Chapter 55: Confession

Daniel drove through the wide driveway of our house, as I clung to his leather jacket and shifted slightly in my seat so our bodies wouldn't collide. Once he'd pulled up in front of the main door, we immediately got off. Taking the helmet out of my head, I handed it to Daniel who was now gazing at our house in awe.

"You live here?" he asked.

I chuckled, slightly shaking my head in disbelief.

"I work here as a maid," I joked, causing him to furrow his brows. He didn't respond to what I said, as I heaved a sigh and ran a hand at the back of my neck. "Please don't ask an obvious question next time."

"Why did you choose to live in your apartment if you have this huge mansion?" he asked, curiously.

"You don't need to know."
