Chapter 1

My eye bags are brilliantly huge. I couldn't sleep at all last night because of that kissing monster.

"Are you alright Tina?" Hans asks as I practise my high kicks with him.

"Yeah, I didn't have enough sleep last night that's all."

"Mint again?" Hans asks with a raised eyebrow.

I nod, "He goes to that club every day."

"He's probably just going through a phase."

"A twenty two year old man?" I say incredulously, "He's an alcoholic at this rate."

The ringing of a phone interrupts us and Hans walks to his bag and pulls out his mobile.

After taking the call, he has a huge grin across his face as he comes towards me.

"I finally have someone requesting for you!"

"What do you mean?" I ask in confusion.

"Someone needs a bodyguard for hire. You'll get paid £3000 a month." Hans explains.

£3000?! That's more than enough for me to support myself and my family.

"Sounds good." I say with a smile.

"Just one important thing Tina." Hans says with a sudden serious expression on his face.

"What is it?" I ask curiously.

"Uh, the client has a phobia of women so they want a male bodyguard."

"Male? Then how do I–" I gasp as Hans nods suggestively. "You want me to be a man?!"

"Come on Tina, it's not too bad. You don't usually look any different from a man anyway. Think about it. £3000 to act like a man."

"Is that an insult Hans?" I say, crossing my arms.

"I'm just saying the truth." Hans defends.

It's not a bad deal to be honest. I know myself that I get mistaken for a male when I usually go about my days anyway. I don't really mind what people see me as and I'll become rich enough to support my family.

"If he has a phobia of women, would he be alright with me? I'm physically a woman too." I ponder aloud.

"It shouldn't trigger his fear if he thinks of you as a man right?" Hans says.

"Fine, I'll risk this job for the money." I say with a smile.

Hans chuckles, "You really love money."

"Who doesn't?" I grin. I'm finally on my way to becoming rich.

After Hans has sent me the location for the meeting with the client, I drive to the cafe. I've made sure to style my hair neatly for this meeting and I'm wearing a suit. I have to look the part in front of a rich client.

"You're finally here."

I glance across at the person waiting for me. My eyes widen as he lifts up his head after checking his watch.

Th-this man again?!

"I think I have the wrong table." I mutter and quickly walk away. My client is probably waiting for me on the other side of this cafe. Hans has accidentally given me the wrong table number.

"Wait, are you Mr Tin Gold?" The man calls behind me.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

Do it for £3000. £3000. £3000. I chant inside my mind.

Recollecting myself, I walk as calmly as I can, back to the table.

"You've already wasted a lot of my time." The man says rudely. Is he always this impolite to strangers?

"I apologise Mr Jerk." I say calmly.

His eyes widen as he glares at me before his eyebrows knit together.

"Y-you! Why are you here?!"

I laugh as he looks flustered at seeing me again.

"You shouldn't be so rude to someone who is willing to be your bullet proof shield."

I understand now why this man would need a skilled bodyguard. With his arrogant rudeness and temper, it's no wonder he would be making enemies every time he breathes.

"What? You're actually the one Hans sent?! I told him to send me a professional bodyguard, not a thug." He says angrily.

"Please keep your voices down." A waiter says as he passes.

Everyone is staring at our table.

"I'm not a thug. I'm here to be your bodyguard so stop pissing me off." I say through gritted teeth.

"You're the one pissing me off! A thug as my bodyguard? Hell no!" He shouts.

"I can kill you right now if you continue being a rude jerk." I warn him.

"You're trying to scare me now? I'll call the cops!"

"Sirs, unfortunately, we will have to request both of you to leave as you are disturbing our customers." The waiter from before says and gestures to the door.

"We apologise." I say politely before grabbing my client's arm and dragging him out of the cafe.

Once outside, I let go of his arm and glare at him.

"What do I need to do for you to take me on as your bodyguard?" I won't let go of the £3000 this easily.

"Show me your fighting skills."

"Fine." I agree. "Who am I fighting?"

He smirks and I can literally see his mind scheming something.

"Follow me."
