Emma POV She slammed the door as she stormed out of Logan’s office. She refused to hear any more of Logan’s lecturing. She was tired and all she wanted to do was take a shower and go to bed. She closed the bathroom door and turned on the water to as hot as she could stand it. Emma POV It was finally time for the next blue moon ceremony where she would ask the Moon Goddess to let Dylan be the Alpha of the Shadow Moon pack. Emma POV They stood under the moonlight, surrounded by their family, waiting for the blue moon to reach its highest peak. Once it did, she would make her plea to the Moon Goddess. Logan POV He stood there, looking at the body of the prisoner, lying in a pool of his own blood. He didn’t understand why this wolf would take his own life. The guards told him that the guy had clawed his own throat out and by the time they had gotten into the cell, it was too late, he was already losing too much blood. “Alpha, what do you want us to do with the body?” one of the guards asked. “What for nightfall and take it in the woods and burn it.” Logan answered. “Yes Alpha.” the guard replied. “Make sure nobody sees you. Emma POV The visit with Morgan resulted in many tears being shed. As soon as the cry fest started, as Nathan called it, he disappeared. When he finally got brave enough to come back and face two severely hormonal pregnant women, he brought ice cream. They sat there eating ice cream and talked. She forgot how good it felt to hang out with Morgan and just talk. She wasn’t ready to go home yet, she didn’t want to hear the bad news that Logan was going to tell her. Emma POV They all spent the next few months training and doing everything they could to prepare for the war they knew was coming. Diane had been right about feeling better once she got into her second trimester. Nineteen weeks pregnant, she was almost halfway through her pregnancy. No more nausea and the past few weeks she actually had a surge of energy. She even enjoyed the Luna ceremony. Diane was true to her word, she didn’t have to do anything except show up. She had worn the dress that Logan had gotten for her, although they had to get it let out some to accommodate for her growing baby bump. She had loved the color of it. It was pale purple and was made of satin. It felt so soft against her skin. She was surprised at how much fun she had. She didn’t even mind everyone wanting to touch her stomach. Emma POV Emma was right about Evelyn, she was the other woman from her vision. Now that they were all there, she felt a lot better. She could finally relax a little bit. For the first time in a long time, she was looking forward to the future without the threat of losing everyone she cared about hanging over her head. Training continued, Zara joining them. She watched Zara spar with Jackson, who was put on his ass for the third time by Zara. Emma was both shocked and impressed. She still hadn’t managed to land a single blow on him and here Zara was, putting him on his ass. She wouldn’t admit this to anyone, but she was exhilarated watching him being knocked down, especially after all the times he has put her on her ass. Logan and Lucian had been holed up in his office the past few days, trying to come up with a game plan. They wanted to have an impenetrable defensive and a killer offense, literally. They knew no matter how well they could plan it, they would never be impenetrable.
