Marriage is a sacred union as she always reads in the books. Why does her own marriage have to be the expectational one?

Being a maid or slave was much more comfortable than being a wife to this inconsiderate monster. She could not fathom what he exactly meant by a dummy wife, also, she had no idea where she was being taken in his private jet.

Whereas, Daniel was going through too much for the Romanos. He does not entertain some stupid ass concepts like marriage and all. But he had to do it for something larger and better. After a few hectic days and stuff, he was quite weary that needed to be fixed.

Daniel rose from his seat and walked past Miliani to the mini bar cum resting place with a comfy sofa. He proceeded to take out a rock glass and was about to pour himself a shot of neat whiskey when the flight attendant stepped out of nowhere, veiled the dividing curtains and offered her help. Daniel left it to her and spread his legs wide apart resting himself on the sofa.

He chugged down the shot of whiskey in one go before ordering one more. That flight attendant bit her red tinted lower lip before bending down near Daniel's feet to collect the empty glass with the tray. Her short pencil skirt clung extremely tight on her heavy ass and the front three buttons of her shirt were intentionally undone to serve him a proper view of her double D-cupped assets. Her eyes were on Daniel's expressionless, cold face, asking for some mercy to let her have the opportunity to please him. Daniel smirked a bit at her desperation to be used. That flight attendant baited her shiny fake lashes and sneaked her hand around his muscular thigh. She slowly but sensually kept moving her hand all the way to his crotch, her long nails were about to catch a hold of the leather of his belt when he suddenly slapped her hand away.

"Do you have ribbons by any chance?" Daniel asked out of the blue. That flight attendant shyly smiled at herself before agreeing and getting up. Within a few moments, she came back with a roll of duct tape in her hand.

"Sorry, there is no ribbon inside the plane, sir but you can use these tapes," she, feeling exhilarated informed. Her mind was fluttering thinking Daniel found her worthy enough to not just fuck her mouth but also unveil some of his kinks to her, her luck was on the clouds it seemed.

"This will do," Daniel coldly said, taking it from her and heading out of the bar, perplexing the attendant behind.

Miliani finally lifted her face to meet the unyieldingly hard gaze of Daniel who grabbed her hands uninformedly that were encircled around her legs.

"Need to use the washroom?" he asked confusing her. She shook her head negatively not looking at his face anymore. But she could not hold up with her attitude a moment longer as she felt something sticky being pasted on the delicate skin of her wrists. She, with tear filled eyes looked up at Daniel who was holding both of her wrists in one tight hold and tying them together with the duct tape.

"W-what!" Miliani murmured through her sobs, trying to unclasp her hand, but he did not budge.

"I told you to stop with the fucking whining but you won't heed," he indifferently husked continuing with his cruel acts frightening the timid girl even more. Her incessant crying grated on his nerves at that point, hindering his intention to get some peace and quiet. He had warned her previously, he would not repeat the same damn thing twice. Patience was the one flaw in his otherwise perfect beastly nature.

He tied her wrists together with the duct tape, pulling them tightly to her front, then cut a strip to seal her lips and finally get rid of the unwanted noises. Cupping her face in the curve of his palm, he looked at her face intently. Her swollen eyes were brimming with tears, fresh drops of tears decorated her soft cheeks like some dainty pearls, her luscious, soft lips plumping forward due to his firm hold .. so pathetically beautiful. Daniel could not help tracing the calloused pad of his thumb slowly over her trembling lips.

The sight before him almost compelled him to take a hold of it and fancy the essence of her fragility.. he pondered how her lips might taste stained with pain and tears, crying like a frail doll shattered by despair. But he quickly pushed away those unwelcoming more over useless musings and pasted the tape over her mouth, sealing her from making any sound.

Daniel hunched back on his seat, resting his head on the soft edge of it. Finally, those annoying sounds had been muffled. He shot a gaze back at her helplessness before closing his eyes... her dress was completely wrinkled because of her curling and the girl was looking an absolute mess. He needed to fix it before landing. The dons would be welcoming them at their private runway.

"Fix it," Daniel ordered the flight attendant motioning towards his newly wedded wife before they were about to land.

Miliani had already changed into a solid black A-line dress as Daniel instructed. That flight attendant annoyingly batted her eyes towards her before reaching for her unkempt hair and arranging it. She let Miliani's long hair slickly cascade down her back and set it with a spray. Some concealer was blended to balance the puffiness of her eyes and cheeks, and finally, the touch of a pink lip tint concluded her look. In contrast to how much she despised Miliani for interrupting her golden chance with her irritating crying, she was magnificent with her makeup skills.

Daniel was still in the same attire as before, jet black from head to toe. In his twisted way, he wanted to convey the message through his choice of attire how deeply he was mourning over Tristian Romano's death, even though he was the one who did not hesitate a microsecond before pulling the trigger.

It was already evening when they reached their destination. The Dons had sent their second in command to personally escort the would-be Don and his wife to Lorenzo Romano's mansion. A Rolls Royce surrounded by multiple bodyguards came into Daniel's view while descending through the stairs. Daniel halted at the last stair, waiting for Miliani. As Miliani stepped down his level, he grabbed her hand and tilted his face to her level.

"Do not speak unless you are spoken to and dare not step out of my sight," Daniel commanded her in a low, authoritative voice, to which she meekly nodded, which went absolutely unnoticed by him. Miliani found it difficult to match her tired steps with Daniel's long strides but she did not dare speak.

Her delicate innocence fueled the devil's dark ecstasy, his eyes gleaming with something unspoken as he savoured the doom he had wrought upon her.

The action stretched unnecessarily for minutes until Mili felt it was pressing against her chest. Mili could physically sense that it was not going to end well! "You brought this fucking thing into your room!" he said at last. Mili's lips parted as she fought against the guilt rising in her chest, "I didn't even think there was anything to doubt. Also, it didn't mean anything to me." "That's the problem," he snapped, "You don't see danger where it exists," he cut in. He was aware of her naivety... He never for a moment doubted his wife's intentions, but still, it was a hard pill for Daniel Knight to swallow so quickly. One thing he was determined to do... That was to make Jovanno pay the price. Daniel moved towards his nervous wife. "You felt someone watching you," he continue

Enough that he could see the fear return to her beautiful eyes. She held the fabric of his shirt. "Jovanno… he said…" Her voice faltered as she spoke, "He said Lucia told him." "Lucia told him?" Daniel quietly repeated. "Yes, in the garden..." Mili's fingers tightened in the fabric of Daniel's shirt like she didn't... She couldn't believe it fully but the fact that Daniel went still and didn't trust it either made her feel a pang of jealousy. "But there's more ..." She whispered. "I'm listening," Daniel spoke calmly. She hesitated. Her lips parted, then closed again. When she finally spoke, the words came in a frightened rush, "He… he said something else. Something terrible," Her fingers trembled where they clutched his shirt. "He said he had seen me. While I was sleeping in my previous be

A heavy flower planter from the patio flew through the floor-to-ceiling window, followed immediately by two dark figures in tactical gear. The guards, who had been stationed at the end of the mansion's perimeter had approached the closed door. One was trying to force the door where the other man broke apart the glass. Miliani was startled. "Get away from her!" a voice roared past the wall. Jovanno's breath hitched sharply. The vile confidence that had twisted his face moments ago vanished, replaced by raw panic. His grip loosened. Mili didn't waste the second. She drove her knee into his torso with everything she had. Jovanno staggered back while cursing and barely kept his balance. Mili scrambled upright. She placed her robe properly with trembling fingers as she rushed toward the door. Her other hand fumbled desperately with the lock. "You bitch..."

Usually, at least one maid lingered around the house at this hour. Today... there was no one. Descending the stairs, she approached the door cautiously and peeked through the glass panel. Her brows knit in mild surprise, "Jovanno…?" She opened the door halfway. Jovanno stood there with an easy smile, hands clasped behind his back like an obedient child. He was dressed neatly and looked familiar as usual. "I hope I'm not intruding," he said quiet softly. "I rang several times." "I... No," Mili replied, confused more than alarmed. "I just… didn't expect anyone," She glanced behind him instinctively. "Is everything okay?" He nodded gently. "Yes. I was just spending some free time in the garden. Lucia mentioned you were alone today." That name tightened something in her chest. Mili

"Daniel…?" she whispered before opening her eyes and then she sat up in a rush. Panic surged through her before sleep could fully leave her eyes. The pillow beside her still carried his scent, but his warmth was gone already. She threw the covers aside, hastily slipping into her robe with trembling fingers, not even bothering to tie it properly as she rushed out of the bedroom. Her bare feet hit the cold marble floor as she ran toward the hall. And then her eyes found him. Daniel stood near the widely opened door, already dressed up as usual, phone in one hand and Lucia was in front of him. They were speaking softly about something. Mili's breath hitched. Her heart slammed so hard at the scene that it hurt. For a second, she just stood there, frozen, watching the scene she had feared all night. He's ready to leave. He's wit

    • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Mili couldn't help but clutch the door of their bedroom as she ran back, driven only by sheer helplessness. She couldn't stand there anymore… not when her eyes were already damp with tears. She muffled her sobs as best as she could, but the moment her feet crossed the threshold of the bedroom, they spilled out recklessly. She latched the door behind her and walked toward the mirror. A broken question rose from her aching heart as she looked at her reflection. 'When they got married, there was no love… and now, when they finally love each other, there is no place left for their marriage.' She loved her husband more than anything in this world, and she wasn't afraid to claim him anymore. But over the past few days, Lucia had subtly made her understand how Daniel's thoughtless, impulsive act of saving that maid's lover from the Romanos had exposed Mr Serrano's hidden loyalty to the Knights - a loyalty he had kept buried under his skin for
