Chapter 1
Elena POV
I stood outside Damien Kane’s office door with my heart already racing. The stack of files felt heavy against my full breasts. I could hear them clearly through the door. The woman’s loud moans. The sound of skin slapping hard against skin. Damien’s low grunts as he took her.
I knew I should wait. But he had messaged me five minutes ago to bring the contracts immediately.
So I knocked once. No answer. I knocked again. Still nothing but her cries.
Taking a deep breath, I turned the handle and stepped inside.
The sight hit me like a punch.
Damien had the thin model bent over his massive oak desk. Her skirt was pushed up around her waist. Her panties were on the floor. He was buried deep inside her, thrusting hard and relentlessly. His powerful hips drove forward again and again. The woman moaned loudly, her hands gripping the edge of the desk, her face twisted in pleasure. Neither of them stopped. Neither of them even looked embarrassed.
They didn’t care that I was there.
Damien glanced at me for half a second, his eyes dark with lust, then kept fucking her like I was invisible.
His shirt was open, his muscular chest glistening with sweat. His pants were down just enough. The wet, filthy sounds filled the entire office. The smell of sex hung thick in the air.
My chubby cheeks burned with shame and jealousy. I am curvy, soft, plush in all the places the model was skinny and tight. My wide hips, thick thighs, full breasts, and round belly suddenly felt too much.
I clutched the files tighter against my chest, trying to hide how my nipples had hardened under my blouse. My body betrayed me even now. Heat pooled between my legs as I watched the man I secretly loved fucking someone else right in front of me.
I had worked for him for four years. I had seen this scene too many times. But it never stopped hurting. And it never stopped turning me on in the worst way possible.
The model cried out louder, her body shaking as she came hard. Damien thrust a few more times, then pulled out with a low groan. He didn’t even kiss her.
He just stepped back, breathing heavily, and zipped up his pants. The woman stood up on shaky legs, fixed her skirt, and gave me a quick, superior smirk as she walked past me and out the door.
I stayed frozen near the entrance. My soft thighs pressed together. My heart hammered.
Damien was still shirtless. Sweat glistened on his hard abs and chest. He looked like pure sin.
He ran a hand through his messy dark hair and reached for his phone just as it started ringing.
He answered it with an annoyed tone.
“What?”
I could hear Victor Kane’s voice clearly. The conversation was short, cold, and brutal. Damien had one week to get married. One week to find a wife and make it look real. Or he would lose his position as CEO, his controlling shares in Kane Global, and his entire place as heir.
Damien’s face darkened. His jaw clenched tight.
“Understood,” he bit out before ending the call.
He slammed the phone down so hard the screen cracked.
“Fuck!” he cursed loudly.
Then he turned and looked straight at me.
His gaze locked on me. Something dangerous flashed in his eyes. A slow, calculating look crossed his face as he took in my curvy body.
My chubby cheeks. My full breasts pressing against the files. My soft belly and wide hips under the tight skirt.
He stepped around the desk. Still shirtless. Still smelling like sex and the other woman. My pulse raced faster. I felt tiny in front of him, yet my body responded with a rush of forbidden heat.
“My dad wants me to get a wife within a week,” he said. His voice was low and rough.
“And I think I have found a person that will do that.” He pointed right at me. “You, Elena.”
The words hit me hard. I froze completely.
My heart hammered so loud I could barely think. The air felt thick and heavy. The scent of sex still lingered all around us. Damien kept walking toward me until he stopped just inches away.
He towered over me. Heat rolled off his bare skin. His eyes moved slowly down my body, taking in every soft curve.
I suddenly hyper aware of how different I was from the model he had just fucked. My plush thighs. My round ass. My generous breasts. My chubby figure that I had always felt insecure about in his world of perfect, skinny women.
Yet he was looking at me like I was an option. Like I was the solution.
“I…” My voice came out shaky.
He didn’t smile. He just watched me with those dark eyes.
“One year contract,” he continued, voice dropping lower. “You become my public wife. Big payout when it ends. I keep my private life exactly as it is. You get financial security and a chance to help your family. And I get the one woman who knows every dirty part of me and has never sold me out.”
My mind spun wildly. Four years of loving him in silence. Four years of watching him with woman after woman. Four years of burying my desires while I picked up the pieces of his reckless nights. This offer was dangerous. It would break my heart into pieces.
But it was also the closest I would ever get to the man I loved.
Damien stepped even closer. His bare chest was almost touching me. I could see every drop of sweat on his skin. Smell his scent mixed with sex. My thighs squeezed together. Heat flooded my core.
“Say something, Elena,” he murmured.
I looked up at him. My chubby cheeks felt on fire. My soft body trembled slightly. I wanted to run. I wanted to scream. I wanted him to pull me close and kiss me.
“I… I need time to think,” I whispered.
But deep down I already knew my answer.
I would say yes. I loved him. Madly. Desperately.
Damien didn’t move back. He stayed right there, so close I could feel his breath on my forehead. His fingers lightly brushed my arm. The touch sent sparks through my entire body.
“Think fast,” he said quietly. “I have only one week to get married.”
I stood there frozen. Heart hammering wildly. Body aching with need and fear.
The scent of what he had just done still filled the office. The weight of his unexpected proposal pressed down on me like a promise and a threat at the same time.
And I knew nothing would ever be the same again.
Chapter 57Damien’s POVThe waiting room was deliberately plain. No audience. Just a table, two chairs on one side for Marcus and me, and one chair opposite for Daniel Reed. Legal sat in the corner with a recorder running. I wanted everything on record.Reed was brought in looking thinner than the last time I had seen him in the hospital bed after the accident. He sat down carefully.“I already said the child is mine,” he began. “I already said I pushed Sierra toward you. What more do you want?”“I want the answers,” I said. “Start with my mother.”Reed’s mouth tightened. For a second he looked like a man measuring which version of the truth might still protect him.Elena’s POVI stayed at the penthouse, but the waiting was its own kind of weight.Damien had left early. He had kissed me and promised to be back home early.I cleaned the kitchen that was already clean and tried not to watch the clock, because I was already missing him.Damien’s POVReed finally spoke.“Your mother was
Chapter 56Damien’s POVThe house was quiet for the first time in weeks, but my mind was not.Sierra was gone. The false DNA results had been broken. Daniel Reed had already admitted the child was his and that he had pushed the claim onto me. That part was finished. What remained was the question that refused to sit still. Why had Reed been in the car with my mother the night of the accident?I called Marcus before sunrise.“I want everything on Reed’s connection to my mother,” I said. “Not only Sierra. Her. How long he was around. What he wanted. Why was he in that car?”Marcus was silent for a second. “That trail is quieter than the one with Sierra. But it exists. Give me a few hours.”I hung up and stood at the window of the penthouse, the city still dark. Elena came up behind me and rested her forehead against my back.“You’re already in it,” she said softly.“I have to be. Sierra was the weapon. Reed aimed at her. I need to know what he was doing with my mother before that.”She
Chapter 55Damien’s POVThe wait for the police was short and tense.Sierra stood near the entrance with her suitcase, the last of her denial hardening into brittle silence. Elena remained further inside the living room, arms folded, watching without interference. I kept the documents ready on the table. There was no need for raised voices anymore. The next part would be handled by process. When the intercom buzzed, I answered immediately.“Officers are here,” security said.“Send them in.”Two officers stepped into the penthouse a few minutes later. Professional. Direct. I explained the situation cleanly falsified DNA results, deception used to gain entry and remaining presence in the home, supporting documentation already compiled. Sierra tried once to reframe the scene as a domestic misunderstanding. It did not hold. The papers were too specific. The timeline was too clear. After a brief exchange, they escorted her out.Elena’s POVFor a long moment after she left, neither of us mo
Chapter 54Damien’s POVSierra’s face held for one more second. Then the crack showed.“No,” she said. “That’s not possible.”“It is,” I answered. “And it’s documented.”Elena remained beside me, silent and steady. Sierra’s eyes moved from my face to the phone in my hand, then back again, as if searching for a way to push the moment back into the version of reality she had controlled for weeks.“You’re wrong,” she said, louder now. “Those tests were done through proper clinics. You were there. You signed. You saw the reports.”“I saw what you paid for,” I said. “Both times.”“That is a lie.” Her voice sharpened. “You’re trying to crawl out of responsibility because your wife can’t handle the fact that you have a child with someone else.”Elena didn’t rise to it. She didn’t need to. The ground under Sierra’s story was already gone.I placed the printed summary Marcus had sent on the table between us.“Earlier clinic records. Seven months, not six. Payment trails to both testing chains.
Chapter 53Damien’s POVMorning came with a different kind of focus.I dressed without disturbing Elena more than necessary and left before Sierra could appear with another practical request. The documents Marcus had given me sat locked in my bag. Seven months, not six. Daniel Reed. A story adjusted to fit me cleanly. Today I intended to start breaking that story down in the open.Elena met me at the door as I reached for my keys.“You’re going out,” she said.“Yes.”“Be careful.” She saidI nodded once and left.Elena’s POVThe house felt altered the moment Damien was gone.Sierra came into the kitchen later than usual, one hand on her stomach, eyes already assessing the quiet.“He left early,” she said.“He had things to handle.”Her gaze lingered on me. “The temperature in this house changed overnight. I’m not imagining it.”“No,” I answered. “You’re not.”I didn’t offer more. For the first time since she arrived, I was not the one carrying the weaker position in the room. The kn
Chapter 52Damien’s POVI stepped out of the bedroom before calling Marcus.Marcus answered on the first ring.“Talk,” I said.“I back checked everything,” Marcus replied. “Her timeline, the clinics, the early records, the address history. She didn’t start this story with the clinic that produced your first DNA result. Before that, she attended a different facility under clearer intake notes. According to those records, the pregnancy was already further along than she later claimed.”I stayed still in the hallway. “How much further?”“Seven months, not six. The earlier dating scans put her roughly four weeks ahead of the version she gave you. She shortened the timeline when she came to you. It made the match with your last encounter with her look cleaner.”The implication settled hard. “What else?”Marcus exhaled. “She wasn’t living alone before she moved into your house. Building logs, payment trails, and a recurring visitor all point to the same man. Daniel Reed.”The name locked ev
