Alpha Jacob stuck his nose up at the idea of a party. He did not care about that. Kane was running around like a love sick puppy helping Cherry with whatever she needed. Jacob felt disgusted by such a display of affection, he swore that he would never be like that with anyone.

Abigail had come along when he needed and wanted her too and he loved the power of kicking her out when he had had enough of her.
