Nate was super excited for the new chapter of their life. Today, they had a doctor's appointment, and he was already up. The man had cancelled an important meeting just to attend the appointment. "Ready?" he asked, as she descended the stairs. "Yes," Sera answered. She was wearing a light green maxi dress. "You should hold the railing while climbing down," he told her with a subtle frown. She had to be careful with her moves now. Sera sighed inwardly and grabbed the railing. She could already tell this pregnancy was going to come with a whole new set of rules. Nate walked over to the last foot and held out his hand for her. She took his hand, finding his move charming, and climbed down the last stair. "I want you to be careful while climbing down steps," he said softly. It wasn't a command but a request. He was extra cautious this time, extra careful. He was determined. Through every moment of her pregnancy, he would stay by her side and watch over her. He wasn't above stepping
"What happened to you?" she asked, not able to understand where it was coming from. He was absolutely fine in the morning. Nate smirked. "What happened to me?" he repeated with a hint of menace. "Are you mocking me, Sera?" his voice was cutting like a dagger's blade. "You need to calm down," she said. He was clearly in a bad mood, and talking to him right now would only make things worse. Nate scoffed. "I know everything," he stated. "You tried to hide it, but I still found out." The servant quikcly left, sensing this wasn't the conversation they would want him to hear. "What are you talking about?" Sera asked, as her heart began to pound in her chest. "How long were you planning to hide it from me?" he asked. Amid the violent storm of rage in his eyes flickered a trace of agony. "How long were you going to keep my child away from me?" Sera stood frozen, her mind blank. Nate gripped her shoulders and asked, "How long, Sera?" he sounded exhausted, broken. "How long till I mat
Sera rose to her feet and opened her eyes to the reverent statue of Jesus. A teardrop slid down her cheek as she gazed at it. She had come to the church to seek answers as a turmoil churned inside her relentlessly. She knew she couldn’t keep her pregnancy a secret from him for long. She also knew the right thing to do would be to tell him about this. He deserved to know. But she was still hesitant. She could see he was trying to change, and it warmed her heart. But the fear that he might relapse into his former self once he heard the news kept gnawing away at her. She didn't want to be a caged pigeon any longer. After coming from the church, she visited the room where he had kept her belongings. From her hair strands to blood stains, he had collected everything. If he wanted to, he could easily frame her for a murder, and she would have no way to prove her innocence. Just how much he must have wanted her to hold onto her things like things? As romantic as it sounded, it was equally
"You okay?" he asked her as they descended from their high. Sera nodded without meeting his eyes. He gazed at her, trying to decipher her thoughts. After a hot, sweltering session, she had withdrawn herself. "What's wrong?" he asked, his stomach tightening in a knot. He could tell she was regretting it. She must hate him now. Sera looked up at him. The haze in her eyes had finally left. "I think someone had spiked my drink," she told him. Nate frowned. He had sensed something was wrong, but in his lust, he hadn’t been able to pinpoint it. Now the pieces clicked into place, and a wave of disappointment hit him. But his protective instincts were quick to drown it. "Where?" he questioned. I told you about the meeting. We were talking when the waiter brought our drinks. I drank mine, and ever since, I started feeling hot. And.." she trailed off, hesitant. "And?" Nate repeated, prompting her to continue. She searched his eyes for a brief moment before saying, "Promise you won't ge
Sera clutched on his biceps as he pushed deeper, his knuckles disappearing into her depths. With every stroke of his finger, she felt herself unraveling like petals of a blooming flower. The feel of his thick digits moving inside her numbed her to other thoughts. She pushed against his fingers, wanting more of him. She craved the whole of him. Every inch of his being. "Still not enough?" he breathed, grazing her insides with a slow, teasing stroke. She shook her head, unable to gather her thoughts or voice. This wasn't enough. She needed more. He sped up, ravaging her insides. She shivered uncontrollably, both pleasured and tormented by his assault. Her nails dug deep into his flesh, marking him as hers. "I want you," she managed to speak, looking him in his eyes. She wanted him inside her, giving her the pleasure that she sought so desperately. That was all Nate needed to hear. She had successfully unlocked the monster inside him. He picked her up and carried her to the couch. Sh
The meeting was in full swing when the door burst open. Nate’s brows drew together, irritation flashing in his eyes, until he saw who it was. The anger drained away, replaced by worry as his gaze landed on Sera. She was flustered, her eyes glossy, the curve of her lips turned downward. "Leave," he ordered, not taking his eyes off her. Somehow, Sera knew the command wasn’t meant for her. She stepped inside as his employees silently rose and exited the room. "What's wrong?" he asked, concern etched across his features. She rounded the table and settled herself on his lap. Nate’s arms instinctively circled her waist, adjusting her until she was comfortable against him. She met his gaze for a moment before leaning in, her lips brushing his. Nate froze, stunned, as she captured his lips. She nibbled on his soft lips, silently urging him to take the lead. The soft, insistent tug shattered his restraint. He parted his mouth, and the moment he did, the kiss turned wild, his hand sliding up
