Chapter 31: Pretentious Apology

The bell rang in the Psychology class and I gathered my things on the table. I picked up my books and brought them closer to my chest before going down the aisle of the room.

"Miss Preston," Sir Richards called, pondering on his desk.

I turned to him, confusion drawn across my face as I moved in front of him. The strap of my sling bag was falling down from my shoulder, as I quickly pulled it up with a sheepish smile.

"Yes, sir?" I asked, apathetic.

"Look, Miss Preston, I don't mean to judge you, but Caleb Heory told me you haven't been teaching him. He was failing badly in my class, you should take responsibility," he said.
