“Seventy five percent?” One of the partnering CEOs, a bald man possibly in his fifties, exclaimed.

“If it flops, it could lead to a high loss ma'am.” A guy with graying hair (though he looked no more than thirty) shook his head.

“Too much you're placing at risk.” The guy beside me interjected, brows furrowed. “Flopping would mean dragging us down the mud.”

“That's just stupidity if you asked me.” Another said, a red haired female with a gown too tight, I wondered if she could breath in it.

Instinctively, I was about to stand up for Chloe, when she spoke, “which is why I didn't ask your opinion, Miss Sanalvi.”

The red haired, now known as Sanalvi, stared wide-eyed, obviously shocked by the retort.

Even I was surprised. Certainly the good type though.

My eyes stayed glued to my ex-wife, watching how she stood, composed, shoulders straightened, head held high, chest puffed slightly.

Damn, this woman was not backing out any second from now.

And my goodness, I'd be a goat if I didn't admi

~ Nora ~That did not just happen. It actually didn't, right? I mean, did it?My body trembled as I stayed seated, fury erupting through me. I could be sure steam was pouring right out of my ears.No one seemed any better.Dad stood by the wall, hands in a fist as though he could punch anyone who came near.Mom wouldn't stop yabbing beside me on why this was the most embarrassing day of her life.Amber's legs seemed incapable of stopping her pacing, while Finn just stood by a corner, seemingly relaxed as he pocketed a hand.Sam and Tina, on the other hand, held no emotion. Both just standing beside each other.I didn't care though. In fact, I didn't care about anyone.Just that Dale and Chloe actually did that. They both actually did that.It all seemed so… planned. Like they'd perfectly structured it.Everything had happened so smoothly that I had to be sure it was a planned act.Meaning they were playing me. They both saw me to be some stupid idiot they could use.“Oh goodness, this

The moment we got out of the car and into his house, Dale's arm reached for me, pulling me close.“Did I ever tell you how beautiful you look?” He asked, voice low, as he stared down at me. “Not today.” My voice had dropped, matching the silence surrounding us.“Well you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.” He matched my tone, giving my lip a small peck. “You're just saying that because you're happy and you want to have sex.” “That's not true.” He defended lowly. “Okay, yes, I do want to have sex, but that has got no influence on what I said. There's no one as beautiful as you are, and I say this because I've seen you. With or without makeup. Even when your hair’s all messy, or you just finished crying, you're still beauty straight from the sky.”I couldn't help my smile. “Well thanks then.”He leaned in for another kiss, pulling back slightly, though our lips hovered over each other. “And you've got the softest lips I've ever tasted. Truth be told, I don't think, in all my

~ Chloe ~I'd stared at the invitation card three times before deciding what to do.I wasn't going to live in regrets. It was better I risked all my aura than having to live years wishing I'd done that.Which was why I dressed as nicely as I could, heading straight to the wedding hall after ignoring Emery's loud protest on why this was the most stupid idea anyone had ever made.Three guards had tagged along in another car. Just in case things didn't end pretty. The moment I got out of the car and walked into the hall with the guards, there was zero but of nervousness in me.All I felt was confidence. The type I didn't know where it came from.Whatever Nora had been saying was none of my business, my main concern was the guy beside her, dressed very much like a groom. Some guards had attempted to stop me, but with a raised hand, they didn't, obviously realizing who I was and what could be done to them.Soon, I was in front of them. The words left me naturally, filled with nothing but c

~ Dale ~My wedding had finally arrived. The day most people anticipate, but me… I could not feel any more numb than I already did.Not only was I getting married to someone I'd begun to despise, but I was marrying her because I had no choice. And there was someone else.Someone my entirety wanted to be with. Someone I would love to have close by at the moment.Once again, Chloe leaving my house that day came to view, guilt landing on me.Would she really leave me? How would I live without her? How would I live the rest of my life without the one person my heart truly yearned for.“Hey man.” Sam walked in, dragging my attention to him.As expected, he was my best man, dressed neatly in the gray tux. “Hey.” My gaze averted back to my reflection in the mirror.Anyone who saw me would see a groom, straight out of the oven. The well ironed black tux stayed firmly neat on me, especially with the gold cuffs. My hair was packed in a bun to the back, giving a handsome look. But dammit, I had

~ Chloe ~“I haven't heard from Cole in a while.” Emery said as she invited herself to my room, Donald hopping beside her.“Mummy.” He rushed to jump on the bed, sitting beside me.Instinctively, I gave his hair a pat, though my mind stayed elsewhere. My mind was still in bed with Dale. Under the shower with him.I figured even though Nora had come in suddenly, I wasn't feeling guilty. Because I hadn't been hiding it in the first place. But something also left me conflicted. The fact that I absolutely loved him, but would not, ever be with a married man.I just didn't find myself doing such.“Chloe.” Emery's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.“Hmm?”“I've been talking to you for crying out loud, what on earth’s on your mind?” Her hand moved to her hip.“Nothing.” At that moment, I wasn't interested in her unnecessary snapping.“Well I was asking if you've heard from Cole, I'm getting worried.” She had a frown on.Cole.I recalled our last meeting and couldn't help my head shake. “No

~ Nora ~All day, I'd been frustrated.I mean, who wouldn't be if you were in my shoes. Where you have to watch your fiance prefer the presence of that nonentity over you.Over me!I was his fiancee after all, not the dumbass bitch. It had taken much efforts to not pull out all the hair on her head. I had to swallow my anger and think of the fact Dale had been involved in an accident. So, here I was now, with a bag of healthy sweets to help him heal faster, on my way to his place since the hospital had said he'd been discharged.I mean, no matter what he was still the love of my life, and even though Chloe was trying to force herself on him, I knew he would still figure out that he loved me and not her.Right now though, we might have to postpone the wedding. At least till he was okay and healthy enough for a wedding. The car came to a halt in front of his mansion, so I got down, excitement falling on me as I made my way to the building.Happiness was natural everytime I got to see h
