Logan
The morning started peeking through my office window. Hitting my face. Shit! I fell asleep in my office again. Damn it. I heard a small knock on my door. "Come in," I said in my commanding voice. Try to keep a strong face as it opened. I felt my face immediately soften when I saw my mom come in through the door. I reached up to my face to rub the sleep out of my eyes. "Awe hun, did you fall asleep in here again?" She came over with a tray full of breakfast, and sat down in front of my desk. I nodded like a five year old holding on to her hand again. Grabbing the coffe cup to a sip, to try and wake me up a bit. "You need to stop doing that. It's not healthy for you're neck. And for Aspen." Aspen was my wolf. And she was right, my neck hurts. I can only imagine how Aspen would feel if when we shifted later for our run of the grounds. "I know. There's just so much to catch up on. Dad had issues when he got sick. He didn't feel up to doing this." I looked down at my plate as I mentioned dad. I didn't want to see the hurt of my mother's face, she had lost her only mate. And since he passed, I had to take over for the Moonlight Pack as Alpha. "Understandable, but we can't afford for you to be next. Especially me." She stated. I grabbed a fork full of eggs and shoveled them in my mouth as a watch a weaken smile appear on her face. "I know its only been a couple of months. But he would've been proud to see you like this." She rustled my hair before turn towards the door. "Oh, can you get Max and you'reself presentable this sunday?" Max was my beta, it seemed fair. His dad was my dad's beta and we were best friends and fighting buddies. Plus he was the only one out of all the candidates I trusted. "Why?" I asked politely. "Moon Waterfall packs Luna, Ellen. She invited our pack to her stepdaughters 18th birthday." I rolled my eyes. "Ma, is this youre way of trying to get Max and I to find our mates again?" I ask her, in a calm but awnser needing voice. "Yes," She anwsers without missing a beat. "And, Ellen and I came from the same pack. She was one of my closets friends, she's finally happy and wants to share that with me. We are going!" She started walking out the door. "You know I'm the Alpha now right?" I called after her. "Thats why I said yes on youre behalf!" She remarked. I chuckled as I heard her snicker down the hallway. "Whats got her in a good mood?" Max asked as he walked through the office door and took a seat. "We are going to a party this Sunday. Moonfall pack." "WHAT?!?" Max jumped out of his seat, and bolted out the door. "Cyntiha, wait Cynthia!!!!! I already have plans!!! Cynthia!!!" I laughed as I watch him chase after my mother down the hallway and her completely ignore him. "Give it up bro!? No point!" I called after him. I turned on my heel to head upstairs to grab a pair of grey shorts and a t-shirt. I came back to the front of the back house and laid my clothes on the bench under the tree. I let Aspen shift and consume me, so we could go for our morning run around the grounds. Mom was right, Aspen huffed, because he was so stiff. He stretched, before we went for our run.Logan "Hey, we got to start heading to your office, and Anna is going to drop off our suits." Max pats my back, I take a deep breath. We leave the great hall to walk to the office. Which looks very good in my opinion, I watch as Max takes a landscape picture on his phone. "What are you doing?" I ask. "I'm sending this to Mae, just in case she has to change it before tonight." He rolls his eyes as he turns to finally walk with me. "What if this doesn't go as planned?" I ask him bluntly and show a little vulnerability. "Are you doubting your mad skills, Alpha?" He asks me, trying to give me a boost of confidence. He nudges me with his arm. "I just want Isabelle to be safe." I say plainly as I open the office door. I get behind my desk and sit, while Max takes his position. Judging others over my shoulders, I fold my hands and get into my best 'I'm the Alpha of this pack and I mean business' look. "I trust that the girls have a backup plan in the meantime. Don't you?"
Isabelle I was relaxing on the couch in the living room, beinge watching some superhero movies. I got back into my pajama pants and found the fuzziest blanket in the apartment. A soft knock on the door interrupted my relaxation time. "Come in." Cynthia came barreling in, and she looked very upset. "You don't like fish?" She said, accusatory. I looked around the room, hoping for a hole to jump in. "You can tell me the truth, love, I won't be upset." I looked down at the floor. "No, I was trying to be polite." I felt Cynthia sit down next to me and pat my leg. "Well, I can make sure that events we do together from now on have things we both like. I just wish you would've told me." "I didn't think I'd be staying." I shrugged and looked up at her. I saw the tears welling up in her eyes as she patted my leg again. "Mae told me about your living situation, and Max told me about the scars. I didn't know your mother very well, but I have a feeling that this is not what she would ha
Logan That shower was well needed, in more than one way. It gave me time to think more clearly and figure out where Isabelle's head was. I walked down to the great hall, I waited to see how mum and Mae were doing. "Higher, Max, come on!" Mae hollered at him, I looked over to Max, who was trying to put a roof of streamers in the air. Max made eye contact with me and mouthed the words 'help me', I chuckled at the encounter. I looked around and saw mom in the corner trying food. I walked over to give her a hug. "Hey, what are you doing?" I ask her polietly. "I'm picking the menu for the evening, trying to combine pack cultures. Like what Isabelle did, what are you up to?" She looks up at me after handing a plate of red velvet cake. I sat down next to her and took a huge bite. "Checking up on you guys." I shrug, I look over at her food list and notice the maple glazed salmon was on her list. "Mum." I say to get her attention. "What's up, fire fly?" She says, not even looking up a
Isabelle I didn't want to talk, I wanted to distract him. I wanted to make sure he didn't know that I was a foolish little pup who didn't think about the future. Let alone be allowed to think about the future. I slid on top of him and waited for my body to adjust. The second time around was different than the first. There was no love, no gentleness, and no sentiment. It was just raw erotic passion and heat. I loved it like that. "Shit, fuck, mmm." He moaned on repeat, every now and than too he'd throw in. "Baby girl, come on." He grabbed my waist to help guide my hips as I continued to bounce on him. I soft moan left my lips the deeper he went. "Iz, baby, I'm going to..." He couldn't even get tthe words out because of how good he felt. I got close to his ear and brushed my lips against him in a seductive whisper. "Then do it." As if on comand we both realsed into tidal waves of ertoic excatsy. I moaned his name so loud that it felt like the entire room was shaking. I collasp
Logan I was up in the apartment making a sandwich for lunch. Max was sitting at the counter, already chowing down on the one I made. "So why is there a code green on Alpha David?" I topped the sandwich with the last bit of bread and started making a thrid. "Isabelle." I explained. "I need more content than that, Logan." "He abused her. She's covered in scars. That's why her wolf reacted the way she did. We had an agrugement, and Willow took over because she got scared for Isabelle. Because of David, he doesn't deserve the Alpha title." He nodded in agreement. "Fair enough, what's the plan?" "Well, I'm thinking figure out what his plan is for sucession and go from there. But my gut tells me we need more than that." I take a bite out of the thrid sandwich I made when Isabelle came in through the door. "What happened to meeting you guys in the office?" She waives her hand in the air. "I got hungry." Max gestures to the food in his hand while I push her plate toward
Isabelle Mae and Max went to leave, but I decided to say something. "Mae, ask Cynthia to help, please?" "Of course." They left the office quickly and closed the door behind them. Logan and I stayed where we were. With my face buried in his chest as he continued to stroke my hair. "I'm serious, I'll bulid you a rose garden." He restated in my hair, his lips brushing against the top of my head. "I know, hunny." I smiled in his chest as my breathing slowed. I looked up at him and gave him a small kiss. "Yeah, okay, I'll go get started on it now." He pretended to walk away, but I held him in his place. A smile appeared on my face as he joked around. "Just throw a couple of rose archs in the Luna's garden, and I'll be happy." "You know about that?" He smiled down at me. "I found it yesterday. Your mother pointed out every Luna's contribution, roses that'll be mine. But if they can be light pink, please? It'll much the ambiance of the garden better." He kissed me soft
