Raven's POV

“What do you mean?”, I didn't even pause to register her reply as I pushed past her to the crowded lot.

I could feel the heat as I pushed everyone aside as I tried to reach the front.

There was a car….not just any car, the same car that Marcus had warned I and Lily to stay away from, all because it was a gift for his mistress and her son.

The windows were broken as well as the bumper, and it was lodged deep into the fence. And beside it was my little girl's school bag and favorite pencil purse alongside her coloring books sprawled all over the floor, but Lily wasn't in sight.

Panic coursed through me as I ran my fingers roughly through my hair and turned to one of the guards, “Where's my daughter?”

“She was taken to the pack's memorial hospital”

I wasn't thinking straight at this point; one of the guards quickly arranged a car for me, and we began our journey towards the hospital without wasting much time.

All I could think of was my daughter…my precious little girl.

“Was the Alpha present when the accident happened?” I asked to soothe my mind; I didn't know who I was kidding.

“Yes he was, but….” He trailed off, and that piqued my curiosity.

“Speak!” I ordered, and he began blurting everything out at once.

“He was there when it happened, but then almost immediately, Sienna had a panic attack probably over the accident, so the Alpha rushed off with her to their chambers and then delegated someone to go with the princess. I'm sorry Luna” He ended dejectedly, which only made me feel worse.

His very own flesh and blood was involved in an accident, but then he had the guts to be all over his mistress?

Marcus just had to blow the one real chance he got to act like a real father to Lily. Damn it!

“And she was excited”, I whined as I buried my face in my palms. The poor one couldn't even read the bad air that passed between all of us.

Who was Marcus trying to impress? The perfect father figure, my foot!

Soon enough we reached the hospital; Oh, how I hate the strong smell of antiseptic and blood.

My mind was in a haze as I thought of what my little girl must be going through.

I rushed to the receptionist and explained everything to her, and she directed me to her room.

Room 302

The second I reached the front of her room, I heard a really loud scream, and my heart seized. I burst into the room; her elbow looked awkward.

“Mommy!” Her cries became louder as she saw me. I rushed and held on to her right. My little baby girl.

“Luna please you'll have to hold her. We have to shift the bone back in place. She was lucky to have only been hit on her arm; it could have been a different story if she wasn't a brave girl and dodged it in time. Now please hold her.”

Dislocated? That bad? And he still ran off with his mistress.

“Mommy's here now, shhhh don't cry princess” I couldn't help but cry along with her, not only because of the pain but also because of the neglect she had to endure too. Everything was really messed up.

Seconds later, a heart-wrenching scream filled the air and the quick snap of bone.

This isn't what a five-year-old should go through. Not one bit.

The doctors gave her a candy and then anesthesia, which subdued the pain, and soon enough she was asleep, her long lashes still wet with tears resting on her pale pink cheeks.

My little Lily, she deserves all the love in the world, and yet she has to fight for attention with an illegitimate child.

Even as she was between consciousness and dreamland, she kept muttering in her sleep, and I could only pick out a few words.

"Daddy, Park!" for the same monster that would probably not pick her even in his next life.

All these were only frustrating, to say the least.

As I was sure that she was asleep, the doctor asked for a few words, and so I went ahead to his office with him, but not after asking the guard that came with me to monitor her closely and call me if anything comes up.

All the doctor said was disheartening, as I thought about it a few minutes later when I was back at her side, running my hands through her soft hair.

Her sugar level has dropped, and she has a high level of possible trauma.

Possible trauma while still in her own home, her very own pack….it all seemed absurd.

But I knew too well that it was the truth regardless.

I was still lost in thought as I heard a bit of scuffling outside and placed a quick kiss on Lily's forehead before going outside to figure out what exactly was going on.

And just as I expected, it was the almighty Alpha Marcus and his ever-ready mistress that kept posing as the perfect one.

“What do you want again, Marcus?” I said in a low tone as I shut the door close and faced him.

“That is no way to….” Sienna started, but I cut her off immediately.

“This is a family matter; stay out of it, please.”

Marcus was caught off guard; Sienna glanced at me and then went to the side to wait. "What happened with Lily Marcus?” I rephrased my question.

“Look I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional. Sienna insisted on driving the car….”

“Even when you know she doesn't have any driving experience?” My voice was rising already, but I didn't care.

“She didn't know that Lily was at the front waiting and lost control of the wheels”

I was tired of all these excuses, really I was.

“You know we could just end all these feigned concerns?" He looked at me confused, then asked, “What do you mean?”

“Let's get a divorce”

Raven’s pov“Why are you being so dramatic?” Jade spat out, her tone laced with hatred. “Your mate is so perfect for you. He does everything for you yet you always find a reason to complain,” She added, getting on my nerves. “You don't know anything that is going on here so just keep your mouth shut,” I responded, pulling my hair backwards. It has been a week of dragging this case with Marcus, and he finally agreed to sign the papers and reject me as his mate, but he insisted that everyone be present. In his words, he knew I was going to come back and that he wasn't going to accept me back, so he wanted everyone to be present so they wouldn't beg on my behalf a few months later. It was all a bunch of nonsense Jokes on him, I had no plans on setting foot in this place forever again. I already made my decision and there would never be any reason for me to change it. “Can you hear her mom? She is literally mocking me. It is not my fault that I haven't found my mate!” Jade respond

Raven’s POVI had just ended a call with Rokun asking me to be present at the Elder’s meeting the next day.I felt my blood boil in rage. “To what extent are you willing to go,” I whispered, biting my inner cheeks. I can’t believe Marcus was doing this. What was so hard in all of this?He should sign the damn papers and leave me the fuck alone! My first response was to give no as a response to them, but Rokun said that would lead to something worse and that it wasn’t advisable. Besides, I should not be the one hiding. Marcus should be hiding in shame after everything he has done. He completely disregarded the vows we made on our mating ceremony and treated me like a piece of trash. I endured a lot until I couldn’t anymore. ****I walked into the meeting room and saw that no one had arrived. Rokun rushed to me with a smile. “You are already looking way better than you were the last time you were here,” he whispered. My cheeks turned pink from his comment. “Stop flattering me.

  • His Broken Luna   Thirty Nine

Marcus POVI dropped my phone on the table with more force than I should have. Trying to keep my anger at bay, I poured myself a glass of water and downed it at a gulp. “Is this a joke?” I asked no one in particular, scoffing in disbelief. I refused to believe that Raven was doing this. What gave her the audacity to even do that? She must be feeling very confident to think that she had the right to do this. I needed to crush that confidence of hers. Even if it meant I had to do something sneaky, I was willing to do that. I wanted her to run to me, pleading for me to take her back. Divorce?!That was impossible! She had to stay here and take care of the things that she usually took care of. Who was going to do them now that she thought she had the right to leave?I hated that she was feeling too important. I was the important one. I was the Alpha. She should be the one chasing me around but it was the other way round. This has to be a joke!Just at that moment, I heard a knoc

Raven’s povI sauntered into my father’s home, wondering what this was all about. “Oh, she is here,” I heard my mother say as I walked into the house. “Raven, what nonsense have you been up to?” My father asked me, glaring. “Nonsense? I don’t understand you,” I responded, trying not to sound rude. The look my father gave me was that of anger mixed with irritation. I refuse to understand why he could despise me so much. “You know damn well what I am talking about. Why did you leave Marcus? And then some divorce nonsense,”Before I could open my mouth to respond, he raised his palm to stop me from talking. “I don’t want to listen to whatever you have to say. Head back to the pack house and perform your duties as his Luna,” He said. I scoffed in disbelief, turning my face the other way. “I performed my duties and expectations but Marcus has failed to do his part. He had broken the mate rule, he even brought another lady and a child. He treats Lily like dirt, I just can’t anymore

Marcus POVSienna strolled towards me with glasses of wine in her hands. She handed me one and moved in front of me. “You want me to get drunk while still in office?” I asked. “Not at all baby, just that every day of our life calls for celebration,” she whispered into my ear and winked before sitting in front of me. “And also, Raven is finally gone. My maid said she saw her packing her things earlier this morning.”“Wait, is that true? Isn't she back? I thought she would have been back already?” I asked Sienna. “Back my ass. She is gone for good. Or are you bothered about it?” She asked, raising her brows. I twirled around, not bothering to give her a response. My mind was too occupied with her shenanigans. “Argh, why are you making that face Marcus? Shouldn't you be happy about this?” She asked, raising her brows. “I have always hated that I had to act like a mistress when I was the main and now things are easy for us all. She has stepped down,” Sienna added. I kissed my te

Raven’s pov“Mama,” Lily rushed to me and hugged me. I took her in my arms, placing kisses on her cheeks. “We have somewhere to go today, are you excited?” I asked as we got into the car. “Are we going to the park, Mommy? I want to go to the park. Park!” Lily shrieked in my ear. “Not the park baby, you just got back from school. I am sure you are exhausted from all that learning,” I told her. I finally moved out of the pack, but I was staying in the apartment my parents gifted me when I got married to Marcus. We were going to be there till the divorce gets finalized and then I’ll know what to do next. I tapped my fingers anxiously on the steering wheel as I thought of how to explain to Lily that we were never going to return to the pack house. “I pray she understands this,” I whispered, biting my cheeks nervously. We finally got to the apartment and I could see the confusion on her face. “Why are we here, mummy?” She asked, staring at me with a confused gaze. “Our new house
