His Endless Love

At Samantha Hospital, Andrea was anxiously waiting in the sonographer’s office, her fingers gently twisting the strap of her bag. The walls, which were painted a calming shade of blue, should have helped calm her nerves but it never did. It was an inviting backdrop for the emotions bubbling within her.

After weeks of tracking, worrying, and hoping, she was finally here for yet another scan.

Dr. Evans Hood, a kind-faced man in his late forties, welcomed her with a warm smile as he set to work with the ultrasound probe.

Within a few minutes, he was done. He set down the probe and began to clean it up.

“You’ve been monitoring your ovulation perfectly,” he said, his voice both gentle and encouraging as if celebrating her diligence. “ As you can see, your egg has ruptured, which means it’s ready for fertilization. If you meet your boyfriend within 24 hours, there’s a good chance you could conceive and probably have a son”

A momentary wave of excitement washed over Andrea, pushing aside her anxiety. A smile spread across her face, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

This was an important moment—a chance to meet the expectations that Anthony’s traditional parents had set for their relationship: to demonstrate their seriousness about the future by starting a family and having an heir.

Although it felt like a heavy responsibility, Andrea accepted it wholeheartedly because the love she had for Anthony outweighed the risk.

“Thank you, Dr. Hood,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude.

He handed her a wad of tissues. “Here, clean yourself up,”

Andrea nodded in appreciation and made her way to the restroom. After she was done cleaning herself up, she splashed cool water from the tap on her face and looked at her reflection in the mirror.

Three years ago, she met Anthony on that dreadful night, she was sent out of her home. Anthony brought her back to Thompson's family and forced her father to let her stay until she was done with her college.

Ever since Anthony has been supportive, and right now, it's her time to pay him back. If getting pregnant and having his child is what his parents wanted before approving their relationship then she is willing to do it for Anthony.

Her heart raced as the reality of what she was about to get into stuck her.

"You can do this, Andrea," she said and took a deep breath.

Instantly, she felt a strong sense of determination. This was her opportunity to show Anthony how much she loved him—a step toward building a beautiful life for both of them.

Rejoining Dr. Hood, she found him waiting with an encouraging smile.

“Make good use of this opportunity before your egg diminishes,” he said playfully; his kind gesture brought a smile to Andrea's face.

“Thank you, Dr. Hood" she said, "You don’t have to worry. Anthony has always wanted a baby, and I’m confident he’ll be glad to do this right away.”

“That’s great to hear,” Dr. Hood said, giving her shoulder a gentle pat. “Now, go on and make it happen.”

Andrea flashed him one last smile before heading toward the door.

As she stepped out into the crisp afternoon air, her mood was filled with anxiety. Hailing a taxi at the hospital gate, she directed the driver to take her downtown to the Grand Rivers mansion, where Anthony lived.

Though the short drive felt long, Andrea gazed out the window, her fingers drumming lightly against her bag.

She thought of months down the line -- how her life would be with her stomach heavy with pregnancy. She imagines Anthony by her side, showering her with affection. She could see him playfully offering her, her favorite chocolate, laughing as she teased him for his tender care. The thought filled her heart with warmth and excitement.

Would Anthony respond with the enthusiasm she hoped for? Would he rearrange his day to be with her? She believed he would—his kindness and care were constants in their relationship.

The taxi pulled up to the grand gates of the Rivers estate. After paying the fare, Andrea stepped out, taking in the impressive sight of the mansion. Its towering columns and manicured gardens spoke to the family’s wealth and tradition.

Walking up the path, Andrea took a deep breath. This wasn’t just about the possibility of conceiving a child—it was about affirming her love, commitment, and her place in Anthony’s life.

Yet, a gentle flicker of doubt lingered in her mind, an unspoken concern that perhaps this step alone wouldn’t be enough to secure their future. What if Anthony’s family expected even more?

Shaking off those worries, Andrea squared her shoulders and knocked on the sturdy wooden door. Determined to face whatever came next with courage.

For Anthony, she would do anything to make him happy, and if creating a family with him would make him happy, then she would do it. Not only for him but for herself as well.

She tapped at the door the second time and waited patiently for someone to open it.
