That night in the Blood Shadow pack was a tough night for young Alpha Arnes.
He couldn’t forget Raven’s look and the words she told him before she fell to the ground.
A strange feeling was inside him that made him go to the square and see her.
He won’t obey Leon, not this time, he will put her in the cell and send her some help, no matter what she has done if she has done it.
Beka was always suspicious, no matter that she was his mate, that was the only thing he had with her... a bond of mates, but no love.
His love was with Raven, but for now, that was impossible.
The pillar was in blood but she wasn’t there.
Her fangs were lying in a puddle of her thick blood also, but she was nowhere to be found.
A rage was growing inside of him.
His thoughts were all over, making him doubt every feeling he had for her.
“Was it true?”
“Could Beka had right?”
“Were, is she!” Were questions in his head, for which he couldn’t find answers.
“Guards!” He yelled like crazy.
They came fast, looking like they were just awakened.
“What the hell happened here?!” He asked in anger.
They were scared and confused by questions and situations.
“Alpha..., we don’t know what’s happened”, one of them answered.
“Yes”, the other confirmed.
“I remember a dark cloud came and that’s all “, he said.
Arnes was furious.
Leon, Beka, and Amy were there fast, with warriors and pack members.
“I knew it”, Beka screamed, when saw that Raven was gone.
“Shut up!” Arnes warned her, which surprised everyone there.
“I will find her, and decide what to do “, he said.
“That is not your decision only”, Leon spoke.
“You gave me the title, I’m Alpha and a leader now, so yes.. it is my decision, father”, he was clear, and he meant it.
Never in his life, Leon didn’t see his son in that state, not even when he found out the way his mother passed away.
He was content that he would punish that filthy girl he never liked.
There was one thing he didn’t know, though.
Arnes loved Raven, no matter what, he wanted the truth, and was determined to find out.
“How do you plan to find her without no clues?” Leon asked.
“There’s always a clue, especially when it comes to blood”, his smile was vicious when he looked at the blood trace that led to the woods.
Beka and Amy returned fast to the mansion.
Beka was angry that Arnes spoke to her like that and embarrassed her in front of the pack members.
She walked through her room like crazy, not able to calm herself.
“You should be smarter”, Amy warned her.
“I couldn’t kill her myself, that’s why I send Jake, the best warrior to do it”, she said in anger.
“Of course, your secret lover”, Amy was sarcastic.
“He was the father of my child”, she warned Amy, with a mean voice.
“Alpha will be his father!” Amy threatened her.
“That is the only way you become Luna, otherwise he will found out that you are the real witch, not Raven!” Amy warned her.
“As long I have my spell on him, he won’t”, she said.
“It won’t last forever, because if he find her, he will realize that she is his true mate”, Amy spoke to her.
“It will be to late than”, Beka smiled evilly.
“I’ll have his child by then, she was looking in the distance, with her cold blue eyes.
“We need more potion then, and stronger too, because you will carry that child the whole nine months”, Amy said, scared.
“So?” Beka was nonchalant.
“Alpha’s baby usually born’s in 6 months, or less”, She said.
“Even your stupid, human half-sister knew that”, Amy said.
“Don’t say that Raven is my sister never again!” She threatened Amy.
“She is a stupid human”, Beka said.
“Human, yes, because she inherit the gene from her father, that is also yours”.
“Calling her stupid,it’s not smart from you, because she did manage to escape “, Amy said.
“We need to contact your aunt Sila”, Amy said.
“That stupid witch whos husband is a vampire?” Beka asked.
“She’s much more powerful than both of us, and not stupid”, Amy answered.
Also, that vampire is an ex-king and her beloved”, she stated.
“I don’t care who he is, I don’t like vampires”, she said with hate.
“Well, you better don’t show that, because it will be a problem”, Amy warned her.
“Why would that be a problem?” Beka was full of herself, as usual.
“Because, he is pureblood and very powerful, not to mention that in their kingdom, mostly witches live in harmony with vampires”, Amy said.
“So what?”
“I’m not there, and I will never be, so I don’t give a shit”, she said.
“You have character like your late grandmother”, Amy said.
“Well, thank you”, she answered with a smile.
“She’s dead, so it’s not funny”, Amy said.
“It took a lot to kill a witch, but because of her selfishness, that must have been done.
“She almost destroyed our race”.
“Do not do the same thing”, she warned Beka, gently, and almost she pleaded with her.
“I will try mother”, she answered when she walked away.
Amy stayed there, watching her daughter leave.
She wondered herself was all she had done was the right thing.
Yes, Raven was a threat, even though she was her daughter too, but she hated her.
Her father cheated her with a human, so she revenge by killing him, and letting Raven take the blame.
She pretends that Raven is just another orphan in a mansion that she takes care of.
She had nothing of a witch in her, only her look, hair, build, and eyes.
Another thing she had that Amy hated more than anything else.
A heart, like her sister Sila, and Amy hated her for being always better than herself.
She should be a vampire queen, not her sister, but no, Sila was his beloved and there was nothing she could do, even his wife and son.
But now, she could get revenge, on all of them, she just needed to be a little smarter.
DRAVEN’S POV I have never in my 500 years felt a similar feeling, like when I saw her in that woods. Something that day, when I traveled to the castle, led me to turn from my path in another direction. It was far enough from the castle, too far for my taste, especially when I knew there was the meanest pack of all of them I knew. They were harsh to strangers but must obey laws, mine especially, because their King had a peace contract with me, so our species have lived in peace for centuries. That was the only thing, with which I agreed with my father. Now, I was needed again at the castle, because the queen had a ceremony, which must be provided with fresh blood from our banks. I was the president of the most significant blood bank in the world, and there were a lot of pureblooded vampires, that were elite, as she always said. I didn’t care much about them, even though we were rare, but, not killing people for blood, just like helping them, was good enough for me. I couldn’t
“I don’t want to be a monster, I’ll fight in my human form!” Raven was angry. She was tired and sweaty from practicing self-defense on the training field all day It wasn’t hard for her, but the hard part was that she needed to accept the fact, she was a monster, well, at least she saw herself like that. Dana, in another hand, didn’t. She saw Raven as someone special and truly brave and kindhearted, but it wasn’t something she could tell her, no. Raven needed to understand that herself, but the first step was acceptance. “I understand that my dear, but in your vampire form you are much more flexible and stronger”, Dana was telling her, calmly. “Let’s try with Peter, shall we?” She raised her hand and a strong, tall man was there in no time. He was black-haired, with dark bloody eyes, and very muscular, not to mention that he was the strongest warrior they had. He was pissed at spoiled Raven, as he saw her, and ready to destroy her. All vampires were fast, they had excellent s
“I don’t care what king will think of me, I just want this night pass by as quick as possible”, she said to the girl and left the room. “Are you coming?” Raven asked when she saw Selma standing in the doorway. “Of course not, this is just for a pureblood elite, very high ranks of society”, she answered. “Well, that is the most stupid thing I have ever heard”, Raven was upset. “Where is your room?” She asked. “Never mind, you are coming with me”, she ordered Selma. “But, ...I can’t, I’m not even dressed properly...“, Selma was trying to escape, but Raven was persistent. “You look great, you wearing make-up, your hair is good and you wearing a dress.” “Now, take me to that ball”, Raven said, firmly. “I was never here before”, Selma said when they entered the ballroom, full of pureblooded vampires. It was huge, filled with bright lights and golden decorations, together with red and golden furniture. That didn’t leave Raven in awe. Those things didn’t bother her, she was humbl
Inside my head was a mess. I wanted him to take me there and do whatever he wanted with me, oh God... That was insane, more because of that I was a virgin, with filthy thoughts, but yet... I forgot I was also a vampire, and they had a huge urge for sex, like werewolves, maybe even more, especially with someone they loved. Could he be my beloved? No, that wasn’t possible, I just enjoyed his touch. He was hot as hell, no wonder the vampire in me was impressed, and he saved me, by the way, that is why he was in my dreams, I tried to explain to myself. Why did my whole body tremble then, wanting him so much? The whole room started to spin and I couldn’t take that. So I ran. I ran away from his touch, look, and everything he presented because I knew if I stayed, he would have me forever in his mercy. I made an excuse that my head was hurting, so I could lock myself in my room, and have a long bath, hoping he’d be gone by then. That was my first mistake. The water wasn’t helpin
She woke up alone. His smell was on her and everywhere around, and the bed was still warm. It was not long ago that he left her alone there, in the room. They room. Vampires don’t sleep, but purebloods could if they wanted to, which I think he did. The only thing she didn’t understand was why he left. Raven wanted to wake up in his arms and feel all the love she was feeling last night when they made love. She did feel loved by him, she felt all of it, but he left anyway. Her human suffered but the vampire inside her suffered more. She was angry and hurt by his behavior, she was his beloved, and she gave him all of herself, her soul, body, and heart. Everything she had belonged to him now, and forever. She let the water wash out her tears and cried in silence in the shower. She was broken, realizing that her life would be forever like this from now on, and it was tearing her apart because she could feel his love. She was at the door when he came into the room. He was wear
“Son?” Dana was trying to bring Draven back to reality. “Could Sila be his true beloved, like a second chance?” Draven asked, still confused. “No.” “Vampires are not like some werewolves, we have only one beloved for eternity if we are lucky enough, she stated. Draven smiled, bitterly. “I was sure that you to were true beloved ones, because of the love between both of you, even I could feel that”, he said. “We were in love, that is true, but...” “No buts, mother!” He interrupted her. “He left you broken-hearted, that is something I won’t allow”, he was furious. “Stop!” Dana raised her voice for the first time at him. “Now, when we are honest already, you will hear the truth”, she said in a warning tone. “Sila isn’t an ordinary witch, she is very powerful and not to be trusted, but that is another story, an ancient history.” “She insisted that your father negotiates with her, alone, without my presence, which was immediately suspicious to me, but...you know your father, he
“Where the hell is Beka?!” Arnes was pissed, because it was time to start searching for Raven, and he wanted to be sure that Beka will do her duty, as future Luna. Besides, Leon was coming with him also, so she would stay with Pack and a few best warriors. “Alpha, The future Luna, and her mother were missing, since morning”, Jay, his best warrior said to him. It was hard for him to say that to his Alpha, knowing his temper, especially since Raven wasn’t there, but it needed to be done. “What are you talking about?” “Who’s guarding the mansion and kids there?” Arnes was mad. “Well, those girls are almost all 18 years old, so they can stay by themselves. “With a pack full of horny men?” Arnes gave him a threatening look. “Put the best guards there, I don’t need no drama, until I get back”, he ordered. “I think it would be wiser that you go find that girl and her mother”, Leon was there. “It is strange that both of them missing, without word”, he teased his son more and more, k
She woke up, lying on a pile of hay, alone. Everything was still covered with blood, both of hers and panther’s, which reminded her to wonder, where did she go? A light was coming from above her head. The cave was big, in the shape of a circle, and high above was an opening through which light was entering. There was nothing that told her someone lived here, besides that stack of hay, which seemed dragged into the cave, by some animal. It must have been Panther, but she was still too young. Then it occurred to her, that there was too much blood, and traces, human traces. Hunters! They killed the panther’s parents, that’s why she had a deep cut, only a sharp and big object could do it, like a sword or machete. She was disgusted with that thought, telling herself that she would find them, but now, she needed to drink, eat something, anything. Someone’s presence has been felt by Raven. When she turned around, she couldn’t believe what she saw. The panther was too big, even fo
