.“My top. A red top.” I said still looking for it.“Can you describe it?”&ldquo

CourtneyJason and been pestering me about going back with him to New York. Two days. For the past two days, he hasn't left my house. He told me he will not leave till I come back with him.“Court, I think Melvin is hungry,” he said walking over to me.He is trying to pretend like everything is fine between us when it is not. He acts like we are some sort of normal couple and are living happily.“What is wrong with you?” I annoyingly pointed my finger towards him.“What is wrong with me?” He said checking out his shirt and pants.“Is there anything I can't see?” He asked me turning behind and looking if there was anything wrong with his clothes.“Stop that! I mean you! Why are you behaving like everything is normal and we are one happy couple?” I bit out.“Aren't we?” He said look

CourtneyIf only I could explain the look on his face."So you have been sleeping with my brother?" He asked with uncertainty. I sometimes wonder how stupid a person can get. And right now, he was the idiotic person I knew."You think?" I asked raising one of my brows. He looked flabbergasted. He released me and took a few steps back to maintain some distance between us or at least that is what I convinced myself to believe."H...How?" He asked, licking his lower lip."He calls you mommy. If you are not his mother, then who is?" He questioned. I was expecting this when he found out who I was but not like this."Will you be patient?" I asked him."Yeah," he said. His voice was uncertain. We sat down on the chair and he turned a little bit towards me for answers."Nobody knows about him. I guess you might have figured it out by now." I said looking

“What?” I asked him. his head hung low and he didn’t dare to look into my eyes.“Please tell me this is a joke,” I said. I was panicking. I didn’t do all of this to find out I’m still married to him. I walked closer to him and held him by his collar.“Tell me you are lying,” I said hoping it wouldn’t be true but he didn’t answer nor did he look at me.It was hard but I knew that he wasn’t lying. I released him slowly and took a few steps behind. How? I made sure that I signed the divorce agreement but…“You didn’t sign it did you?” I looked at him for an answer. His silence gave me the answer I wanted. I slumped on the couch.Never had I expected that he wouldn't sign it. He wanted me gone didn’t he? Why didn’t he sign it? It was too much information. Too much for me to process everything.

CourtneyI had to run before he could do anything more. He hadn't moved an inch and just stood glaring at me.I looked deep into his eyes and before he could do anything, I ran towards the door. Before I could reach the doorknob, he jerked me back towards him.I winced at his hold. But he didn't loosen his grip on my arm. "Leave me!" I uttered. With my other hand on his trying desperately to free me."Not so soon," he said and bent down and threw me on his shoulder. I screamed extremely loudly but that didn't have any effect on him.I started thrashing my legs and kept hitting his back but it didn't affect him at all. He began walking out. I didn't give in and kept struggling but he held me in place. He took me to the parking lot and put me in his car and buckled me in. I tried to be fast and unfasten and run, guess luck wasn't on my side. He was already in the driver's se
