LOGINTwo today...just coming in with that one, two, punch, Kaia!
Isaiah POVKaia is looking at me with a serious expression, and I’m filled with dread. Did the judge not grant the divorce? How much longer will it take? I’m practically dying to claim Kaia. She looks at Mr. Fellman and shakes his hand. “Thank you, Mr. Fellman. We will be in touch within the next thirty days.”Thirty days! Is the divorce going to take another thirty days? I don’t think I can wait. She’s mine, and I want her now.“I’ll be in touch over the next thirty days. I will let you know when we are ready.” He replied and said goodbye. After he walked away, I looked at Kaia, “What is going on?”Sinclair even looks worried. Did she endure that beating, years of mistreatment, and her father’s yelling for nothing? She smiled gently, then widely. “I’m a free woman!” she said, holding up the paperwork. Sinclair squealed with happiness for Kaia, and I think my heart stopped. My mate is free of her asshole husband. I’m not waiting to mark her. She’s getting marked tonight, in our room a
Kaia POV Mr. Hollman stood up, “We believe those medical records are forgeries, your honor. My client states he did enter into this marriage, and they did become husband and wife…officially.” Judge Michael looked at me, “Mrs. Black, it’s a big deal to lie in my courtroom. Did you or did you not consummate your marriage with Mr. Black.” “We did not, your honor. You have the medical records in your possession. If you look closely, they are all doctors from the court approved list. Additionally,” I said, opening my folder and pulling out the medical records from today, “I had an additional appointment with Dr. Harlowe this morning just before this hearing. She is also on the court approved list, and she confirmed what all the other doctors have stated. I am still a virgin. She took is a step further and provided a photograph of that area of my body, still intact.” “Objection! Your honor, this cannot be admissible. We were not provided with this information before today.” Mr. Hollman a
Kaia POV The bailiff calls for everyone to rise as Judge Michael comes, walks in and takes his seat. He calls out the case. “Your Honor. This is the divorce case for Black vs. Black.” He said and handed the folder to the judge. “Be seated.” Judge Michael said. “Mrs. Black, you are seeking a divorce from your husband, Mr. Black. You allege that he cheated on you several times and abused you, resulting in a hospital visit. Is that correct?” “Yes, your honor.” “You also state in your claim that he violated the prenuptial agreement with his infidelity and abuse.” “Yes, your honor.” He nods and looks at my husband, “Mr. Black, are these accusations true?” “Your honor,” His attorney stands to speak. “The court is addressing Mr. Black directly, Mr. Hollman. Please wait to be addressed.” Judge Michael said. “My apologies, your honor.” Judge Michael looks at my husband and waits for his response. Finally, he starts speaking. “Your honor, yes, I made mistakes and I own them. I do not
Kaia POV All week, I have been keeping busy. I have been trying to keep my mind off of the court date. My husband is keeping his distance as the restraining order is in place. Mr. Fellman said the calls had stopped but that my husband enlisted a new attorney. “I won’t lie, that attorney is an asshole. He still won’t win with the evidence you presented. However, he may try to contest the prenuptial agreement.” “But the stipulations are clear in the agreement.” “I know. It’s a good thing you two never consummated the marriage. I took the liberty of setting up a doctor’s appointment for the morning of the court day. Since the case isn’t going to be heard until one in the afternoon, I booked it for nine in the morning. I’m sending you the address. It’s another doctor on the approved list. I would like you to get a signed affidavit from the doctor along with a copy of any medical records you can get before you leave that still shows that you are still a virgin. Can you do that?” “Yeah.
Isaiah POV “He was offering you an apartment. I’m not jealous, I’m territorial. I don’t share what’s mine.” I said. Kaia looked at me with a raised eyebrow. “You could hear the conversation from there?” “I may have the position of a beta, Kaia; but I was born an Alpha. Alpha’s have better hearing than most.” I said. “So, if I want a private conversation with Sinclair or Thalia, you would still hear it?” she asked. “Yeah. For the record, your conversations with Sinclair have always been interesting. You two act like sisters.” I said. “I wish we were sisters.” she said. “I would have liked to have had a sibling growing up.” “Well, we could always have a hundred pups and then you will never be bored.” I teased. Kaia laughed and it was carefree and happy. Something deep rooted in me though wants to see her by my side and pregnant with my pups. I keep that thought to myself for right now though. “Okay, so I’m going to see if Aiden and Thalia are back. They should be. If they are, t
Kaia POVI am sleeping in Isaiah’s arms. We showered together and then went back to his room to sleep. He wore me out and it didn’t take long for me to pass out before waking up the next morning. When I finally do wake up, Isaiah is watching me sleep. I rub my eyes and smile at him. “Good morning.” I said.He looks at me curiously. “Good morning, trouble.”“What? Why are you looking at me like that?” I asked. Is there something on my face?“Do you know you talk in your sleep?” He asked. My eyes widened. “Um, no. What was I saying?”“Some interesting stuff. I will tell you another day, though.” He said.I narrowed my eyes and asked, “Why not?”“Because I might lose control if I tell you. Trust me, I will tell you later. Hopefully by the end of the week.” He said. Now I’m curious and I want to start my interrogation when my phone rings. I turned to look at who was calling me and immediately sit up. Isaiah sees my reaction.“Who is it?” He asked.“My dad. Stay quiet, okay?” I said.He nod
Isaiah POV I fell asleep with Kaia in my arms and even though it was only for a couple of hours, it was the best sleep I’ve ever had. I really didn’t want to wake her up, but I know she said she had things to do today and the way I see it, the sooner it’s done, the sooner she comes home with me.
Isaiah POV I feel the pull of the mate bond. I also felt Kaia’s heart race. I know I was affecting her. I thought maybe we would have our moment. When our bodies were against one another, I felt the electric jolts. Then she pulled back and left. She said she had a long night of monitoring and sc
Conrad POV “Yeah, she’s coming dad. She said she isn’t in the area and would take a couple of days to get back.” Chad said. He’s useless to me. A disappointment of a son. Candy is more vicious. Then again, I have always known women to be more vicious than men. Still, he managed to get her to agr
Isaiah POV We got on the jet and as soon as we were alone, I looked at Sinclair. “Spill. What is going on? Who contacted you and why were you so damn shaken up?” I demanded. Sinclair closed her eyes and sighed. “It was my foster brother. He said that my foster dad wanted me home immediately. Whe
