Raphaela stared at her phone in shock. Perhaps it was the sudden occurrence that kept her in shock; she just heard of his traitorous act the previous day and now before she even had time to process the damage he had caused her reputation, he was murdered; or perhaps, it was the gruesome image of his battered corpse that rendered her speechless but she was used to violence.
The sound of her front door opening roused her from her shocked state and in that moment, waiting for whomever was entering to show up, she imagined it to be Lorenzo.
Julien walked into her living room.
Her heart sank.
His eyes... She stared at them; the fierceness, the nonchalancy, the blank stare, the too much difference; her heart sank even more.
She waited until he came to her on the long blue sofa and he pecked her as usual on her right cheek, lingering for a second too long and he sat.
"You weren't supposed to." She spoke first, trying to contain her anger and
"Tell me what you're feeling." "I feel trust, I trust you" she answered, "I feel a bit disappointed but I trust you... and I feel love..." She paused in her tracks, causing him to stop also and looking up at him with eyes filled with adoration, she finished, "I love you." The air between them crackled with tension, the branches of trees around them and the leaves kept swaying, the birds in the bright blue sky kept hovering around, the wind blew around them gently but none of them moved. It was a moment in time, a moment where two fragile hearts were bared to each other. To think that the heart he had thought could never truly love romantically was pounding so furiously in his chest, tamed by this gentle rose. He actually had no idea what to do. Valentina suddenly laughed, her cheeks rosy and bright. "You look so strange." She said, still laughing. She then grabbed his hand and forced them to continue walking. He let her take th
"Don't go." Julien ordered. "You think I won't win the award?" Raphaela asked. "You would have won if Director Shaw had not spread those scandalous rumors about you. Now I feel like murdering him all over again." Raphaela glanced at him, dressed in a loose sweat shirt and baggy pants with an apron over them, turning whatever in a pot. "Killing is a hard thing to do but when you do it, it becomes easy to do over and over again." "I promised you." He reminded, turning down the heat. "You would never talk like this." Raphaela put down her phone, folding her arms. She was afraid. "You don't like it?" "I hate it." Silence. Julien glanced back at her. She shook her head. Something strange had happened. She had not seen Julien's soft handsome features but Lorenzo's hard piercing ones. Was she hallucinating again? "I'll protect you and your dignity at all costs." "Julien, I don't care abo
Just as she was about to give in, to let herself make the mistake she knew they would both eventually regret... He fell. His hand gripping her face turned into hot burning coals and he fell, down to the ground, his words disappearing into thin air.She followed, her hands and eyes running over his face."Julien..." She called frantically, checking his pulse. Her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach when she felt nothing."No... Julien... Julien..."There was no pulse, no heartbeat, nothing. He lay there, his eyes closed; a shadow of a man.She cried."Julien... Julien!"A loud banging resounded through the whole house. She hugged Julien's still body, confused and crying. In her daze, she could see uniforms... batons... dogs...And she was sure she heard..."K.T. police unit. Miss Raphaela, we have a warrant for your arrest..."Before she vanished with Julien in her arms.
He breathed in deeply, looking out to the thick forests surrounding them, just as a strong force suddenly locked his neck between their arm.His confused brain was suddenly frozen in shock."Don't move." The supposedly unconscious Lorenzo whispered threateningly. He blinked rapidly, trying to understand the situation.Lorenzo had just been on the floor a second ago. Was it all a pretense?Had Lorenzo all along been controlled by the mysterious Alpha?Antonio was ready to commit bloody murder. Lorenzo was never one to be controlled except by the one woman he allowed but now he had become a toy for some ambitious Alpha wolf. But Antonio himself was up for the task.He breathed in deeply, calming himself and forcing himself to stay still."What do you want?" He asked calmly, his eyes scanning the environment for any strange activity. No answer."You didn't do all this just to end everyone's life, did you? Ther
The day had already given them the worst; from their Alpha's strange problem to being attacked with Valentina having no idea where her parents where. Now a more than weird event was taking place.Raphaela's eyes bulged out as she stared at the fading skin of Julien Hugo. The cave was naturally dark but they had made a little fire that dimly lit up the room.Antonio was also perplexed. He slowly stretched out his hand and tried to touch the part of Julien's hand that was almost non-existent but his hand passed through air."No." Raphaela muttered, doing the same thing but her hands also passed through air."What..." Valentina shook her head, looking from Antonio to Raphaela and back to Julien.Raphaela stared intently at Julien's fading skin. Wasn't he human? She had been with him for six years and she had never suspected anything weird about him, never seen anything out of the ordinary but...She had heard that there were other
Lorenzo and Antonio got back to the Silvermoon pack in due time. The air stank of blood and burnt flesh and death and the environment was eerie. Like an abandoned war zone; collapsed houses, some still burning; fallen trees and burnt bodies lying around.Death, Antonio thought, a tortured death was the only punishment fitting for Lorenzo's father. It was a bit difficult to detect where life still reigned but they finally sniffed them out, at the slave house.Lorenzo and Antonio slowly walked up to the house guarded by men armed with bows and poisoned arrows. Those men, Lorenzo soon realized were his slaves, slaves from Twilight pack. The men did nothing as they came up to them and entered through the open doors of the beaten house. The rooms that originally housed the Twilight slaves now housed the Silvermoon pack members, those that weren't killed. The Silvermoon pack perked up at the scents of their Alpha and Beta; some had happy relieved
It began with a new beginning.Antonio told the story to the pack but they never could guess who the characters were and then he gave them a choice; to leave or to stay. Because they all now realized that what they all needed was a fresh start. They all left, not a single one stayed and Antonio was happy for it.Then he went off to find the lonely man who was knelt beside the mother he killed and he picked him up and they left to find the girl, now a woman. When she heard, she broke. Not a physical breaking, not one with a visible sign but she broke because her entire life had been built on that one hope that was now shattered so she broke, shattered into pieces. It was time for a new beginning.Valentina chose her new beginning to begin with him, Antonio and he chose his with her.But despite everything, the man and the girl, now a woman, chose their new beginning with each other and then an inbetweener.Because very st
Three months later...'Actress Raphaela has been acquitted of all charges of murder. Remember that three months before, she was suspected of the murder of Director Shaw after he had a series of misunderstandings with she and her manager, Julien Hugo and he was murdered shortly after. She was thought guilty after she escaped her home when the police barged in with a search warrant. It has been three months of back and forth but finally, she has been pronounced innocent and has been freed from all charges. We'll take a short break and when we return, we'll dish out more entertainment gossip.'Lorenzo switched the TV off. He stared at it with his usual blank intimidating stare before he got up to put finishing touches to the late night dinner he had set out for two.His apartment was small and neat, one of the many apartments in the six storey building where he lived, a good distance away from Princeton University where he schooled.
