Chapter seven

Marcelyn noticed how dark it was when she first opened her eyes wide inside the coffin.

She gathered her strength and yanked the cover covering the coffin's top that was obstructing the light.

She adjusted her vampire eyes so they could see through the darkness and then she took a look around.

She became immediately aware that she was in a cave. As Marcelyn rose from the corpse, she groaned in pain throughout her body.

She sank back into the coffin and gave her body time to adapt to the new stage it was on.

She pulled her body up, climbed out of the coffin, and stood straight once she judged that enough time had passed for her body to readjust.

Her body sagged as hunger overcame her.

She began to crawl on the floor using her arms and legs to prop her body forward.

When she emerged from the cave, she discovered that she was surrounded by rocks and dirt.

She grimaced as she considered how she could escape the area by crawling without causing any physical harm.
