Daniel was seated on the barstool of our kitchen area, as I rummaged inside the fridge to search for drinks. I could sense him watching me from behind, probably because he was now wondering about the things I said inside Mom's bedroom.
Grabbing the iced tea, I pushed the fridge close and faced Daniel. He watched me as I approached the bar, placing the glass pitcher on the counter. I took two glasses from the stainless holder and put it in front of us. Pouring the beverage in them, I slid the glass forward to Daniel and tugged an appreciative smile.
